"You're such a nobody." Terra said "Emo freak."

I began to cry. I had a bad enough life already. My dad abused me, my mom stayed in her country of Azarath without me, I was depressed most of the time. Crying was not making anything better, yet I still continued.

"Oh, go home and cut yourself."

I covered my scarred wrists with my sweater and hung my head.

"Terra, this is exactly why I broke up with you. Leave her alone." A calming voice said. I looked up and it was Garfield Logan, the star point guard on our still undefeated basketball team, the Titans. He was our resident player, but he did have a serious relationship with Terra for half a year until she went too far with her bullying just the month before. He was also my best friend since junior high.

Terra pushed me down and walked off with a huff. "I'll finish you later."

Garfield helped me up "Don't listen to her, she's a loser."

I looked up at his vibrant green eyes "Obviously the entire school doesn't think so." I said

"I think so. She shouldn't've been junior prom queen last year."

"You have a very different mindset."

He smiled and I could see that he had a chipped tooth that made his tooth look canine-like "I know. You're okay, right?"

"Yeah." I covered my wrists even more. He took notice of this and looked at me with a disappointed face.

"Again?"

"You don't know what it's like to be the one singled out, Gar. Let me be me."

"I don't like what you do to yourself. You could die like that. Then who would I copy my homework from?"

I chuckled at his response "You'll find someone."

"Nobody like you, Rae." I hated when he called me that but I let it slip this time "Nobody is like you." He pecked my lips and ran off to his other best friend Victor. I held just where he kissed me and blushed.

The little bastard made me fall in love.
