This is so cool, my mom is giving me the artistic freedom that I needed.

I just drew on my wall and she came home, went to my room and I expected her yell at me, but she didn't.

She literally sat down on my bed and watched me sharpie the hell out of my wall.

I was handed a costume. Cyborg grinned at me and said "I chose them for you guys!"

"This holiday is pointless." Raven said with her arms crossed.

"No, it's not!" I said and looked at the costume he gave me "See, I got Green Arrow!"

"Oh, no. No, no, no, Cyborg. You are so not doing this."

Cyborg gave her a sly grin "Do what?"

She held up a Black Canary costume. "Do this, I'm not doing a couples costume with him."

"Ouch!" I said and held my chest, pretending to be hurt

"Switch with me, Star." Raven said, but Starfire and Robin had already put on their Batman and Catwoman costumes

"I'm the ultimate third wheel!" Cyborg took out his giant outfit "Aquaman!"

"Let's just go to the party, alright?" Robin said with hands interlocked with Starfire's.

"So, Raven, enjoying the party?" I saw Aqualad ask Raven. He assumed a Mori costume from Ouran High School Host Club

"Not a party animal." Raven said and bit a cupcake

"Come on, dance with me." Aqualad grabbed her hand and tried to force her to the dance floor

"I said that I didn't wanna." Raven said and scowled at Aqualad

"I like this song." He tried again.

I walked over to Aqualad and stood in front of Raven "Leave her along." I yelled defensively

"Why should I?"

"She obviously doesn't want to dance with you!" Aqualad left to find a new victim

"Thanks." Raven said and tucked a stand of hair behind her ear "Would you like to dance?"

"But you said-"

"Aqualad is a creep. I'm not dancing with him."

"Well, let's go then."

We went together to the floor. A slower song started playing. All of Me by John Legend. I looked over at Cyborg. He must've saw me with Raven and took over the deejay booth, Jinx would have never played that song otherwise.

"Maybe we should just sit this one out." I suggested

"No, no, I'd like to do this." She put her arms around my neck and I placed my hands on her waist.

For a while, everything disappeared. We were the only two people in the room. I know that we were surrounded by sweaty, heavily intoxicated bodies.

But for a second, just a little bit, we were the only two in the world

She leaned into my face and closed her eyes leisurely, almost hesitantly. As if contemplating whether or not the current events made it clear that we should be together. I followed after her and after a minute of suspense, we finally made contact. Her velvety lips danced across mine and her light lip gloss tasted like a white chocolate Hershey's, just my favorite. The song played distantly in the background and the lingering smell of alcohol occupied the air.

She pulled away from me with a huge grin. The song ended after a few moment's dancing.

I smiled at her and whispered "Trick or treat?"
