Jamie's leg shook nervously as she sat in the chair waiting for Carmen to show up. She couldn't wait for school to be over before, but now she sat there not even knowing what she would say to Miguel. She didn't even truly know if he wanted to see her. She's brought out of her thoughts when a hand comes down on her shoulder. She looks up and is met with Carmen smiling.

"Hi, Ms. Diaz." Jamie says as she stands up

"Hey, sweetie. Are you ready?"

"Yeah." She says with a nod

She follows Carmen down the hall as she takes a deep breath. She stops as Carmen touches her arm,"The first door right down there."

Jamie nods as she walks down the hall. As she's walking, she sees Hawk coming out of a room. The boys looks up as he walks toward her.

"Here to see Miguel?"

"You know anyone else in here?"

He sighs, "Maybe he can get you to come to your senses about Cobra Kai."

"Whatever." She scoffs as she walks past him. As she walks up to the door, her heart rate picks up. She sees him laying there watching the TV. She knocks lightly on the door causing the boy to turn to her. He smiles instantly, "Hey, Jamie."

"Hey." She breathes

"Come in." He says as he sees her get teary eyed. She walks in carefully as she looks him over.

"Are you okay?"

"As okay as I can be." He shrugs, "How are you?"

"Better now that I know that you're alright." She chuckles as she wipes her eyes. He smiles as he nods.

"Well, don't get your hopes up too much. There's a possibility I may never walk again."

Jamie frowns, "What?"

"Yeah, I mean there is a surgery I can get. It could work, it may not, but either way it'll put my Mom in huge debt."

Jamie nods sadly as she looks down, "You'll figure something out. If anyone can get through this it's you."

Miguel's smiles lightly as he looks at her, "My mom told me that you visited a lot when I was in my coma."

"Oh, yeah. I was losing my mind not knowing if you were okay, so I visited as much as I could." She nods

"Despite having bruised ribs and a sprained wrist?" He says playfully

"Yeah, it's not that big of a deal." She jokes. He laughs as he shakes his head.

"I heard you." He says, "Everything you said."

"Really?"

"Yeah." He says softly, "Thank you. It was nice knowing that there was someone else there besides my mom and my grandma."

Her face softens, "I'll always be there."

Miguel looks at her with a look Jamie has only seen one time before, but she couldn't quite tell what it meant. She looks at him as a short moment of silence falls over them. He looks down, "So, Hawk tells me you quit karate."

Jamie rolls her eyes, "God, I've been hearing about that all week."

Miguel chuckles, "You'll probably never hear the end of it."

"Definitely not." She laughs. Miguel's heart swells at the sound.

Sienna drives slowly as she starts to exit the parking lot. She had just gotten her car washed to donate toward's Miguel's surgery. Despite Sam hosting the fundraiser, she decided to help since it was for a good cause. As she exits, she sees Hawk and Mitch sitting on their bikes with scowls on their faces.

She rolls down her window as she pulls up behind them. "What the hell are you guys doing?" They turn quickly, "I hope you know you guys look creepy as hell."

"You see this shit?" Hawk says pointing to the car wash, "They're using Miguel as their poster child."

"Their poster child? They're literally holding a fundraiser to raise money for his surgery."

"They're not even Cobra Kai. They're all Miyagi-Do."

"Like that makes a difference." She says laughing in disbelief

"It's make a hell of a difference. They can't get away with it."

Sienna eyebrows furrow as she squints. She shakes her head as she puts the car in drive, "Wow."

Jamie sat at work behind the prize counter. She was lucky her job had let her take some time off after the fight. As much as she didn't want to be there, she was feeling a little better knowing that Miguel was okay.

Someone drums on the case as they walk over. Jamie smiles as Jack stops in front of her.

"Hi." He smiles

"Hey, what's up?"

"Nothing much. Just wanted to check on you."

Jamie frowns, "That's sweet, but how'd you know I would be here?"

"I didn't, but I've been coming here to see if you'd show up since I haven't been able to get a hold of you."

"I'm so sorry about that."

"Don't apologize." He says immediately, "You were dealing with a lot." Jamie smiles softly. "Um, I actually wanted to ask if we could maybe talk after your shift? If it's not too late."

"Oh, yeah. Yeah sure." She nods

"Okay. I'll see you later." He smiles before he walks off.

Jamie's shift ended shortly after her conversation with Jack. He offered to take her out to eat and she agreed. They sat in his car in the parking lot of a burger joint Jack had recommended. Both with their burgers and fries.

"This is actually really good." Jamie laughs

"Right?"

"Yeah." She smiles

He looks at her as their laughter dies down, "So, I wanted to ask you something."

"Yeah?" She says as she takes a sip of her drink.

"Um.." He starts, "Jamie, I like you. A lot and I know you have a lot going on right now." He says as she looks down, "I just want to know the truth." Jamie furrows her brows. He takes the opportunity to continue, "Do you have feelings for Miguel?"

Jamie's eyes widen, "What?"

"I know that he means a lot to you. Which is no problem at all because I know you knew him before we had anything." He nods, "But the way I've seen you light up around him or smile isn't just that of a friend." Jamie, your entire mood has been lifted just by you knowing he's okay."

"He's one of my best friends, Jack."

"He and Hawk are best friends, too. He seemed to be walking around pretty okay even before he knew Miguel was okay." He chuckles. His smile falls slowly as he looks at her, "It's okay if you do. I'm not upset."

Jamie looks at him and he smiles lightly, "I had a crush on him a few months ago, but he got with Sam. It hasn't been anything since then. I don't know how I feel about him, Jack. I just know that I care about him."

"Okay." He says as he picks up a fry, "How about this? You think on how you feel about him and if you wanna try to go to the next level with him, you do that. If you wanna keep him as a friend and still have some interest in me, call me."

"Jack, I don't know how long that's gonna take."

"However long it takes." He shrugs, "Can't rush love."

Jamie sighs as he reaches for his drink. She looks down, "We'll still be friends, right?"

"Of course. You're too important for me to let go." He smiles as he turns to her. Jamie smiles in return as she nods.
