The team sat in complete silence in the locker room. Johnny stands before them looking around, "What I saw from you just now, it wasn't karate. It was weakness. You fought like little lambs waiting for slaughter. We keep going like this, we get eliminated tonight. Some of you will put this behind you. But some of you are gonna carry this for the rest of your lives. Knowing you had this chance to make something of yourselves. But instead, you crumbled under pressure. And you're gonna go on to live shit lives in shitty apartments with shit jobs."

"And always have to live with this failure. So if you wanna save some humiliation, why don't we just skip the next round and catch the next flight home?" Johnny says. He looks around again, "What is wrong with you guys? Where's your fight? Aren't you gonna stand up for yourselves?"

"You keep blaming us like this isn't on you too." Sam says, "If my Dad had been there, we never would've lost like that."

"Yeah, well, he didn't show up."

"Probably because of you. You keep disrespecting him, trying to prove your way is better, when it's so clear that we should've been using Miyagi-Do. You shouldn't even be wearing that gi."

Devon jumps up, "Hey! Don't talk to my sensei like that."

"Your sensei got you knocked off the board in ten seconds. I would sit down if I were you. You're not helping us. I don't even know how you made this team." Sam snaps as Devon sits down wide eyed

Demetri sighs, "Well, I, for one, will be putting all of this behind me when I'm off to MI-"

"Shut the fuck up about MIT." Hawk exclaims, "Some of us care about winning the tournament. Be nice if you did too."

"You're yelling at all of us, but shouldn't your main focus be your captains?" Priscilla says before motioning towards Jamie, "Your female captain clearly isn't focused on the main reason she's here. She got knocked off because she was distracted."

Jamie looks over to her, "Were you not knocked down in under thirty seconds? That's not something you should be proud of. Although it is longer than you lasted in the fight to become captain where I kicked your ass for the sixth time, so I guess it's a huge accomplishment for you."

"Guys, can we cool it?" Robby says as Priscilla's face falls, "This isn't helping. We need to focus up."

"Maybe you should listen to your own advice." Miguel mutters

Robby's brows raise, "Got something to say?"

Miguel turns to him, "I already did."

Miguel grabs his bag and stands. Johnny steps in front of him, "Hey, I'm not finished."

"No offense, but I'm pretty sure we've heard enough from you." Miguel says before walking out. The rest of the team slowly follows behind him, "Guys, come on. Robby."

"Sorry, Dad." Robby mumbles before walking out leaving Johnny in the locker room

Sienna entered the room with her arm full of bags. She kicks the door closed before setting her bags on the bed. She looks over to Jamie who laid back against her bed, "Hey."

"Hey." Jamie mutters

Sienna plops down on her bed, "You okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine."

"I saw you kind of got distracted."

"Yup."

"You did good though."

"Thanks."

Sienna sighs, "Okay, what's wrong? You've been in this depressing mood the entire time you've been here and I know you can't be this upset over Tory. Is it because of your dad?"

Jamie's heart rate speeds up, "No, it's nothing. Don't worry about it."

"Don't worry about it?" Sienna scoffs, "Since when do you keep this kind of stuff away from me?"

"I don't have to tell you about every little thing, Sienna." Jamie snaps

"I'm not saying that, Jamie. I'm just saying if you need someone to talk to, I'm right here."

"I don't need anybody to talk to." Jamie says sitting up, "Especially not you. You don't have shitty parents, you don't have to worry about whether or not you can pay for college, you don't have the pressure of everybody's future on your shoulders with this stupid tournament. Your life is perfect and so are you. I don't need you telling me everything is gonna be fine because it's not. I just need you to leave me alone."

A tense silence fills the room as Sienna stares back at Jamie. Her heart feeling as though it had been ran over a hundred times. Before she could muster up a response, Jamie gets up and leaves. The door slamming behind her as Sienna's eyes remain locked on the spot her best friend was just in.

Jamie rushes down the hall as she thinks over what just took place. She felt horrible as soon as the words left her mouth. She didn't mean any of it. Sienna had been there for her for years and never judged her for anything that she went through.

Truthfully, Jamie had reached her boiling point a while ago. Sienna had just unfortunately been the one to take the heat as soon as she exploded. As Jamie turns the corner, she jumps back.

"Oh, I'm sorry." Miguel says before smiling softly, "Hey."

"Hi." Jamie says, "Everything okay?"

"Yeah, just kind of got into an argument with Robby."

"About what?"

"He's not focused on the tournament." Miguel sighs, "His mind is somewhere else and I just don't think it's fair that he's just blowing his chance."

"I don't think he's doing it on purpose."

Miguel frowns, "What?"

"Well, Miguel, he's probably distracted with Tory." Jamie says, "And while I do think you're doing a whole lot better than him and should probably be champion, I don't think laying into him is helping."

"So, what?" Miguel says stepping forward, "You're just taking his side? This could've changed my life, Jamie. This could've secured my spot to Stanford."

"I'm not taking his side. I'm saying people have other shit going on that are just as important to them as this tournament."

"Where is this coming from?" Miguel asks, "All of a sudden, you don't care about the tournament because your dad shows up?"

Jamie's face scrunches up in anger, "You don't know shit about my dad. Not everyone is lucky enough to have a replacement parent like you."

Miguel's face softens as Jamie's eyes quickly fill with tears, "Jamie."

"I can't do this right now." Jamie scoffs shaking her head before walking past him.

"Do what?" Miguel says turning toward her

"This. You." She points. Miguel's face falls as Jamie stares at him. Her chest rising and falling rapidly as her words continue to sink in.

His eyes follow her as she storms off down the hall. Miguel turns back as he hears a door opening down the hall. His brows furrow as Sienna steps out.

"Have you seen Jamie?" Sienna asks as she approaches him

"She just took off down the hall." Miguel says pointing behind him, "We just got into an argument."

"Us too." Sienna sighs

Miguel frowns, "What? About what?"

"I don't even know. She seemed upset and I just wanted her to talk to me and she blew up on me."

"Oh god." Miguel mutters, "So, she's been acting the same to you? On edge all the time."

"Yeah." Sienna scoffs, "Obviously more than just on edge. I don't know what the hell is going on with her."

"Me either." Miguel sighs
