Karate practice was back in full swing as everyone stood around at Miyagi-Do. Everyone in different groups stretching and talking amongst themselves.

"So, you and Jamie doing good? Everything figured out?" Eli says as he stretches

"Yeah, we're great." Miguel says with a smile as they look over at Jamie who was laughing with Sienna, who definitely shouldn't've been there, but was anyway.

"Yeah, I think great is an understatement." Demetri says, "You've both got this glow going on."

Miguel frowns, "What glow?"

"The sex glow." Demetri nods

"Dude." Miguel sighs

"I mean I see it." Eli shrugs, "You haven't stopped staring at her."

"She's my girlfriend. I can't stare at my girlfriend?"

"Oh, you can, but it's the sex stare." Demetri says causing Miguel to glare at him

"Can't believe that piece of shit's on our team." Eli says causing the two to look over. They see Robby laughing with Jamie and Sienna as he passed by them.

"All right. Relax. Okay?" Miguel says, "He wants exactly what we want. It's gonna be okay."

Everyone looks over as they hear a loud whistle. They see Chozen standing in a dark gray gi on the platform.

"Line up!"

They all walk over as Sienna sneaks out causing Jamie to laugh to herself.

"So where are my dad and Johnny?" Sam says

"Not here. Today, you train with me." He says. He then yells something in Japanese, but none of the teens catch it, "Attention."

They all stand up straight with their hands at their sides. He tries again to yell something in Japanese, but just confuses the teens further, "Bow."

They do as told before standing up straight again.

"Cobra Kai gaining ground. We must prepare." He nods, "Come."

They step up on the platform as he turns away.

"This is gonna be badass. Check out that throwing knife." Mitch says lowly

"Now, we learn about Yanbaru Kuina." Chozen says

"What is that? Like, some top-secret karate move?" Chris says, "Like a throat rip?"

Jamie sighs as he imitates someone choking. Chozen furrows his brows, "No. It is bird. In English called Okinawa rail. Endangered. Cannot fly."

"Hence, endangered." Demetri nods as Miguel, Jamie, and Eli turn to him. Chozen then pulls out a carton of eggs.

"So these are, uh, the real eggs?" Miguel says

"No. Trader Joe's. $3.29." Chozen says causing Jamie to chuckle, "Take egg."

The teens in front lean over and grab the eggs. Jamie grabs two and hands one to a student behind her.

"So what do we do with them?" Jamie says

"Yanbaru Kuina must protect egg. From Kume Shima habu. Poison snake. You must do same. Begin your preparation." Chozen says

"What are we protecting them from?" Robby says

"From me." He says. He yells as he pulls out two daggers. Jamie's eyes go wide as he holds them out to them, "Go! Go!"

Jamie wastes no time in pushing past kids to run off.

As Jamie looked around for some way to hide and protect her egg, she doesn't realize she's coming up toward Robby and Sam.

"Hey, Jamie." Robby says

The girl looks up, "Oh, hey."

"Have a plan yet?"

"Not really." She sighs, "Hopefully I come up with something soon."

"Yeah, me too." Anthony says from beside Sam

"You know, if you can find a way to keep the egg on you without having to use your hands, you can leave your hands for defense." Sam speaks up

Jamie just nods in return. Robby sensing the tension, cuts in, "I'm sure you'll come up with something. It's better than what Mitch is doing."

Jamie chuckles as she shakes her head. They hadn't realized the three boys staring over at them.

"Look at him trying to move in on her." Eli spits, "If you want, I'll kick his ass."

Miguel smiles lightly as he looks down, "No, you don't need to do that. Robby and I are cool now.
Besides, I'm pretty sure they're just, uh, trying to get to know each other."

They look around again as Chozen whistles.

"Looks like the Hunger Games have begun." Demetri says, "Luckily, I have eggs-ecuted the perfect plan. When I win, everyone will have egg on their face. They'll be shell-shocked. The yolk will-"

"Okay, we get it. What's your plan?" Eli says

"I'm glad you asked. I have created a protective covering. I made it out of my college prep book
for blunt force impact, and I tied the whole thing together with an old spool of dental floss and my left shoelace." He says holding up his egg and placing it on a stand, "Yep. It's pretty durable."

Before they know it, a dagger goes through the whole thing causing the yolk to come out of the bottom. Jamie's jaw drops as Demetri's eyes go wide.

She watches as Miguel and Eli take off causing her to chuckle. She hurries off unaware of the eyes following her.

Jamie makes her way through the Miyagi-Do dojo. She looks all around her to sense any sign of Chosen.

As she enters a room, she turns looking around her. She turns quickly as she hears someone coming up behind her. She sighs and lets her guard down as she realizes it's just Miguel.

"Jesus, Miguel, you almost gave me a heart attack." She says placing her hands on her knees

"Sorry." He chuckles, "Um, I think we're the last two left."

"I guess so." She says standing up as he comes closer, "Where's your egg?"

"Uh.." He starts as he reaches in his pocket, "It's in my pocket. Where's yours?"

She reaches into her hoodie pocket pulling it out, "Doesn't seem like the safest place."

"Yeah." He smiles

Jamie looks past him as she hears footsteps. He turns just as Sam walks in.

"Oh, hey." She says awkwardly

Miguel smiles politely, "Hey, you still in?"

"Yeah." She smiles

"Good." He nods as he turns to Jamie who just stays silent, "So, you're back in karate?"

"Yeah. I'm just as surprised as you are. I think I just needed to remember what these lessons are really for. I'm finally starting to feel balanced again."

"That's, uh, that's great. I'm happy for you." He nods

Jamie frowns as she looks around. She jumps out of the way just as Chozen comes up behind Miguel and uses a stick to trip him. As he falls, his egg cracks in his pocket. Miguel groans as he reaches in and pulls out egg yolk.

The two girls get into position as Chozen stands in front of them.

"If you want the last two eggs, you're gonna have to go through us."

He reaches into his gi and pulls out two eggs before holding them up, "These eggs?"

Jamie's eyes widen as she pats around her hoodie realizing her egg was in fact gone. Sam brings her backpack around and sighs as she sees it wide open.

"How?" Jamie mumbles

"One bird in hand helpless." He says crushing the eggs in his hand before walking out. Jamie sighs from her place beside Sam.

All of the teens stood outside again as they watched Chozen crack an egg in a pan. The looks on their faces making it evident that they were definitely annoyed.

"You are not good Yanbaru Kuina. Snakes will take you down one by one. I have tried to tell you what you must do. But you do not listen." He sighs, "You must learn to adapt. Or soon, you will be extinct. Take new eggs. Try again."

Sam walks forward and grabs the carton of eggs. Everyone gathers around her to grab one.

"Sensei Toguchi's real cryptic, like Mr. LaRusso, but aggressive like Sensei Lawrence." Demetri says

"It's like the hardest part of both styles." Chris says

"Can't wait to get our asses kicked again." Mitch says starting to walk away

"Uh, no. No, um," Anthony starts, "G-Guys, uh, wait. He said that the snakes will take us down one by one. Right? Just like he took us down one by one, but what if we weren't a bunch of ones?"

Jamie furrows her brows in confusion as he continues, "Like, what if we were-"

"Together." Sam finishes

"Yeah, exactly. Like, um, a raiding party in Dungeon Lords."

Jamie's confusion deepens as she sees Demetri's face light up.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah! Even if you're a level 85, you can't mount an attack on the grand realm alone."

"Exactly. You need a team. Everybody has a special role." Eli says

"The only way we win is if we work together. As one." Anthony says. Miguel looks down toward Jamie who looks back up at him.

They were all now standing on the platform. A line formed in front of the eggs they put in one bucket.

"So we're sure we want to put all our eggs in one basket?" Demetri says

"That's the complete opposite of what we're supposed to do." Jamie says

"This is gonna work." Anthony says

Mitch jumps as they hear the whistle again, "Oh no, oh no. Oh God."

"Get it together, penis breath." Eli says

"Has anyone seen him yet?" Sam says looking around. They barely notice him running toward them as they look around them.

"Oh shit." Jamie says as he gets closer. He yells as he swings his bō at Eli who grabs it. Robby kicks it away from them before he swings it again.

He's then kicked away as he tries to go at him. Eli keeps a firm grip on the bō as he's swung around. Demetri kicks at him as Miguel pulls Eli away.

"Grab the bō!" Eli yells

Jamie is first up as she tries to grab it from him. Demetri and a few other kids trying grabbing it altogether.

Chozen then ducks under and rolls toward the eggs. They hurry to toss the bō as Anthony grabs the bucket. Sam starts to swing at him, but is blocked as Miguel comes to kick him. They both swing and kick at him before Sam grabs at his arm. Miguel hurries to kick his side, but Chozen pushes Sam away.

Robby and Eli kick him back. Chris goes to tackle him, but gets pushed off. They then all stand in front of Anthony. Jamie standing between Robby and Demetri as she breathes heavily. Chozen tries going to the left, but they block. He tries the right, but they also block.

He then stands up straight, but the teens were still weary.

"Snake concede." He says before bowing to them. Jamie sighs happily.

"Dude, it worked!" Eli yells as the teens cheer and hug Anthony. Miguel hugs Jamie picking her up slightly.

"This is what we have that Cobra Kai does not. Their movement mile wide, but only inch deep. But our movement, inch wide, but mile deep. Now that you have learned to work together, I will teach you how to master your defense." Chozen nods

"Yoshi! Kiotsuke!" He yells as the students stand up straight, "Hai."

They all bow together with small smiles on their face.
