Quirk: Earthbound. It allows her to control pieces of the earth as a form of battle or defends or even as transportation. Her hero name is Ground Breaker.
Quirk Strengths: Hotaru does well in environments that have a lot of solid ground, like a forest. Having large open spaces is also a plus, Hotaru needs all the room she can get if she wants to use her quirk.
Quirk Weakness:
It's weak when the soil in the ground is poor or if there's not much earth around her. She can only use her quirk for atleast 13 mintues and if used too long she will lose feeling her hands and feet, if not treated right away, she'll be slower and weaker. Water is a big thing for Hotaru. It turns her earth into mud, which she cannot use so she tries to avoid water at most costs unless she absolutely has to. Hotaru also needs to keep her energy up or else her quirk won't work as well or at all.

Personality: Hotaru is normally a girl who will speak what ever come to mind. She's a bit of a smarta$$ and will have rude remarks. Hotaru does have a soft side for kids and her younger sister. She holds her younger sister dearly and would do anything to keep her safe. Like most people she has her limits but kinda has a explosive temper. Hotaru is kinda hard to tease if you catch her on guard if you catch her off guard she'll be a blushing mess and act very sweet and kind which surprises most people. She isn't hard to get along with you just have to find you're way into it.
Likes:
Being outside: Having an elemental quirk, Hotaru has grown to love the outdoors since that's where she spends most of her time.
Her younger sister: Being the only family member she has, Hotaru is very close to her younger sister. She'll always protect her and wants to make her feel safe and happy. These two are always together when Hotaru isn't at school or working.
Messing with Bakugou: Hotaru absolutely loves messing with the blonde. It gives her something to do besides school work. She just absolutely loves seeing his angered face when she ticks him off.
Spicy foods: Hotaru absolutely loves all types of spicy foods. She'll eat anything that has a spice kick to it. It doesn't burn her mouth at all.
Having fun: Being able to have fun has always been a part of Hotaru. She knows that her hero studies and training are very important but she also know that you need to give the brain and body sometime to relax and reboot.
Dislikes:
Mud: Now, she doesn't have a problem with getting on herself or her clothes but it does become a problem when she wants to use her quirk. She's practically useless in mud.
Snow: Hotaru has always hated the cold. She's never liked it. Her finger tips start to turn blue and she's still freezing no matter how many layers of clothes she has on.
Failing: Hotaru knows that failing is a part of life and happens to everyone but that doesn't mean that she likes it. Due to the intense pressure from her teachers (and the pressure she pushes onto herself), Hotaru has always dreaded the thought of failing.
Loud sounds: Despite being someone who is very loud, Hotaru doesn't like sudden loud sounds. For instance, she hates the sound of fireworks. She finds them beautiful but hated their sound. Hotaru has gotten better at handling it but would much rather avoid it if she can.

Backstory:
Hotaru lived a pretty decent life. She grew up with her parents and then her younger sister. By the time she went into middle school, things changed. Her mother practically vanished into thin air, leaving her husband and children behind. Hotaru's father had to work himself harder to provide for his little girls. To help out, Hotaru got a job at a local restaurant. Then Hotaru found herself looking at U.A., she wanted to become a hero. Working her tail off, Hotaru was expected into the school. During this time, her father rose the ranks of business and soon became head-executive of the company he was working for. He was finally able to stabilize the money him and his family got.
Triva:
•Hotaru's ears are pierced but due to training, she never has them in.
•Hotaru is about 5'2 but does later grown into her adult height of 5'5
•Hotaru does extremely well in school which surprises a lot of people due to her explosive and "delinquent" attitude.
•Hotaru deeply loves her little sister, willing to do anything to keep her safe despite all the times she annoys her.
