time away from mary and emotions....bad emotions

I'm doing filler chapters for a bit because I feel like I'm being rushed to get started with the book. It's not any of you, it's just me. I feel like I'm rushing myself doing this book as trying to actually start the book with no fillers.

--

Since it was the beginning of summer break and Tyler wanting to get away from her cousin as possible until Frank says he wants her back home.

She will be hanging out with Jaxon and his parents at the vet clinic which is also her summer job when she's not in school. She gets to work with animals all day and that's the perfect time to unwind for a while at least in her opinion.

"Someone's ready, to leave?" Was the voice of Jeremy Beck which is Jaxon's father and the wife of Jasmine.

"Tell me about it, god seven year olds are annoying." Tyler says as she puts her duffel bag in the backseat of Jeremy's car.

After she got her things like her phone changer and a pack of her cinnamon gum, she was set and she hoped in the passenger seat. She never leaves without her gum in the first place she'd be crazy if she did.

"Yeah, tell me about it." Jeremy said as Tyler snickered as he is the type where she can have someone to talk about random shit and he was a somewhat better father figure than Frank.

Not that she loves her own father, but he doesn't really understand what Tyler is going through no matter how hard she explains it to him. He won't understand, but Jeremy does. Maybe that's why they are basically so close even if she won't related to him by any means.

He and Jasmine are one of the most understanding people that Tyler knows, maybe that's why she's always looking forward to her summer job.

Because at least at she could go to understanding people, that understands her problems.

"I thought I could pick up my favorite girl." Jeremy says to Tyler and she couldn't help but smile at the man.

"What about Jas? She's your wife." Tyler says as they pulled up to the house, that holds her boyfriend and Jasmine.

"Just don't tell her I said that, otherwise I'd be sleeping on the floor for the rest of my life." Jeremy said as Tyler crackles with laugher as it echoes in the car. Tyler may not always laugh like this but she enjoys it even if it sounds weird.

"What come on you don't want to sleep with Loki? I thought you loved him? Apparently you don't." Tyler says mentioning Loki their Australian Shepherd who is five years old, and he's the cutest.

"Yeah no, I'd pass on that." Jeremy says as they got out of the car and as per usual Loki greeted Tyler and she picked up the pooch and cradled him in her arms.

"Hey, little dude. Missed me?" Tyler says and then Loki attacks her with his love which caused the girl to giggle which sounds weird as it happens.

"Are you sick, you don't giggle? Even around me." Was the voice that Tyler instantly wanted to forget of her little moment with the pooch as she handed Loki to Jeremy.

"HHHHHEEEYYYY JAXON." Tyler says in a high voice as she awkwardly rubs the back of her neck. The boyfriend comes walking to his girlfriend and quickly pecked her on her lips.

"Suprise, surprise, Tyler is here." Jaxon says in a slightly raspy voice that made Tyler blush on the insides as she loves his raspy voice when he wakes up which he might've before she got to the house.

"Okay, lovebirds who wants breakfast?" Was the voice of Jasmine who was at the front door as Loki ran towards her as he was hungry too.

Even the animals got to eat too! Right?

Before Tyler even step foot into the house she felt something on her forehead and she grabbed it and it was Jaxon's hand. She grabbed his hand and slapped it onto his forehead.

"What? There was something on your face and now it's gone." Tyler says as she smirks as she walks into the house where Jaxon has a red mark on his forehead from where his hand slapped.

"She got you son." Jeremy says as she walks into the house leaving Jaxon speechless of what just happened.

"Hey, you're supposed to be on my side!" The young son says to his father as the oldest man grins at his son and the said son rolls his eyes at his father.

"No can do." Jeremy says as he walked into the house with his son having a look of disbelief on his face. Did his father seriously just do that?

Mary wasn't happy when Frank told her the most devastating news in the entire world. She's going to school. Like who does that to a kid.

Frank said that he'd taught her everything that he knows and he definitely wasn't going to go to Tyler because she has a short fuse with the girl, okay anyone whom she finds highly annoying and doesn't know the sense of privacy whatsoever. Which also is Mary.

Frank doesn't know how many times that he woke up to Tyler getting agitated with Mary because the blonde girl just wants to help her cousin with her homework when Tyler specifically said 'NO!'. Mary thought that it was rude.

"Why are you sending me to school again," Mary says annoyed to say the least. The man sighs he's on the boat fixing an engine on a boat.

"Because it's technically not school, it's summer school." Frank says in a duh and an annoyed tone of how many times he's said that after Tyler left.

"Why summer school, that's boring." Mary says as she plays with a string of her hand-me-down shorts from Tyler.

"Why? Are you doing this again?" Mary asks again as it's now making Frank agitated with the girl.

"Are you done asking questions Mary?" Frank says not as duh as earlier as he's now annoyed.

"Well now I see where Tyler gets her anger issues from." Mary sasses to Frank and before he could say anything his saving grace came. Roberta.

Roberta is his neighbor that comes over sometimes to see how everyone is doing. When Frank looked up and saw Roberta he sighed in relief. The black woman opened the door and Mary had fake enthusiasm.

"Yay she's here." Mary says when Roberta walked into the house.

"She's a little cranky because I'm making her go to Summer School. Don't mind her." Frank says as he refills his coffee cup. Roberta shake her head as she's used to sarcasm and fake enthusiasm from Tyler.

"Don't worry I'm used to it with Ty." Roberta says as very few people can call Tyler that name. She doesn't like when other people call her that especially if she doesn't know you or something like that. "You get used to it after a while."

"Good point." Frank says before he turns his attention to Mary. "You ready for Summer School?" Frank says bending down to her level.

The blonde rolls her eyes at the man. "I suppose." She says back to him as he moved a strain of her hair behind her ear as there's an awkward silence between them.

"I can take her if you want?" Roberta asks and Frank looks up to her like she just spoke another language that he didn't understand. "I can take you sweetie, if you want?"

"Anything to get out of this silence." Mary says as she grabs her backpack and goes to Roberta.

"Bye Mary." Frank says to the little girl.

"Whatever." The blonde girl says as Roberta walks next to her and they are out of the house and Frank sighs.

"Never thought she'd leave." Frank says as he grabs his things that he needs and makes sure that Fred has food and water in his dish and then he goes out to his truck.

Back with Tyler
♡♡♡♡

Tyler never thought that she'd get away from her cousin as she looks forward to this every year. Tyler's hair is in a French braid after Jasmine begged to do her hair which was fine with the girl as she loves jasmines touch. It reminds her of her mother before the accident.

"Why is seven year olds exhausting?" Tyler says as they finished breakfast as Jasmine chuckles a little at the teenager that she considers her daughter.

"That bad huh." Jasmine says to the girl as Tyler nods her head.

"Tell me about it." Tyler says with a sigh of relief.

"It's not as bad as you're making it seem Ty." Jeremy says as Tyler looks at him confused as her eyebrows furrowed.

"Why you say it like that?" Tyler says to the man and he brushed his hand through his hair.

"Dad had to raise his four siblings at that age and he thought that it would be the hardest thing in the entire world but he met someone that changed his prospective of it, and that's when he realized that it wasn't as bad as it seems." Jaxon says as he walked past his father and girlfriend as Tyler's eyes gazed to her boyfriend and then back at Jeremy.

The father sighed as it pains him talking about it but now that Jaxon brought it up, as Jasmine scolded her son about saying that as today was the anniversary of when he was seven and had to raise his three sisters and brother.

"Jaxon Micheal Beck stop it right now." Jasmine says scolding her son as Jeremy and Tyler's eyes gaze towards the woman and they linger on the mother before turning back to each other.

Tyler was still processing was just said and Jeremy put his hands on the girl's shoulder which made her come back to reality, they both had sad looks on their faces. More so Jeremy because today is always a hard day for him no matter what, and out side of being Jaxon's birthday. So that was a bonus when this day comes around.

"I'm not wrong, sue me!" Jaxon says as Jasmine looks at him as Jaxon has a nervous look on his face.

"It's okay, just take what I said when the summer is over okay." Jeremy says to the girl as Tyler nods her head as Jeremy kissed the top of her forehead.

Jasmine smiles sadly as seventeen years ago she was actually pregnant with a baby as it was too early on in the first couple weeks and then one day she suddenly miscarried bee little baby. It wasn't until when Jaxon was eleven when he got seriously hurt basically to the point where he saw what appeared to be a girl. A couple more days later as they were leaving the hospital Jaxon asked if Jasmine had another child and she broke down crying. Jasmine knew exactly what her son was talking about, as she remembered vividly when she was pregnant with what would have been hee first child before Jaxon, she never knew that it was a girl. She sadly smiled as when he told her that the girl that he saw that she was most likely his older sister.

Once Tyler was done pricessing it she had baby tears in her eyes and Jeremy wiped them away. She couldn't think of anything to say to him as she just felt sadness consuming her. She felt herself slightly shaking as it sometimes happens when she gets overwhelmed, especially like right now.

"Oh." Tyler said to Jeremy as he had a somewhat sad look on his face but it had a faded smile on his face. He brought the girl to his arms as she wrapped her arms around his neck as he rubbed her back soothingly.

Once the teenager girl actually somewhat stopped crying she wiped her tears on her shirt.

"Man and I didn't want to cry today, but look what happened." Tyler said to Jeremy as him, Jasmine and Jaxon laughed at the girl.

"It's alright." Jeremy says to the girl as she nods her head at him with a baby smile on her face.

Meanwhile *back to Frank*

Frank was on the boat on the dock fixing the engine as it needed get fixed as he was humming a song in his head.

"Come on." Frank says grunting as he's sweating from fixing five boats in six hours. It's probably his new record right now, but it won't last long anyway. Because there's a lot of boats that need to get fixed.

After a couple minutes struggling with the boat engine it finally went in after struggling with it. "Finally." He says as just then his phone rang and without looking he clicked on it.

"Yeah." He says as he listened to what the woman said about Mary. "She did what now." He said as the woman continued telling him what happened. "Yeah sure thing I will be there in a bit. Thanks." He said as he hung up before the woman could have a chance of saying anything.

"Out of all the days why Mary." Frank says as he just picked up the girl who stabbed a student with a pencil and it drew blood.

"It wasn't my fault." Mary says defensively to the man as he sighs as he looked out the window of the truck.

"Ooh who's fault was it then?" Frank asked sarcastically to the girl as he wasn't in the mood right now and now that Mary is suspended for a week of the incident. He basically has to babysit the girl because he wouldn't trust Tyler doing it as she doesn't have patience and is actually going to do it.

"It was the kid's fault. He was picking on another kid, by calling him 'four-eyed' because he wears glasses." Mary says as Frank rolled his eyes at his niece as that doesn't explain why she stabbed the kid with a pencil.

"Okay, so why did you stab the kid with a pencil?" Frank asked as they pulled up to a gas station as he needs some more gas.

"Because the asshat was bullying the other kid. Keep up Frank." Mary said to her Uncle as he gave her a look as he got his wallet and walked away without giving her another glance or word.

"Well someone is in a bad mood today." Mary mumbled to herself as she starts playing with the radio to find something good to listen to as she's bored.

---

After Frank got gas he went back to the dock. Mary sat in the boat looking out at the water, while Frank finishes up with the boat that he was working on earlier. Before he had to go pick up his niece from summer school.

"I putted you in summer school for a reason, Mary. Not to be stabbing kids with pencils. When you go back there you are going to apologize to the kid. Got it." Frank says without taking his eyes off of the boat as Mary rolled her eyes at him.

"Fine. I suppose, I can." Mary sassed to the man as Frank rolled his eyes at the girl. As her and Tyler are so similar that he doesn't like it. Matter of fact he doesn't wike it one bit.

"No, don't say that you suppose. You will whether you like it or not. That was unacceptable behavior Mary Jean." Frank says in a scolding voice to the girl as she angrily putted her knees to her chest and her tight fists on her chin. She huffed a breath as the wind was blowing in her face but she didn't care.

"You don't have to say my middle name too." Mary says as Frank mentally told him to calm down before he says something that he'll regret. He can deal with Tyler's attitude and sarcasm but he can't deal with Mary's.

"Yes I do because you don't listen to me at all." Frank says as he finished with the boat that he's working on.

"Is it because I'm not the golden child." Mary says curiously to the man as it took him a moment to know what she meant. Once it clicked he shook his head at the girl as he sat on a stool with a beer in hand.

"Why you say that?" Frank says to the girl as he's not in his 'scolding' voice he's calm but curious to know what she meant.

"I mean you let Tyler get away with all of these things but you get mad at me when I do it. It feels like your favorite Ty over me." Mary says without looking up as her fists were still on her chin. The man looked at the girl as he couldn't believe that she thinks that he has favoritism over the two.

"I don't mean to have favoritism over you too. Sometimes I don't even realize about it until you get into trouble. I know I've been doing it since you were a toddler and Ty was still a kid. But I'm sorry." Frank says as he never thought that he'd say about half of what he just said.

"I forgive you." Mary says to the man, as he has a small smile on his face.

----

A week later

----

Tyler still has been at the vet and talking to Jeremy about things that she actually wants to tell her dad. She is now on her break at the vet as Jasmine and a couple other coworkers are receptionists. The ones that aren't receptionists are, Jeremy, Jaxon, Tyler, Bella, Sofia, Aria, Mikayla, Chase, Katie, and Alyssa.

(I will put who plays Bella, Sofia, Aria, Mikayla, Chase, Katie and Alyssa at the end of the chapter or sometime in the book).

Tyler got into Jeremy's car as she was going out for lunch for her break. She turned on the car and drove off somewhere as she thought of what sounded good.

Then she didn't see what happened and then the next thing that she knew everything was black.
