Shit
(Lily above)
"Now, who can attempt to read this excerpt on the board from the book 'The Cay'?" Our extra help/speech teacher asked us.
Tapping my feet in a rhythm on the tiled floor, I aimlessly stared around the room occasionally glancing at the clock, waiting for the clock to strike 2:30.
"Kaehi, can you volunteer for us?" I snapped my head to the front, Mrs. Krawman wearing a displeased look on her face.
I squinted my eyes, trying to make sense of the letters as they moved around, switching and jumbling into gibberish.
Sighing in defeat, I said, "No can do teach, the letters won't stay still".
She rolled her eyes in disbelief, "Please girl, you haven't even tried. How about you tr-"
The bell signaling the end of the last period sounded, and I was out the door. Slinging my bag over my shoulder and quickly moving through the halls, I found myself at the entrance of the school, waiting for Lily, my best friend.
I saw a glimpse of silver on the ramp, and immediately knew who it was. Lily crutched down to meet me at the base of the ramp. Smiling, but wearing a worried look on her face. Her nose twitched and her body stiffened.
"Lily, you ok?" I asked her.
"Yeah, um, do you wanna sleepover tonight?" She asked me, fear evident in her shaky voice.
"I gotta ask, hold up"
I texted my dad asking, and he gave me the ok.
"I've never been to your apartment before" I realized. Usually, she came over my house, occasionally helping me with my routines and with fighting off horny drunk patrons at the restaurant.
"Oh, um yeah, about that-" she started.
A honk came from behind me, coming from a white van. I peered into the window and shrieked in disbelief.
"A-are you seeing this?" I asked her shakily.
The guy in the driver's seat had wayyy too many eyes. They were fucking everywhere on his body. I saw his arm reach up and press a button, causing the door to the back to open.
Lily made her way towards the van, gesturing me to come with her.
I caught up with the crazy cripple, "Are you insane?" I scolded "That guy is covered in eyes"
She simply sighed, "I know. Get in".

We had stopped at my apartment, and I grabbed a duffle bag filled with clothes, hygiene products, makeup, and painting supplies.
After driving for what seemed like an eternity, we pulled onto this dirt road, the ocean smell lingering in the air.
"Where the hell are we?" I asked.
"Long Island Sound" Lily replied.
She began taking off her pants, "What the hell are you doing?" I exclaimed.
Shrugging them on the floor, her legs were something completely unexpected.
The bitch had white goat legs, stopping at her hips, hooves and all. She yanked off her signature beanie to reveal curled horns. My breath caught in my throat.
"What the fuuuuuuuuuck" I muttered.
A crash came from the roof, and the driver immediately pulled out knives and tossed them back to us. An inhumane screech came from outside.
"Argus, open the doors," Lily demanded.
I grabbed my duffle with my heart beating wildly in my chest. The door slid open and I was greeted by a wrinkly old bat lady. Just dandy.
"Shit, a Fury," Lily yelled, tugging my arm.
Another screech came from above, and I was dragged into the forest. I held the knife in my hand, completely bewildered from what was going on.
"Arghh" a scream escaped from my mouth. My back felt like it was lit on fire, my green shirt dampening with blood immediately.
Lily pulled my arm, putting me behind her. She pulled out a set of reeds and played a melodious tune. Roots sprung from the forest ground, encasing the bat lady in a wooden prison. It screeched and thrashed, only to be silenced by Lily. She simply walked forward and stabbed it in the heart.
And it just disintegrated. Into black dust. W h a t
She nodded her head behind me, and I saw a large arch with a different language written on it. Two torches stood on both ends. Suddenly, the letters rearranged.
'Camp Half-Blood'
Did she bring me to a summer camp?
I dropped, letting darkness envelop me.

I woke up to clattering and mumbling. I was laying on my stomach with something wrapped around my torso.
"Who's the new chick?" A melodious voice asked.
"Dunno arrived a couple of hours ago with some deep cuts," a guys voice said.
"Oh, what a shame, c'mon Seaweed Brain, she's fine. Let's have some alone time" A different females voice purred.
I flipped myself onto my back, pain shooting through me. I forced my eyes open to find a girl with stormy grey eyes glaring bitterly at me, a boy that literally radiated sunshine and a boy with a black mop of hair and piercing green eyes. Everyone except Mr. Sunshine had armor on that looked old as shit.
"Will, she's awake," The black-haired boy said.
"I can see that dumbass" the guy, I think called Will retorted, filling a cup with this foreign liquid and handing it to me, "Drink up".
I sleepily rubbed my eyes. Hesitantly, I sipped it, tasting mint chocolate chip ice cream.
"Mm, this is so damn good" I practically moaned.
"Its nectar," The girl said, still looking displeased at my presence. Wonder what was her issue.
Will threw a shirt at me, orange with the camp name on it, "Put it on, you're basically healed"
I looked at him, puzzled, then looked down at my chest. The only thing that was covering the goods was some bandages. No wonder the chick didn't seem like she liked me, I was basically topless in front of her guy.
I felt myself flush, and I tossed on the shirt, but not without discomfort on my wounds. So this bullshit wasn't a dream.
Eyes widening, I jumped up, grabbed my duffle from the ground and crouched in a fighting stance, "Where the living fuck am I?"
I narrowed my eyes at the two boys, distrusting them more than anyone else. Blondie looked shocked, and the guys had a 'what's her problem' look on their faces.
"Easy tiger," Will soothed, "You're at a camp for, well, special kids".
"Bullshit," I spat, getting angrier every second. If they had done me or anyone I loved wrong, I would make sure the scales are balanced.
I let my temper take control of me and plowed out what seemed to be the infirmary and took in my surroundings. Things like Lily roamed plains of strawberry fields, kids fighting in battle arenas, people firing arrows on the range, and cabins unique to itself were set in a horseshoe shape around a fire pit.
I shook my head, and sprinted towards what I assumed was the entrance when a burst erupted in my ears, water making a wall in front of me, stopping me from leaving.
I twisted around to find Raven head holding his hand out, seemingly controlling the water.
Staring him down, I turned back around and attempted to swim through the water. He dumped me back on the ground and walked towards me.
I was livid, yet afraid he would do something to me like the men at the bar.
I scrambled away, and his eyes softened.
"You're ok" he consoled, offering his hand to me.
Reluctantly, I took it.
I heard murmurs come from around, seeing people muttering to each other.
"Why'd he have to use his powers?"
"Why the hell would she try to leave?"
And the one that struck a chord in me most.
"She's hot, wouldn't mind tappin' that"
I let my hand slip out of his and ran through the crowd to this freakishly deadly looking climbing wall.
My heartbeat rapidly in my chest, seeing him and a few more guys cautiously approach me, like I was a bunny they didn't want to hop away.
I held up my bag in defense, looking up to see people on the wall look down at me before continuing climbing like this happened every day. They dodged the rocks and lava with grace and skill I didn't know a human could have.
"Calm down, what's your name," One of the guys asked me.
His voice was sweet and caring.
Lowering the bag slightly, I responded, "Kaehi Ramos"
"Well Kaehi, you're a demigod".
"That isn't real, that's mythology," I snorted.
Raven Head spoke up, "Explain how I controlled the water then".
"I-. What the fuck. This isn't right. My mom... My mom fucking died she wasn't some goddess. There's gotta be some mistake, I swear, if you let me go I promise I won't tell anyone".
I was shocked. So she wasn't dead. She's alive and well, immortal.

Practically falling out of my seat, I sat at the Hermes table, dubbed unclaimed. I got up with everyone else and watched them throw food into the fire. I tossed a roll and a good chunk of medium-rare steak into it. It smelled so good, not like burning food at all.
I managed to snag a seat more towards the middle at that time, eating quickly and trying to make sure I'm small so others are comfortable. I struggled to get out when a horn was blown, signaling the end of dinner. Kids rushed towards the fire, some already singing and playing instruments.
I was enjoying the song until I felt a hand grasp the back of my shirt, lifting me up. I met a burly girl sneering at me.
"Well newbie, time for your initiation".
A/N: Longest ever chapter I've written in general. Dammit, Clarise.
