The markets were always crowed. Reptiles mostly sell bugs, but there is some diversity. Some lizards and snakes sell pottery, wood carvings, and flowers. Old Jara appointed me the official shopper. I had to get his groceries. Most of the things were bugs, but some were grasses and herbs. Keka was with me. He was eating fried rats. They're a little to spicy for my taste, but Keka seemed to like them.
"Are you still doing Old Jara's chores?" Keka said.
"I told you I'm useful." I smirked.
"Hey guys." A female's voice said.
We turned around. A green iguana was there with a bag full of herbs and medicine. She was wearing a pink dress.
"If it isn't Ila. The towns best prepared lass." Keka said.
"Ha. I am pretty prepared but I need to be if I want to be a healer." Ila said.
"How many herbs do you have?" I asked.
"Toadstools, healers wart, mint, pine needles, water fruit." Ila said.
"That seems excessive." Keka said.
"I come prepared, just in case someone get's injured." Ila said.
I checked my list. I got the worms, cockroaches, and spiders. I still need mushrooms, a pot, and a cup of hornets. Ila and Keka followed me to the pottery store.
"Hola, friends." Mrs. Shanz said.
Mrs. Shanz is a turtle and she has some of the best pottery in all the town. Some pottery is highly decorated.
"Hi Mrs. Shanz. I'm here to pick up Old Jara's pot. He ordered it last Saturday." I said.
"Of course, Calamity. I bagged it already." Mrs. Shanz said handing me a pot wrapped in leaves.
"Thank you." I said giving her coins.
I continued the trail when I felt something slide next to me. I looked at the ground and it was a stick. Oh no. I hate these guys.
"If it isn't the magical lizard." A hila monster said leaping from the trees.
