A girl waited under the tree she always sat under, waiting for the boy she had fallen for and was a friend for quite a long time.

"Where is he?" She wondered but continued to wait. 10 minutes, no signs of him. She looked at her watch, saw different people walk around and all looked so happy.

"Did he forget?" She muttered under her breath.

For a long time, she waited and waited but no one came up to her running, like the times they met.

"Well, maybe tomorrow." She thought to herself and left.

Tomorrow, after tomorrow, after all that she never saw him there until one day.

"Ren!" She ran up to the boy who was surronded by a group of males. "Hey, where were you these past few days? I was waiting for you under the tree!" She smiled.

"Who are you?" He said blankly.

Her heart dropped in an instant. "Huh? What do you mean? It's me, your best friend."

"Like I'll have a friend like you, so innocent and gullible, you fell for it huh?" He smirked and the group of males laughed. The girl stumbled backwards and whimper. "This can't be true...."

"Now leave me alone. I don't want to see you." He turned away and walked away from the scene, leaving her on the same spot. Her legs gave in and she crashed onto the ground bending on her knees.

She couldn't believe it, she waited for him for so long, laughed and played with him for so long; and he doesn't take her feelings to account and leaves her there.

"I hate...." she couldn't bring herself to say she hated him, she really did love him but it was one sided, a painful one at that.

"Ren?" She called out for him, but he had left a long time ago.

The girl curled up near the tree, burying her tears into her sleeves and passer bys looked at her with confusion.

What did I do wrong?

Was I not enough?

Where did it go wrong?
