"Simon, what did you see in the woods?" Grandma asked.
By now they knew about the files I've saved and the woods. I was on the bed lying down holding ice to my bloody face.
"Bodies. Skinless and headless" I answer.
"My god Simon." Grandpa said.
"This is crazy. We need to throw these away." Grandma said.
"No don't." I say.
"Simon. This obsession of yours has to end here." Grandpa said.
"I can't let this go. There's a pattern. I just need to find it." I say.
I heard a knock on the door. I opened it up. It was Angela her face was frozen. Tommy was their he was sweating a lot.
"What's up?" I ask.
"Come on. There's something that you have to see." Angela said.
<---->
"Holly shit." I breath.
There were no human bodies, but there were bodies. Bears. Three skinned and headless. Flies were everywhere. Angela looked like she was gonna throw up. Her face was green. I felt sick also. First humans than bears all headless. What kind of mad man would do this?
"This is awful." Angela said.
"Who could've done this?" Tommy asked.
I looked around. There had to be some clue. I looked over my shoulder. I saw a footprint. It wasn't of a human. The toes were pointed. Not a wolf, fox, or any other animal I recognize.
"What kind of track is that?" Angela asked.
"I don't know." I say.
For some reason I had a suspicion we we're being watched. I thought I saw the trees sway like something was in the trees. Of course I could be wrong.
