Twenty-Nine

The forest is expanding nicely as every forest. I expand every forest. No village has stood in my way. The ones that do, don't have a long-lasting fight. The battle is over in minutes. I've taught certain villages a lesson. From the sky villages to the ocean villages. I won't stop now. Now comes the last Elven Sunfire camp. Pathetic. Yet they scorn over the ground. I won't have any more of that.

I walk toward the village. A shadow follows me. Queen Janai and Aunt Amaya are the first to react. They ran toward the entrance of the camp where I was walking.

"What is that thing?" Queen Janai asked.

Ouch. Thing? Really? I am not a thing. Amaya signed.

"State your business and who you are." Commander Gren said.

"Ouch that's hurtful. I would've thought you'd recognize me." I say.

Amaya's eyes widen. My voice hasn't changed. Everything else has changed about me. She signed again.

"Callum?" Gren translated.

I nod. Amaya signed again.

"Who? What happened to you?" Gren translated.

"Eh. I've just accepted my destiny. I've become who I've always meant to be." I answer.

"What are you doing here?" Queen Janai said.

"Avenging the earth, you carelessly walk on." I say drawing my staff.

I slam it into the ground. Vines erupted from the ground wrapping around tents. More grass grows from my staff. The earth rumbles. Amaya signed again.

"Callum. Stop!" Gren yelled.

I grab his neck. I hoist him in the air.

"No. Never again." I whisper in his ear.
