Four
Yeah, maybe following a glowing ball of fire in the sky isn't such a good idea. Yet, I have to. I feel it in my gut. I need to rediscover. I fly through the air with enchanted wings. I feel the wind ruffle my hair. The joys of flying were not as they once were. Usually, I had Rayla to accompany me.
I see shadows up ahead. I see a forest, but it's different. The trees were black light tar. The leaves were green but more of a swamp green. I land on the edge of the forest. The trees were a tangle like a web. There was moss that looked as white as bones. The air smells foul. I pinch my nose. The fire floated in. I guess I have no choice.
I drew a star shaped rune.
"Igious asra." I say.
A ball lights up made of pure light. I've been getting good at magic for the past couple months. I can now see the forest in the light. It looks cold and evil. I take a breath and I walk in. The roots were big like snakes. I can feel the cold gripping me. I walk through the tangle of trees. The moss loomed over like beards, not the cool white ones.
The ball floated toward a figure in the shadows, a figure with white horns. It let out a laugh. It sounded like a woman's voice.
"Who-who are you?" I say.
The figure turned. I see it had a skull face that looked to be from a deer. It was white as snow. It wore a black cloak. It held a wooden staff. It had fingers like claws that looked as sharp as swords.
"So, you are the great mage?" I asked.
