Two years she left. Two years I've waited for her to return. Two years I've practically lost my existence. The purpose Isra gave me, I can't accept. Nor do I believe it. I just can't wrap my head around it. I can't wrap my head around being a descendent of the creator of life. It doesn't make any sense.

I wonder if she'll ever come back. It's been so long. I've waited days, minutes, seconds. Sometimes I would even stare down to the ground at the highest tower and just wonder. I wonder if she's somewhere I cannot follow not until I jump. I wonder if she's dead. I wonder if I'll ever see her again.

"Hi Callum. You look nice." 

But then she came. She looks so different. My head's screaming. She looks as grown up as I have. Part of me wanted to run up and kiss her, but the majority wanted nothing to do with her.  How could she leave for two years? How could she leave me?

"You're back." I say.

"Yeah. I just wanted to see you. I've been so nervous all weak but now I'm even more nervous than ever." She said. 

"Uh-huh." I turn.

I couldn't face her.

"It's good to see you Bait." She winked at him.

"What are you doing here?" I ask.

"I just wanted to see you and to talk." She said.

"About? You know what, I'm tired." I say walking to the door.

Rayla grabs my arm. I turn with animosity showing. 

"Callum please. It's been two years. I want to talk to you."

 I let out a breath.

"Fine. What do you want to talk about?" I ask.

"Anything." She said.

"Why are you here? Did you find Viren. He's dead right?" I ask putting a cloth around a mirror.

"No. I didn't." Rayla sighed.

It was like a knife in my heart.

"So, you disappeared for two whole years for nothing?!" I yell. 

A thing comes out of her hood. It hissed at me. I jump. It had the tail of a raccoon and many legs.

"What is that thing?" I ask.

"A cuddle monkey, I adopted her." Rayla said.

I glare at her. I turn.

"I know my leavings hurt you." She said.

"You have no idea how much pain I've felt for the past two years." I hiss.

I walk off. I open the doors to my bedroom, and I slam them shut behind me.
