All I wanted was to protect him...but I ended up having to hurt him. And he's not the only one.

A year and 4 months had passed since Kingpin's collider brought Cindy Moon and several other Spider-People to another dimension. 

Cindy is currently sitting on a rooftop with headphones on listening to Eminem while still wearing her Silk suit. She had let her hair grow out until it reached her shoulders.

Cindy: (voiceover) I was never much of a people person. I mean, being locked up in a bunker for half your childhood tends to do that. Then Peter got me out.

Scene shows Peter Parker in his Spider-Man suit releasing Cindy from the bunker. Scene then changes to Peter and Cindy swinging around New York City.

Cindy: (voiceover) He was the only person that knew what I going through...Until he was gone.

Scene changes to Cindy (in her web-made suit) cradling Peter-Parker's dead body.

Cindy: (voiceover) I kinda shut myself off after that. Kept to myself, didn't make an effort to make friends. That is until I met him.

Scene changes to Cindy bumping into Wayne Russell on her way to Visions Academy after getting pulled into his dimension. Scene then changes to Wayne and Cindy hugging before she fell into the collider.

Cindy: (voiceover) I wish I could see him again...But I know that's impossible now.

Cindy then takes out her phone and opens a photo of herself and Wayne smiling. Cindy smiled as she stared at the photo, remembering the experiences she shared with Wayne when she was in his dimension. She shed a couple of tears when she remembered that she can't see him anymore, since there was no way either of them can go to alternate dimensions now that Kingpin's collider is destroyed.

Then the police scanner app went off.

Dispatch: All units, be advised. We have a 10-11 at the City National Bank. Suspect is Herman Schultz, also known as Shocker.

Cindy groans. She was not the biggest fan of Shocker. She removes the headphones and pulls up her mask.

Cindy: Time to go to work.

She jumps off the roof and swings towards the City National Bank. When she gets over there, she sees someone jump out of the front door with a couple of duffel bags. What Cindy did notice was that he looked different from the Shocker she knew, but she just chalked it up to a different costume.

Shocker looked to his left and saw Cindy perched on a lamppost.

Cindy: 안녕, Herman.

Shocker: Oh, you gotta be kidding me! Another one?!

He immediately uses his gauntlets to leap away with the duffel bags, while Cindy swung after him.

Cindy: You realize that I'm just gonna catch you again, right? We've done this dance at least a dozen times.

Shocker: I don't even know who you are!

Cindy: Oh, c'mon, Herman. You really--

Shocker: MY NAME IS NOT HERMAN, YOU STUPID-- A҉҉̦̣̤͔̟̩̋̿̏ͦ̈́̍͟͠R̴҉̷̨̖̮̉͑ͯ̑̋͟͠G̸҉̜̜̱̄ͩ͆͜͝͞H̴̶̵҉̨̡̛̼͎̫͓̒́̔ͩ͜͟͠͞͞!

Suddenly, he glitched and fell to the ground. Cindy saw this and landed nearby.

Cindy: Ohh, that explains the costume change. Somehow, this is uglier.

Shocker: SHUT UP!

He shoots a sonic wave at Cindy, but she dodges it. Shocker got up and leaped away as Cindy chased him again.

Cindy: I'm gonna take a shot in the dark and see if I get your name right, how's that sound?

Shocker: Christ, you're worse than the other kid!

Cindy: Here goes. Michael, Barry, Warren, Ben, Jonah, Chadwick, Chris, Luke, Nick...

Shocker: SHUT IT, FOR [BLEEP] SAKE!

Cindy: Woah, you kiss your mother with that mouth, Nick? I'll assume that's your name.

Shocker remained silent as he leaped from building to building while Cindy was close behind.

Once Cindy got close enough, she pulled herself towards Shocker and tackled him to the ground before getting on top of him.

Cindy: Gotcha. Now let's have a little chat.

Shocker: I'm not saying [BLEEP] to you!

He punched Cindy with the gauntlet, sending her back several feet, before getting up. He was about to leap away when a hexagon-shaped portal appeared in front of him.

Both Shocker and Cindy looked at the portal in confusion until a white figure flew out of the portal and tackled Shocker.

Cindy got a good look at the figure and recognized it.

Cindy: Gwen?

Gwen let go of Shocker and faced Cindy.

Gwen: Hey. You good?

Cindy: Yeah. How'd you...?

Gwen: We'll talk about that after we deal with him, okay?

Cindy: Fair enough.

The two girls turned to face Shocker, who was slowly getting up and saw them.

Shocker: (groans) Oh, you gotta bo [BLEEP] with me right now!

He charged up his gauntlets and fired sonic waves at Cindy and Gwen, who dodged him and swung around.

Cindy: (to Gwen) You think you can explain what's this guy doing here? I know he's not my Shocker.

Gwen: Kingpin's collider.

Cindy dodged a sonic shot from Shocker.

Cindy: What? I thought Wayne and Miles shut it down after we left.

Gwen threw a large piece of rubble at Shocker, but he destroyed it with a sonic shot before it hit him.

Gwen: They did. But it left a hole in the fabric of space-time big enough for guys like Shocker over here to get shot into the wrong dimension.

Shocker: What the hell are you talking about?!

Gwen: None of your business!
Cindy: Girl talk! Stay out of it!

Cindy then pulled herself towards Shocker and threw a punch at his face, causing his mask to fly off, revealing his face.

Cindy: Yep, you look like a Nick.

Shocker growls before sending a sonic shot toward Cindy, which hit her square in the chest. She flew into a wall and landed on the ground.

Cindy: Ow.

Gwen attempted to web Shocker's gauntlets, but he fired a sonic shot at her, hitting her in the chest. Gwen was sent flying several feet.

Shocker: Stay down if you know what's good for you.

Gwen and Cindy looked at each other, then at Shocker.

Gwen & Cindy: Nah.

They both shot a web at Shocker and pulled themselves at him. They both hit him in the head at the same time, disorienting him. Using this to their advantage, Gwen and Cindy cover the gauntlets with their web with their gauntlets before Cindy knocked him out with a kick across the jaw.

Both girls panted as they tried to catch their breaths. Cindy approached Shocker's unconscious body and wrapped him up in a web cocoon before picking him up and swinging to a nearby rooftop, with Gwen following suit.

Once they landed, Cindy put Shocker on the ground and sat down on a vent as she lowered her mask. Gwen checked a device on her left wrist before removing her mask as well, revealing her face. Her hair was longer as well, but she kept the right side shaven and the tips of her hair were dip-dyed pink.

Gwen: You okay, Cindy?

Cindy: Yeah. Just got the wind knocked out of me. You?

Gwen: I'm good.

Cindy: (nods) Good.

She got up and walked toward Gwen before wrapping her arms around her in a tight hug, an act that Gwen immediately reciprocated.

Cindy: It's good to see you, Gwen.

Gwen: You too, Cindy.

They both separated and smiled.

Cindy: So, how'd you get here?

Gwen lifted her left arm, showing Cindy a futuristic-looking watch on her wrist.

Gwen: With this.

Cindy: Whoa.

Gwen: And it keeps me from glitching, so there's that.

Cindy: (smiles) That's great. Did you make that?

Gwen: No. It was Miguel.

She quickly explained that Miguel O'Hara, the Spider-Man from Earth-928, is the leader of an elite task force known as the Spider Society consisting of several Spider-People from across the multiverse. This task force is designed to ensure the safety of the multiverse and ensure that anomalies, or individuals that were displaced across the multiverse, return to their respective dimensions.

Cindy: That's cool. How long have you been in this task force?

Gwen: A few months, give or take.

Cindy nods in response. She was about to ask Gwen another question, but was interrupted when another portal appeared on the rooftop they were on as a man in a dark-blue-and-red suit appeared.

Gwen: Miguel, hey.

Miguel glances at the unconscious Shocker, then looks at Gwen.

Miguel: I assume there are no more anomalies here?

Gwen: Nope. All good here.

Miguel: Good.

Cindy: (approaches Miguel) Hey, man. I'm--

Miguel: Cindy Moon. I know who you are.

Cindy: Okay, weird. I have heard about you from Gwen. I know about your task force.

Miguel glares at Gwen for a split second before picking up Shocker and slinging him over his shoulder

Cindy: I want in.

Miguel: No.

Cindy: Listen, you wouldn't be carrying Shocker around right now if I hadn't dealt with him.

Miguel: I'm not discussing this.

Cindy: And I'm not asking.

Both Miguel and Cindy stared each other down until Gwen intervened.

Gwen: Okay, let's just calm down, okay? (turns to Miguel) Look, she can be a good asset to the team...

Cindy gave Gwen an offended look as Gwen spoke to Miguel.

Gwen: I can vouch for her. I'll take full responsibility.

Miguel stayed silent as he looked between Gwen and Cindy. After a few seconds, Miguel sighed as he pulled something out of his suit and tossed it to Cindy.

Miguel: Fine.

Cindy caught the device, which formed into a watch just like the one Miguel and Gwen had.

Miguel: (to Gwen) Like you said: You're responsible for her actions.

Gwen: Okay.

Miguel turned around and walked through the portal with Shocker.

Cindy: (to Gwen) Thanks Gwen.

Gwen: (smiles) Don't mention it.

She turns around and walks towards the portal.

Gwen: Come on, Cin. You're gonna love it.

Cindy follows Gwen as the two walk through the portal before it closes.
