ʟᴀᴜɢʜᴇᴅ ᴏɴ ᴛʜᴇ ꜱᴄʜᴏᴏʟʏᴀʀᴅ ᴀꜱ ꜱᴏᴏɴ ᴀꜱ ɪ ᴛʀɪᴘᴘᴇᴅ ᴜᴘ

So well July was a totally messed up month but let's all forget that and move on. It's a new month now, August. Recently me and my mom along with my grandparents and great-grandparents decided to launch a one week animal welfare campaign in diagon alley.

The one common trait among all my family members is humbleness and care towards animals and equality and balance among nature and humans. We valued nature more than anything else and all of us had a deep connection with it for some reason.

We got up at 5:00a.m. and started from home and went to the free plot in diagon alley and set up the camp. It was quite easy since it was with magic. Me and Lorcan just stood and watched most of the work though cause we were kids apparently.

By 6:00 a.m. we had set up the camp and was ready to receive some customers. Two-three hours had passed and no one had come but the streets were getting busier and busier as time passed by. As I'm not a morning person I was still half-asleep.

Lorcan then was sent to wear a weird looking mascot of a niffler and i was forced to wear a mascot of a bowtruckle and me and him were screaming across the streets and calling people. I feel bad for people who do this as their full time or part-time job.

Newt Scamander the great had finally arrived at 10:00 am with his wife and that had actually brought in a few customers. I don't understand how this guy's leg still function at like 130 years. Me and Lorcan were still in-charge of mascots as we really didn't have so much customers that we needed more helping hands.

It went dull for the first two days but later it really caught up people came in for a free consult for their pets and it was fun. I was able to pat so much cats and dogs and really bond with them, my favourite till now was definitely 'Ink', he was a black German Shepard and he was too cute to exist. He co-operated so well and even licked me! He was such a sweet heart.

Then in day 5,

(dramatic pause)

It was just another day I was half asleep in my bowtruckle costume and scaring a few people away with my very weird threatening voice of "Come in". It was like around 10 O'clock. I got hungry so I asked my grandma for a break. "Sure" she said. Lorcan had already gone to eat an hour ago and he still hasn't returned what a good way for escaping from wearing this costume.

Good for him. Whenever I ask for breaks my parents play the guilty card of 'You're elder, you're supposed to be a role model not only for your brother but the other kids who pass by, to enhance volunteering'. I mean why should I care about them but I just can't deny my grandmother.

I was gonna leave when some brunette girl came to me and was like, "Can you do a check up for my Choco" she said handing me a brown Pomeranian. Pomeranians are overrated dog breeds, never was much of a fan. But if my mom found out I turned away a customer cause I wanted a break and I didn't like Pomeranians, high chances I'll be compost.

I took the dog and started a check up. "You go to Hogwarts?" She asked. Oh no a talky talky girl. "Hello??" She said to make her presence to me more clear. "Yes" I said blandly. "What year? Which house?" She asked me smiling. "Your dog's fine just feed her well but its grooming is terrible so get a good clean-up and trim" I said dodging her question. "You still haven't answered me" she said.

Then behind her I saw the last person I wanted to see in a bow truckle costume Lily Potter and Hugo Weasley walking straight towards me. NAHHH... I CAN'T GET BULLIED MY MY ROOMIES! HUGO WILL TELL EVERYONE ABOUT ME IN A BOWTRUCKLE COSTUME!

I dived under the table. That girl said, "Why are you hiding under the table?"

CAN'T SHE JUST SHUT UP??

Then I saw Lily and Hugo come towards the girl and Lily said, "Jennie! Hey!" She said. "Oh hi!" She said back. "Cute dog" Lily said. "Oh I came for a free consultation. I don't know why the volunteer is hiding under the table for though I think he's shy" she said. SHE JUST BUSTED ME! MY LIFE WAS OVER! I LEFT ALL THE SURGICAL KNIFE IN THE OTHER COUNTER NOW I CAN'T KILL MYSELF!!

I was panicking and was internally dying when I heard a voice behind me, "AWW.. Scamander this costume really suits you, you look sooo cute and you'll look better once Val sees this" Lily said and took a picture of me and started laughing like an absolutely crazy person. She was rolling on the ground and laughing how unhygienic.

"You knew I was here" I said disoriented. "We saw Lorcan on the way and he told us we might catch you in a bowtruckle costume" Hugo said laughing squatting down with Lily. I slowly came out of my burrow (from under the table).

"You're our year?" Jennie asked me. "Yeah, he's just quite shy you see" Lily said and I tried to snatch the camera to get rid of my photo. "Nah NO WAY I'M GIVING THIS" she said and resisted. "Ok see you guys around" he said and then she turned to me and said, "See you at Hogwarts" and she left. I hope I don't see you at Hogwarts, hope you die on your way home!

"Potter please pity my soul" I said. "No thank you sir" she said laughing. "How'd you get yourself fixed up to your original self" I asked curiously. She was back from being a jerk to being annoying.

"Rose told me it was a puberty thing you know mood swings and confusion and stuff, I guess I'm over it now. Also, I tried being like you, thinking I can defeat you in every single way if I act sassy like you but It wasn't helping so I'm back to myself" Lily said having her smile plastered all over her face.

"For the first time and last time in my life I'm happy for you, I thought you were Bi-polar or something" I said planning how to make her give me the photo. "Can we get milkshakes" Hugo said and continued "Lorcan is waiting for us" he said impatiently.

We eventually started walking slowly towards leaky cauldron as I took out my mascot outfit. "Where are your parents?" I asked. "Well they are buying the books for the year" Hugo said. "The list came? It's been a while since I checked the mail" I said. "It came last week itself, even the Hogsmeade form" Hugo said. "Oh, I should probably get the list and buy all the necessities by tomorrow" I said.

"Lysander, do you think I should print a hundred copies of this and paste it all over your dorm as a welcome present" she asked.

"What do you want in return for the photo to not leak" I asked her. "Well, I want to make you suffer" she said smiling. If I was a sadistic psychopath she was a smiley psychopath. "Should I do a walk on lego bricks all over my room?" I asked. "What's lego?" Lily asked. Oh gosh what can I do with these wizardy kids.

"I'll fail in an exam" I said. "Well if your gonna take divination as your elective then you'll automatically get one don't worry" Lily said thinking something. Then we reached leaky cauldron and Lorcan was already there with milkshakes. "You got me chocolate right?" I asked. "You get your priorities straight Ly. Yeah I got chocolate" he said and I sat down and chugged down the milkshake it was soooooooooo gooooooddddddd.....

"I got an awesome pic of Lysander" Lily said flexing my awful photo. "DUDE... VAL AND JARED HAS TO SEE IT GIVE ME A COPY!!!!" Lorcan said excited. "No I'm planning another surprise" Lily said smiling. "What is it?" Lorcan asked. "You'll see at Hogwarts" she said. "So I don't have a chance to reclaim the rights of that photo?" I asked. "Why do you speak so professionally" Hugo asked.

"I know right?" Lorcan said and continued "Using 'right' and 'claim' makes it sound like some statement in court".

"Ok back to the point" Lily said taking the central attention. She had placed the camera on the table it was my chance. My hand went for it but she realised and jumped to grab it. We ended up cat fighting with each other.

"GIVE ME" I harassed her. "NO" she said and grabbed the camera. "Don't play dirty" she said.

"Anyways I might be coming to your house next week"

I stood in terror and I asked her "WHY?!" she squinted her eyebrows and knocked my head and said "Don't be rude you're supposed to welcome me" she said. "Yeah Lysander be a good boy" Lorcan said. My state has gone so bad that Lorcan is treating me like a dog.

"Who was that girl Potter?" I asked Lily. "Oh you mean Jennie? She's a Hufflepuff in our year she's quite clingy but better than most of the girls in our year" she said and Lily widened her eyes and asked me, "Do you like her?" she asked seriously. Lorcan chocked on his milkshake.

"NO, she's just so creepy." I said. She wouldn't leave me until I told her my name and literally told me she wants to see me in Hogwarts she definitely likes me but I'm just like totally creeped out. I don't want this year to be drama year.

"She probably likes you" Lily said bored. "I used to like you too you know but I'm over it" she said. "You're very weird, you're not the Lily in 2nd year" I said. "The old Lily can't come to the phone right now, oh why, cause she's dead" Lily said. MY MIND WAS BLOWN!

THAT WAS A TAYLOR SWIFT LINE. "How'd you know that line" I asked her calming myself down. "Oh, I have probably memorised that blonde lady's songs by now. Michelle does a whole concert every night and its ok, but sometimes just unpleasant" she said.

My non existent love for Lily just went up.

"Gosh you'd you both just stop it, I'm tired" Lorcan said. "Lily when are you coming?" Lorcan asked. "Well maybe Tuesday, my parents are going out and James is always out these days. Albus is visiting Malfoy" she said.

"I'll make you some cake" Lorcan said. "You can cook?" Lily asked. "No, I'm just gonna make Lysander do it and take all credits its not like he cares, do you Ly?" he asked. "I don't" I said. "Then make strawberry shortcake" Lily said all excited.

"The photo" I started. "I'm not giving" she said when I sharply cut her off and said "Then no cake" I said. "Fine I don't care" Lily said.

"YOU TWO" my grandpa came in grumpily.

"Oh shit we're dead, bye guys" Lorcan said. We both grabbed our costumes and ran to the booth wearing our mascots on the way ruuning. Well rest of the day went as usual, boring and normal.
