Dungeon

The only ones who were moving were them, yet they did not attract any attention because the mercenaries had been accustomed to the white clothes puppet and their strange behavior and thought nothing of it.

They went past the mercenaries, and the other white clothes puppets and it seems that even though LuLing had fainted, JinGe had noticed that the puppets were still in his control as they stood at their position, standing still. Each and every puppet was not released from his spell.

"It seems that once that boy woke up. We will have him undo the spell," thought JinGe. 'The black and forbidden arts of manipulation', it was too complex for JinGe or HanFeng to dispel or else they would have released the poor people from the start. They could not estimate the extent of the spell and the core of the spell. If they removed it forcefully, the people might not regain their self and forever lost their minds.

"Dungeon," thought JinGe. They had finally arrived at the location where the underground dungeon was located. JinGe finally met ZhiMei who was at the gate of it.

She approached the woman and ZhiMei said to her, "It seems that DaJie was successful. The white clothes have completely stopped moving. We have opened the gate, but we need to move quickly as we have observed here. The red robe young man and the big burly man will be back in roughly in an hour and a half."

When ZhiMei and the others arrived, JunYi and FangXiong were telling the white clothes puppet to guard the dungeon and they left the grounds. When she was passing them by, the woman overhead their conversation, "Let's have a drink. I want some wine to warm up my gut. Let's head into town and then grab the people and the wine and come back here."

The two of them were tasked to transport the prisoners that YongSan had caught and placed temporarily at the government office to the camp, to be used by the Elder. Seeing that the task and FangXiong's request was aligned, and it would satisfy him and the Elder, JunYi nodded.

They changed into wolves and leaped out from the barrier and headed to XinYe. It was an amazing view as the two people ran and leaped from the ground onto a nearby roof and transformed into such majestic beast as they jumped into the air, with one which was slightly smaller but more intimidating with its red fur compared to the bigger white wolf.

Luckily there was the shawl that had blocked ZhiMei and the other bandits' fearful expression and admiring gaze.

"Let's hurry then," said JinGe who knew that although it would take far longer than an hour and a half to get from the camp to XinYe and back, however these men are no ordinary people, she had observed them and sometimes, they would come back first, leaving the transportation to the white puppets.

Ah Zhong, ZhiMei and JinGe all went down into the dungeon. Most of the cells were empty as they went lower down. "They must have killed most of them," thought JinGe as she remembered the words spoken by XuJi.

They had to reach the lowest floor to find the place where her brother and father were being held at; each in a cell of their own, on the same floor, where the cells were facing each other.

ZhiMei unlocked the door to her brother's cell while JinGe stood beside her watching nervously.

The cells were wet and dark, with minimum light where a small candle was flickering at the corner; it was only when she entered her brother's cell which she saw the condition he is in. It was bad; he seems to have been beaten badly.

When she touched him, he ached yet he was unable to move, and had to endure, his lips tightly pursed together.

It pained her so much to see the state he is in right now. She looked closer at him and tried to call him, but he was out cold.

"He must have been fed with the same thing as the others prisoners," thought JinGe as she supported the man out from the cell with Ah Zhong. It seems that her father that not eaten that day and was spared from the poison.

"Who are you?" her father asked when she saw JinGe bringing YuWei out from the cell as he himself was released from his own cell.

JinGe was eager to tell her father about her identity but just like her brother, time is needed to persuade him to believe her and right now, time is limited and they need to do everything quickly, thus she only said to him, "We are on your side" and hurriedly bought them out.

The small group walked out from the prison and back above ground.

"Ah Zhong bring everyone back to the hideout. We will stay here."

However, similar to HanFeng the man refused to follow her instructions.

"No, the boss had told me to stay by your side," replied Ah Zhong, who stood his ground.

JinGe knew how stubborn he is and yielded, "ZhiMei you will bring the others back on the horses that we took to come here."

ZhiMei nodded and with another two bandits, took YuWei and General Sun away.

"DanDan you will wait here and then leave with JunYi and FangXiong."

"DaJie, where are you going?" asked ZhiMei.

"I will go the banquet just in case if anything were to happen there. I would be able to help. Anyways the Elder is there too. I gotta keep an eye on him," said JinGe.

"DaJie, take care," said ZhiMei to JinGe.

She nodded and then said to all of them, "Give me all of your swords. I will enchant them. Just in case you were to fight. You would not lose out to them. It will give you guys a fighting chance."

After coating everyone's sword, JinGe changed into a wolf and carried Ah Zhong on her back and ran across the forest to reach XinYe.

At least YuWei is saved now. ZuoMeng will be hiatus again until further notice. I am still editing it and it's taking time as I am doing everything on my own.
