The circus spread out before him. He heard the voice of Mr. Haley introduce the Flying Graysons. His mom smiled down at him, "Are you ready to fly my little Robin." He nodded, a big smile plastered on his face.

He watched as his parents flew and the crowd cheered. He looked into the crowd and made eye contact with Mr. Wayne and they smiled at each other. Neither having a clue what was about to happen.

Then it was his turn to jump into his mother's welcoming arms like he had done a million times before. That's when he heard the crack. He looked up and saw the rope frayed. He looked back to his parents, they realized what was about to happen too.

"Dic-" his mom yelled. "Mamai! Tatai!" He screamed and watched in horror as they fell. Everyone watched wide eyed as they fell. And then the crack of their bodies hitting the ground. Chaos broke out throughout the whole circus.

Dick was horrified, he cried on the platform. "Well if it isn't the little pest," he turned around to see Tony Zucco behind him. Dick wanted so badly to scream, to make any sound but couldn't. "Nothing personal kid, you were just supposed to die with your parents. But it's ok, cause I can fix that." Tears came out of his eyes faster at that. He didn't want to die. Then Tony Zucco pushed him of from the trapeze.

He was falling for what felt like forever. Did his parents feel this way when they fell? Would he see them again? What would it be like to die? Then he hit the ground.

And he woke up.
