Dick's POV

I ran over to the zeta tube. I haven't see Barbs for a few days and this was her first time in the mountain. I couldn't wait for the team to meet her. Just the sight of Barbs in her batgirl costume almost made me forget about Tony Zucco and all my problems.. almost.

The rest of the team caught up. "Who is this?" Kaldur asked. "Batgirl." Said Wally and Artemis at the same time. "Awe Wallace long time no see." Barb said. "If you ask me it wasn't long enough." He muttered. Wally and Barbara didn't really hit it off the first time they met. Or the second... or any of the other 20 times after that but I was still determined to make them like each other.

"Bat... girl?" Conner asked. "Why have we never heard of you?" Megan asked. "I only operate in Gotham. Someone has the watch the city while the dynamic duo are off playing with the league." Said Barbara crossing her arms.

She wasn't a big fan of the Young Justice team. I don't think it because she thinks it's a bad idea or because she actually doesn't like the people on the team. She's just jealous cause I have started spending more and more time with the team and not with her.

"Batgirl and Kaldur will lead the mission. Batgirl knows Gotham just as good as Bats himself." I told the team. "Robin, you really not going to come?" I shot Barbara a look. She was the only one that knew why I couldn't go.

"Yes, but don't worry you have Batgirl. And she will be on her best behavior." I said looking at her. The last time her and Wally met I left to go get us cookies and I found Wally hanging from the ceiling upside down.

"Yeah what ever." She Said, "You guys go get ready for the mission were leaving at sun set." She said in a commanding voice then grabbed my arm. "We need to talk." She told me.

I lead her back to my room. As soon as the door closed Barbara threw her arms around me, trapping me in a hug. "How are you holding up Dick?" I felt all the walls I had built up to hide how I felt from the from the team collapse. And tears filled my eyes.

"I don't know Barbs I try so hard to put that night behind me. And now that he's out everything is just resurfacing." She hugged me tighter.

"Don't worry D, you won't have to see him. Me and the team will take care of this. You just stay here and relax, he'll be back behind bars where he belongs in no time. Ok?" I nodded. "I should go, but D of you need anything just ask. I'm here for you." I had to really fight back tears at that. "Ok." I said.

She started to walk out. "I'll be back tonight after we put him away." She said and then with a swoosh of her cape she was gone. I finally let the tears out. I don't know what I would do if Zucco killed someone before they put him away. I thought of my parents. I saw them falling, heard them screaming. I heard a knock at the door and I shook the memory away. The team could take care of this.

I opened the door. It was Wally and Artemis. "Are you sure you don't want to go on the mission Rob." Artemis asked me. I nodded not trusting my voice if I tried to speak. "West! Artemis, get here now or we are leaving without you." Barbara shout.

"We will talk about this when we get back." Wally said. Then him and Artemis took off. I climbed in bed. If I take a nap I'll wake up and all of this will be over. I though closing my eyes.

It's a short chapter but I really just need to post something for this story. I have been so busy trying to finish my other story that I completely forgot I had to post for this one too. But I finished the other book and the next chapter for this book will be coming out soon. So until the next time I update.
