Sorry for this chapter I couldn't think of anything for Zora to do

Zora POV

Today was Halloween as I was at the Banks house. Carlton and I walked downstairs and saw Will reading a magazine

"Asking out magazines, Will? I don't know. Even paper products have some standards." Carlton said

"What's that, Jody? Oh. Oh, no. That's as tall as he'll ever be." Will said

"Hilary, you know I don't like wearing costumes." Mr. Banks said as Hilary, Mr. Banks, Mrs. Banks, and Ashley walked into the living room

"But, dad, I'm coming to Hilary's party as a ballerina." Ashley told him

"Well, that's the one thing I wanted to come as. And it's taken? Tsk! So sorry." He said sarcastically

"Please, daddy, I want my Halloween party to turn out really good. Couldn't you wear like a very tailored clown suit or something?" Hilary asked

"Come on, Uncle Phil, man, you just throw a hairpiece on and come as Mr. T." Will said

"Yeah, dad. We're all wearing costumes." Carlton told him

"I have some bad news for both of you.
You're not invited." Hilary told Will and Carlton

"Why not?" Will asked

"Every time I have a party, you spend all night trying to hit on my girlfriends." Hilary told them

"Wait a minute, Hilary. Everyone in the family is invited. Besides, I'm sure Carlton.and Will have dates." Mrs. Banks said

"Oh, yeah, yeah, of course." They both said

"Huh! Well, I guess all things are possible." I said

"We better get going. I need to get my costume and the mall closes in eight hours." Hilary said grabbing Ashley's hand

"Well, we all need costumes. Let's go.
Won't this be fun?" Mrs. Banks said

"No." Mr. Banks said

"Come on, Philip. Get in the Halloween spirit." She said

"Boo." He said as they left the living room

"So are you coming tonight Zora" Hilary asked me

"I don't know parties aren't really my scene" I told her

"But you have to come. Somebody has to keep those two in check" she said pointing to Will and Carlton

"I'll think about it" I said as she walked out the living room

"So, what's that, Carlton? Uh..You do not have a date for tonight." Will said

"Like you do? Who are you taking? Uh, page 42?" Carlton asked picking up the magazine

"Carlton, all I have to do is walk in a mall and I get any girl I want. It's the law of nature. It's called the survival
of the handsomest." Will told him

"Will, I don't even have to step into the mall. Girls surround me in the parking lot and rip the doors off my car." Carlton told him

"Things sre about to get stupid real quick" I mumbled

"Would you like to put your money where your mouth is?" Will asked

"Ah, a betting man." Carlton said

"There it is" I mumbled

"I bet you that I get a date.....and you don't." Will told him

"This is a sucker bet, Will. Within an hour, I'll have a gorgeous date and a great Halloween costume." Carlton told him

"You better buy the mask first" Will told him

This bet is stupid. If one of them asked me. I would've said yes. But this will be very entertaining

We made it to the Sherman Oaks Fashion Square when a girl walked past us

"Yo, yo, yo, baby. Ooh! How about some fries to go with that shake?" Will asked

"Sorry, I'm in no fat head diet." The girl said as she walked away as another girl walked pasted

"Xcuse me, gurl, would you like to do the limbo under a coconut tree?" Will asked in a Jamaican accent as Mr. Banks grabbed his shirt

"Will, do you mind railing in your tongue for one moment? Now, before we all go our separate ways I think it's right for me to determine where and when we all are gonna meet." He told him

"Now I think 5 o'clock should be ample time for all of us to shop for costumes." Mr. Banks told us

"We'll meet back at the car at 5 o'clock sharp." Mrs. Banks told us as we kissed her cheek and Will, Carlton, and I headed our separate ways as we walked to the food court

"Alright, Will. Let the great pick-up contest begin." Carlton said

"Carlton, this is gonna be about as much of a contest as Mike Tyson versus Fred Savage." Will said as we sat doen

"Welcome to Croissants Aplenty. I'm Cindy, your waitress." Cindy told us

"Yo, what's up, Cindy? Uh, I'm Will. That's Zora. And this is Carlton, our geek." Will said

"Zora, we need a woman's point of view. Which one of us do you find more attractive?" Carlton asked as they smiled at me as I gave them a blank stare

"May I take your order?" Cindy asked us

"I'll have the goat cheese and the prosciutto croissant." Carlton told her

"I'll have a peanut butter croissant and a bagel" I told her

"Y'all got any ribs?" Will asked as she rolled her eyes and walked away

"Okay, back to the bet. A date is defined as a female who arrives at the party by midnight tonight." Carlton asked

"Female. We're not animals" I told them. I hate when guys call women females like we're some type of strange species

"Uh, and let me clarify something for you, Carlton she has to be a human being. I saw you looking in

the pet store." Will told him

After a while Will and Carlton left. I just spent most of my time walking around the mall just looking around and I brought two pairs of jeans and a top

I saw Will sitting down at Croissants Aplenty as I ordered him a croissant and sat next to him

"Welcome back to Croissants Aplenty." Cindy told him

"I didn't order.. Urgh, what kind of a croissant is that?" Will asked

"It's peanut butter. And I paid for it." I told him sitting next to him

"Looks like it's been on the floor." He told me

"You look a little down. What? Did you lose the contest to your Carlton?" I asked

"Oh, yeah. Who'd have guessed it? I mean, especially in a place this well lit." He told me

"Well, you know, strange things happen on Halloween." I told him

"Uh, don't remind me, I got to go to that party tonight on the solo tip." He told me

"Oh, look, don't feel too bad. There's bound to be at least one other guy there without a date." I told him

"Yeah. You know, Zee, you're probably right." He told me hugging me as I patted his back in comfort

After we got from the mall. I was at home sweeping my room when my grandfather came in

"Are you going to the halloween party" He asked me

"I don't know parties aren't my scene" I told him

"Well I think you should go" he told me as I sat down on my bed

"Even if I did want to go I don't have a costume" I told him

"Well now you do" he told me as he gave me a box as I opened it and saw a blue ball gown

"Where did you get a ball gown" I asked 

"Don't change the subject" he told me as I put my hands up in defense

"Well I still don't have heels" I told him as he gave me another box and I opened it and saw shoes

"Seriously where is all this stuff coming from" I asked him

"Go" he told me pointing to my bathroom

"Wait are you my fairy grandfather" I asked

"Go" he repeated

"Oh and be back at midnight" he told me

"Why is my dress gonna turn to rags" I asked as I started laughing but he didn't

"I'll go get ready" I said walking to my bathroom

I walked into the house as Geoffrey escorted me to the living room

"Ladies and gentlemen. Cinderella." Geoffrey announced

"Hello. Is my prince here?" I asked pretending to be in character as Will ran up to me

"Hello, Will." I told him

"Do I know you?" He asked me as I rolled my eyes

"Give a guy your last peanut-butter croissant he forgets you in a minute." I said

"Zee? Is that you?" He asked as I smiled and nodded

"That's right." I told him

"Yo, baby, that bonet was doing nothing for you." He told me as I playfully glared at him

"Will, can I be your date tonight?" I asked him

"Baby, forget tonight. Let's block out the next 50 years." He said as I laughed at him

"Why did you decide to come?" He asked me

"Well, I thought this was gonna be stupid but, I felt bad for you.  Well, I guess I'm a sucker for a sad puppy." I told him as he whimpered

"This doesn't affect our bet, Will. I still found a date first." Carlton told him

"Stop it! Let go of me, you creep!" A woman yelled as we turned around to see the police officer had Carlton's date

"Eugene, what are you doing? I thought our agreement was you could come to my party but you couldn't falsely arrest anybody." Hilary said

"This isn't a false arrest. This is the shoplifter I mistook you for. This girl's a kleptomaniac." Officer Eugene said as he dumped out a bag

"My silverware." Mrs. Banks said

"That's my watch." Mr. Banks said

"My date." Carlton cried

"Let this be a lesson to all of you. You don't have to break the law to have a happy Halloween. Goodnight, now." The officer said as he walked out with the woman

"Well that was an unexpected twist" I mumbled as classical music started playing

"Will, may I have this dance?" I asked getting into character

"Yo, baby. Your prince is in effect." He told me as I giggled as we started dancing

"Why did you decide to come" Will asked me as I placed my hands on his shoulders and he placed his hands on my lower back

"Well I know you didn't have a date and I know you and Carlton had this little bet going on. So I decided to be a good friend" I told him as he dipped me

"Where'd you get this fly costume at?" He asked me

"Well, I was sweeping up, and my grandfather came in.....and he..Well, it's a long story." I told him as the clock struck 12

"Oh, no. I didn't know it was so late. I've got to go." I told him letting go of his hands as I picked up my dress and started speed walking

"Yo, yo, Zora, wait!" He yelled 

"I'm sorry, Will." I told him as I started running

I was running when I felt my shoe come off. How did Cinderella do it?

I ran back into tje house and saw Will holding my shoe as I took it

"Oh, my God. I can't believe I dropped my shoe. Maybe I should try some of those insole thingies." I said as I put my shoe back on

"See you tomorrow" I told Will patting his cheek as I picked up my dress and ran out the house
