I was in the kitchen with Ashley and Carlton as I was helping Ashley with her math homework and Geoffrey was cleaning

She showed me her work as I shook my head as she erased the problem as Geoffrey vacuumed up the eraser pieces

She showed me her problem again as I shook my head and she erased it as Geoffrey vacuumed again

"A hundred and sixty-three? Oh, this whole page is wrong." Ashley said as she was about to erase but Geoffrey snatched her pencil

"Geoffrey." Ashley yelled

"I'm sorry, Miss Ashley. But I'm trying to keep
this place tidy. Lord Fowler and his daughter
Lady Penelope will be here at any moment." He told her

"Well, why are so you nervous about it?" I asked him

"Lord Fowler gave me my first job as a full-fledged butler. And he's very important men in Britain." He explained

"Oh. Well, I wouldn't want to embarrass you.
British people have really good manners." Ashley said

"Ashley, Zora, I used to be intimidated by the British. I thought they were superior in taste
style, and breeding. And then I saw Benny Hill." Carlton told us

"Master Carlton. First of all, I Like Benny Hill.
Secondly, while Lord Fowler is here, I must ask you to keep wisecracks like that to yourself. During his stay, I want all of you children to maintain an air of quiet dignity." He told us as Will came in singing with a dreadlock wig on

Will came behind me amd wrapped his arms around me pulling me back into his chest as I laughed at his silliness as Carlton looked up at us

"Geoffrey,mon. Do da limbo with me." Will said in a Jamaican Accent as he held up a broom stick

Geoffrey ripped his wig off and put the broom stick down

"This is precisely what cannot happen when Lord Fowler arrives." Geoffrey said

"Yo, G. What's my name? The prince, right?
I know how to deal with royalty. Don't worry. I'll be at the peak of Schweppervescence.
Hey, check it out. You be the English dude." Will told him

"Very well. Please to meet you, William." Geoffrey said holding his hand out

"And I am honored to meet you, Lord Fowler." He said as Will shook his hand but buzzed him in the process

That night my grandfather had come over as we all were having tea

Carlton was behind me with his hands wrapped around me as I leaned into his embrace

"Lady Penelope. Wow. It must be great being a lady. I mean, spending all your time shopping going to lunch with friends and just sitting around being waited on hand and foot. I wonder what that would be like." Hilary said as we all looked at her she just described herself

"One can only imagine." Geoffrey said

"Actually, I go to a small convent school and the nuns work us hard. We scrub the floors
and cook the meals. And on the weekends,
we do all the laundry." Lady Penelope told us

"Ew. What a gyp." Hilary said

"Well, we're looking forward to taking you to dinner tonight." Mrs. Banks said

"Oh, splendid. Dinner will be a perfect time for me to bring you all up to date on the new bills pending before Parliament. We've made some fascinating strides in maritime legislation. I'll go into greater details
at dinner." Lord Fowler told us as we all looked around

"Is tonight a school night?" I asked my grandfather as Carlton leaned down to my ear

"No. I already thought of that." He whispered to me

"Mr. and Mrs. Banks, I hope I'm not being terribly rude but I was really counting on
seeing the opera tonight." Lady Penelope said

"Oh, but, my dear, I don't want you going out alone in a strange city. Um, you'll need an escort." Lord Fowler said

"An escort. You mean a responsible escort.
A young man who could take Lady Penelope out tonight and return her home safe and sound. The same type of young man who could be trusted to drive to a Ziggy Marley
concert in Nevada." Will said as he walked behind Mr. Banks and rubbed his shoulders

"Well, I suppose so." Lord Fowler said

"Would you really take me, Will?" Lady Penelope asked

"Oh, absolutely. If it's alright with Uncle Phil." Will said

"Okay, Will. You may take Lady Penelope to the opera." Mr. Banks told him

"Opera? I thought she said "Oprah." Will said

I finished getting ready for tonight as I was looking in the mirror when Carlton walked behind me

"You look great. Well I mean you always look great but yeah you look great" he rambled as I smiled

"I understand what you mean" I told him cutting him off when I saw he didn't have on his tie

"You need me to tie your tie don't you" I asked laughing as he smiled and nodded

"Yes" he told me holding out his tie as I giggled and began tying it

"You know I can't keep doing this forever" I told him

"We're gonna be 30 and you're still gonna be doing this" he told me

"I'm not so sure how your wife would react" I told him as we both smiled smiled at each other

He began leaning in as I began getting nervous as I looked at my clock

"Oh look we're gonna be late. Let's go." I said grabbing his hand dragging him back to his house

We met up with his family and my grandfather as Lord Fowler was telling us about the history of the British Parliament

"But the astounding thing about the fisheries
and hatcheries act of 1624 is hardly the bill itself, but rather its unique place in the entire 800-year history of maritime legislation. I'll go into greater detail at the restaurant." He told us

"I can't believe Geoffrey has done this to us.
This is going to be the longest night of our lives." Hilary said

"The only thing that'll make it better is knowing. Will has to sit through an opera." Carlton told us

"At this point, that's the only thing I have to cling to." I told them

"Well, I don't feel so good." Ashley groaned sitting down holding her stomach

"Don't even try it, Ashley. We're all in this together." I told her as she stood up and groaned as we left out the house

We got back from dinner as Lord Fowler was still talking. By now we were all half way asleep. I was leaning my head on Carlton's shoulder trying to stay awake

"So that brings us up to 1907 which in maritime law circles has come to be known
as "The Year of the Trout." Lord Fowler told

"I saw that sweater first." Hilary yelled jumping out of her sleep

"Excuse me." She apologized

"Lord Fowler. Wasn't there quite a row
in the House of Lords in 1912 when they repealed the Tuna Laws?" Geoffrey asked

"Oh, Geoffrey, that's a very long story." Lord Fowler said as we all stood up to leave

"It all began in 1910." He began as we all groaned and sat down

"Sir, before you continue would anyone
care for anything?" Geoffrey asked

"A lobotomy." Carlton whispered to me as I nodded

"Well, perhaps a drop of sherry, Geoffrey.
So, anyway, as I was saying I recently came upon a very interesting article on the subject.." He told us I heard monkey nosies as I looked out the corner of my eye and saw Will

"1910 brought a tuna shortage to the southern shores of Cornwall Penzance in particular. The vote, which should interest

Sir Rudolf Tetherbury.." Lord Fowler continued as I stood up

"I have to go to the bathroom" I said as I was about to leave when my grandfather grabbed my hand

"Take me with you" he begged

"I'll come back for you" I whispered to him as I pretended to go to the bathroom but snuck into the kitchen through the back way

Geoffrey and I walked into the kitchen to see Will standing there

"Master William. What are you doing here?" Geoffrey asked

"Why aren't you with Lady Penelope at the opera?" I asked

"Opera? G, Zee, she's never seen an opera in her life. G, Zee, I'm telling you, G, Zee, she's been fronting the whole time." Will told us

"How dare you besmirch the reputation of a British lady." Geoffrey told him

"G, the lady is a tramp. She, she stole the car
she snuck out to the roughest bar in town
and then she hooked up with a human Godzilla." Will said

"Master William, are you telling me the truth?" Geoffrey asked

"I swear on a stack of"TV Guides." Will told us

"This must be serious" I told Geoffrey

"Master William, if we don't bring her home safe and sound Lord Fowler will never forgive me. Your Uncle will lose faith in me.
I'll never work again, and my career will be
ruined." Geoffrey said

"Can we try to keep this in perspective here, G? I'm not going to get to see Ziggy." Will said

"We must go to that bar and get her back." I told them

"To the Batmobile." Will said

"Shame on Lady Penelope. When she was a little girl, I always told her there is no excuse
for lying." Geoffrey said as he walked into the living room

"Milord, I'm afraid I have some bad news.
My cousin Roddy has just been suddenly struck with malaria. I must go to quarantine immediately." Geoffrey said

"What happened to never tell a lie" I whispered as I walked into the living room

"Grandpa, we must go home. We have to feed the turtle" I said as my grandfather got up and walked over to me

"We don't have a turtle" he whispered to me

"Shut up they don't know that" I whispered back as we went to Geoffrey's car

We walked into the bar as Will as we looked around it was dirty and trashy

"Yo, G, Mr. A, Zee, this is a rough crowd. Y-you gotta watch what you say around here." Will told us

"What do you mean, thank you?" A guy asked as he pushed another guy

I felt a hand grab my butt as I took the person's hand and twisted it behind thier back

"Touch me again and you'll be eating through a straw" I threatened as I let go

"You're mean" the biker cried as he ran away

"Guys That's the guy that Lady P was dancing
with." Will told us

"But where's Lady Penelope?" My grandfather asked

"He could be hiding her in his fist." Will told us

"I shall have to have a word with him." Geoffrey said

"Careful, G." Will warned

"Not to worry. I know how to handle his sort." Geoffrey said as we walked to the guy

"What have you done with Lady Penelope
you knuckle-dragging swine?" Geoffrey asked as the guy turned around and began crying 

"She's gone." He cried

"Gone?" I asked as the guy sniffed

"Yeah. She broke up with me." He told us

"Where is she?" My grandfather asked

"Really, I don't know. She said she wanted
to go for a ride so I took her to the parking lot
and put her on my bike. And then I turned around to spit and the next thing I know,
she took off on my Harley." He told us

"Hey, hey, man, I-I know how you feel." Will said

"You'll find love again someday" I reassured him

"Are you 18 yet" he asked looking me up and down as I went hid behind my grandfather

"Hey, we better keep looking." Will told us

"Nonsense. The man's a liar. Tell us what you've done with Lady Penelope or I shall be forced to thrash you." Geoffrey said

"Don't press him, G. You saw what he did to
Tokyo." Will told him

"Don't worry, Master William. In my youth, I was quite a Greco-Roman wrestler." Geoffrey said as he jumped on the mans back as we watched the whole scene play out

We left the bar as we were in the street talking

"How are we going to tell Lord Fowler we lost his daughter?" Will asked as my grandfather and I looked at each other

"That's your problem" we both said pointing to them

"You guys really gonna bail on us" Will asked as my grandfather and I looked at each other again

"Yep" we both said as we began walking to our house

"You're both fake and I hate you" Will yelled to us

"See you tomorrow" he yelled as we both smiled. We sound like a true family
