Zora POV

I was sitting in the living room at the Bank's house with Mr. and Mrs. Banks and Ashley when Hilary walked in

"Okay, I did my budget just like you told me." Hilary told her mother

"Good for you. Let me see." Mrs. Banks told her

"Alright, this is the amount I made last week
and these were my expenses. As you can see, I spent five times more than I made.
This budget thing is pretty easy." She said as she walked away when the doorbell rang

"Yo, G, G, G! Chill, man! Eh, eh, whatever you do, don't open that door." Will yelled running in

"Please, Lord, tell me it isn't the police." Mrs. Banks begged

"No. No, no. It's my boy, Jazz." Will said

"Mm. Much worse." Mr. Banks said as the doorbell rang again

"Hey, G, ten bucks says I ain't home." Will said

"It doesn't quite say it loudly enough.
Do I hear 15?" Geoffrey asked

"G, you're gonna do a brother like that?
Man, it's my life at stake." Will told him

"I took that into consideration." Geoffrey said as he went go answer the door

"Why don't you wanna see Jazz?" I asked Will

"It's his sister I don't wanna see. Jazz trying to set me up." Will said

"Jazz has a sister?" Mr. Banks asked as Hillary walked back in

"Mr. Jazz and Ms. Janet." Geoffrey said as they walked into the room

"Well, prince, here she is. Janet, Will. Will, Janet." Jazz said as they shook hands

"Y-you don't have a goatee." Will told her

"Excuse me?" She asked

"Hi, I'm Vivian Banks, Will's aunt and this is my husband, Philip and our daughters,
Hilary and Ashley and a friend of the family Zora." Mrs. Banks introduced

"It's nice to meet you." Janet told us

"Hey-hey, m-m-m-meet me again." Will said as he shook hand again

"Well, why don't we all take a seat?" Mr. Banks said as they all sat down

"May I get you anything, Master William?
A dribble bib?" Geoffrey asked as he walked away

"So, Janet, how long have you been in town?" Mrs. Banks asked

"Well, I just moved out here. I got a scholarship to go to UCLA." She told her

"Oh, well, we certainly know who got the brains in your family." Hilary said

"Yeah, but Janet ain't stupid." Jazz said

"So, Mrs. Banks, Jazz tells me you're a college professor." Janet said

"That's right. I teach English." Mrs. Banks told her

"And Mr. Banks, Jazz tells me you're a professional wrestler." Janet said

"Well, I'm afraid he was mistaken. I'm a lawyer." Mr. Banks told her

"My apologies. I was misquoted." Jazz said

"Well, Janet, I went to UCLA. Do you want to use my books?" Hillary asked her

"Thanks. I was thinking of buying used books." Janet said

"Oh. Well, these aren't used. Come take a look at them, anyway." Hilary said as they walked away

"Okay. Well, Jazz, I'm going to go into the kitchen for a snack. When I come back, I want you gone." Mr. Banks said standing up

"Guess I got plenty of time then." Jazz said as Ashley and I laughed

"Hey, Will, I think Janet likes you." Ashley told him 

"Oh, yeah, I definitely think she's up on me." Will said

"You know, it's probably not too late
to get that spinach out of your teeth." I teased him as Ashley and I walked out the living room

The next day I was at The Banks House in the kitchen with Hilary as we were having a cup of tea

"Hi, Hilary, Zo, did a guy named Michael call
while I was in the shower?" Ashley asked

"No. Who is he?" I asked

"Just a boy in my class."

"Do you like him?" I asked

"Well, sorta." She said as I smiled

"I remember my first crush. It's funny actually I just moved out here from New York. It this cute boy who lived across the...street" I said as I started to think about it and realized who I was talking about

"Oh my god" I whispered as I started to know who I was talking about

"Who was it" Ashley asked curiously

"It was nobody anyway was he supposed to call?" I asked changing the subject

"Well, he said he would." Ashley said as Hilary scoffed

"I can't stand it when men do this. I mean,
they say they're gonna call and so you wait
and wait and wait and nothing. I mean, what do they think? That we have nothing better
to do than sit by the phone?" Hilary said as the phone rang as she went go answer it

"Hello? Oh, hello, Michael. Well, I'm glad you found a time that was convenient for you to call. No, Ashley is not here. I don't know where she is. She may not be back for several days." Hilary said on the phone as Ashley's eyes widened and she walked out the Hilary

"Hilary!" Ashley yelled

"I know what I'm doing." She told her

"Oh, you want her to call you back? Oh, yeah.
That'll be happening, Mr. God's Gift To The Fifth Grade." Hilary said as they walked out the kitchen when Mr. and Mrs. Banks walked in

"Don't you feel great? Brisk walk in the morning. And now you're all exercised and ready to start the day." Mrs. Banks said

"Yeah. We got anymore of those pecan rolls?" Mr. Banks asked

"Hey, Aunt Viv, Uncle Phil, Zee I need your help. I-I'm having girl problems." Will told us sitting down

"Didn't your date go well last night?" Mr. Banks asked asked

"No." He told us as I got up and walked over to him

"Oh...What's the matter, baby?" I asked hugging his side

"You like Janet more than she likes you?" Mrs. Banks asked

"I don't think so." Will told her

"Well, I sure liked her." Mr. Banks said

"Yeah, I hope so. Since we'll probably be living here with our six kids." He told us

"Kids?" I asked

"Yeah. She told me last night we're having six." Will told us

"Not anytime soon, I hope?" Mrs. Banks said as I walked over to Mr. Banks and grabbed a pecan roll

"Oh, no, she doesn't want to start the family
until we finish graduate school, worked at least five years and we have complete dental benefits." Will told us

"That sounds very sensible." I told him

"Zee. This is all before we had salads." He told me

"Well, why don't you just tell her you're not interested?" Mr. Banks asked

"I tried, man. She just won't listen. It is like "Fatal Attraction." Hey, I'm telling you,
if we had a bunny dude would be on the stove
right now." Will told us

"Oh! Come on, Will." Mr. Banks said

"Aunt Viv, I'm telling you, this babe is tripping. I mean, she's already telling me
what to do, what to eat, where to look." Will said

"Well, women get like that." Mr. Banks said as Mrs. Banks and I looked offended and walked over to him and crossed our arms

"Get like what?" Mrs. Banks and I asked him

"Please finish that sentence" I begged threatening him

"Oh, y-you know." Mr. Banks stuttered

"No, Philip, we do not. Women get like what?" Mrs. Banks asked

"Like that." Will said as I turned to him

"You say something, William?" I asked

"Master William, Mr. Jazz is here to see you." Geoffrey said

"Thank you, G." Will said as he walked away as Mrs. Banks and I continued to glare at Mr. Banks

"What do women get like? I am waiting. Hello!" Mrs. Banks said

"Sleep with one eye open tonight" I told him as I walked out the kitchen

"Hi, fellas!" Carlton said running into the living room

"Hope you don't mind, Will. I borrowed your Public Enemy tape." Carlton said

"You like Public Enemy? " Will asked

"I know everything about you. You never told me you listen to Public Enemy" I told him 

"Tell you the truth, they're not half bad." He told us

♪ 911's a joke in your town ♪♪ he sang as I laughed

"Your so adorable" I said smiling and hugging him

"That used to be my favorite song." Jazz said as I let go of Carlton

"You know, Carlton, I misjudged you. You're a lot cooler than I thought. Uh, you want to go to the club with us tonight?" Will asked

"Sure, but I don't have a date." Carlton told him

"Carlton, never bring a sandwich to a buffet." Will told him as Carlton turned to me

"Zora will you go to dinner with me tonight" he asked as I shrugged

"Sure" I said

"As friends of course" he told me as I nodded

"Of course" I said

"No you shouldn't come" Will told me as I looked confused

"Why not" I asked

"She doesn't like you" Will told me

"Why? I never did her nothing" I told him

"Look she doesn't like me talking to other girls" Will told me

"Well tough break I'm coming anyway and if she says something stupid to me. I will break her jaw" I told him

"And I will keep you in line so that doesn't happen" Carlton told me

That night I walked over to the table with Janet, Jazz, Carlton, and Will

"Hi Guys" I said smiling

"Why she here" Janet asked Will as he kept his head down as I sat next to Carlton

"You look great" Carlton whispered to me as I smiled when the waitress walked over to us and began taking our orders

"And what is boyfriend having?" She asked

"Green-grass salad with blue-cheese dressing." Will said with his head down as Janet cleared her throat

"Nix the blue cheese." Will said

"Got it." She said as she walked away when Hilary and Toni walked up to us

"Janet! Kiss, kiss." Hilary said as they air kissed. Wow she's two faced

"Janet, meet Toni. Toni, Janet." Hilary introduced

"Oh, Janet! I have a sister named Jane, but we call her Amy." Toni said as we looked at her strangely

"Well, you know Carlton, Will, and Zora. And a little further down in the evolutionary chart, Jazz." Hilary said

"She noticed me." Jazz whispered

"Hi, Carlton. Hi, Will. Hi, Zora" Toni said to us

"Hey, how are you doing, Toni?" Will said as Janet hit his shoulder

"That's my cousin's best friend." Will told her

"Do I look like I care?" She said as I was about to say something but Carlton put his hand over my mouth 

"Aren't you feeling well, Janet? You seem a little cranky." Carlton asked

"Ah, no, no, she's just kidding around, Carlton. That's what makes her so much fun." Will said as I took Carlton's hands off my mouth 

"Will, this is a great jacket!" I said to him as he smiled at me as Janet glared as he put his head down

"Uh...thanks." He told me

"Are you, like, saying grace or what?" Hilary asked

"Yeah, I've been praying a lot lately." Will said

"William, if you don't stop talking out of the side of your mouth you gonna be talking like that permanently." Janet told him as my eyes widened

"Ooh, break out the Midol." Toni said

"I'll say this once and I'll say it as nicely as possible you're not gonna talk to him lile that" I told her as she glared at me

"Would you two ladies care to join us?" Carlton asked

"Maybe later. We have to see if anyone better is here first." Hilary said as her and Toni left

"Isn't that Patrick Swayze?" Carlton asked

"Hey, I don't know. You tell us, Carlton.
You see, Janet, not only is Carlton brilliant and handsome he also knows everybody
who's anybody. Ain't that right, Jazz?" Will asked

"Does he know Janet Jackson?" Jazz asked

"William, ever since we've got here you've been going on and on about Carlton this
and Carlton that. Boy, save your charm
for the girl on your arm." Janet told him

"Well, someone has her rude hat on tonight." Carlton said

"Who does she think she is" I asked

"William, my soda is warm." She said

"Yo, Gia!" Will yelled with his head down as our waitresses walked up to us

"I need more ice." Janet said

"You need more ice what?" I asked

"I need more ice in my warm soda." Janet said

"You need more ice, please." I corrected her

"What did you say to me?" She asked me standing up

"She said, "You need more ice,please." Gia repeated as she walked away

"Watch who your talking to little girl" she told me as my eyes widened

"Carlton" I asked as I began taking out my earrings

"Yes Zora" he asked

"Hold my earrings" I told him giving them to him

"I got you girl" he said as I stood up

"I have been trying to be as nice as possible all night but you've been saying slick shit all night." I told her

"Who are you to talk to me that way" she told me

"Heads up" Jazz said as he and Will scooted their chairs over

"I have been trying to be graceful all night. So now I'm gonna take your hair and drag you across this table and this floor and be graceful while doing" I threatened her

"Well you been making eyes at my man all night. I know you like him and you're trying to play it all innocent like you don't" she told me

"Your really insecure if you think that" I told her

"Well, I'm sorry. I've got to say something." Carlton said standing up

"Janet, your behavior this evening has been
completely unacceptable." Carlton told her as I moved my chair next to Will and Jazz to watch what was going to happen next

"Carlton..." Will warned

"Where I come from, manners count for a lot.
I'm sorry I've got to say this, but I simply can't sit back and allow this rudeness
to continue! You owe every one of us
an apology especially, that poor waitress.
And if you refuse, we're taking you home
and continuing the evening without you.
Do I make myself clear?" Carlton told her as I smiled

"Look at him. He has some Zora in him. I'm so proud" I said

"You know, I'm gonna miss him." Will told Jazz and I

"Do I make myself clear?" Carlton repeated as she started looking at him with a dreamy expression

"Yes, Carlton." She told him

"What's happening" I asked confessedly

The next day I was at the Banks house with Will and Jazz as they were telling Mr. Banks what happened

"Hey, I'm telling you, Carlton was a little bit of that. Uncle Phil, I didn't know he had it in him. He just stood right up to Janet and said
"Baby, that's about all that lip I'm gonna have." Will said

"Boys, you've got a lot to learn about women. Carlton has obviously been watching me in action." Mr. Banks said as Mrs. Banks was behind him

"Now, Will, your Aunt Vivian can be quite bossy at times but, uh, when she starts bossing me around I don't let it bother me. I just say "No" in a strong masculine voice
and when I say "No," she jumps." Mr. Banks told him

"Excuse me." Mrs. Banks asked as he jumped

"What did you say?" She asked as I smiled at him trying to see how he was gonna get out of this one

"I don't know. How long have you been
there?" He asked

"I came in on, "Your Aunt Vivian
can be quite bossy sometimes." She told him

"Oh, well, you didn't hear the part where I said "Boys, the rest of this statement is completely untrue." He told her

"Philip, you better sleep with one eye open." She threatened him and walked away

"I got her just where I want her." He said as he walked away

"You know, I've learned something from all this, Jazz, Zee .You know what every woman wants?" Will told

"Rib tips?" Jazz asked

"That sounds good right now" I said

"No, Jazz, every woman wants a man to take control. That's what Carlton did with Janet.
If he can make it work for him, imagine what I could do." Will said

"Sure take advice from other guys about what women want and not from actual women" I said sarcastically when Janet and Carlton walked in

"You did an excellent job on those apology notes." Carlton told her

"I'll mail them right away." Janet said

"Mail them?" Carlton asked

"I'm sorry, Carlton. I'll hand-deliver them." She said

"That's better. I'll get your coat." He said grabbing her chin as my stomach twisted with an unknown feeling as I gagged

"That was the sound of me holding back my vomit" I told them when Janet walked up to me

"Hey look I'm sorry for how I treated you maybe we can start over and go to lunch together" she told me as I smiled

"That sounds really nice but if you ever talk to me stupid again you'll end up on chanel five news in a body bag" I told her as I smiled and walked away
