Zora POV

I was at Cheer Practice as we were all stretching

There was only seven girls on the team. There was Brittney the Captain, Claudia the head Co-Captain, Me, I was a captain in training, Chloe, Raven, Jessica, Danielle, and Brianna

"I think we should learn some new cheers for the game" I said

"Why do we have to we know we're gonna lose" Chloe said

"That's the spirit Chloe" I told her smiling when Will and Jazz walked in as I got up and walked up to them

"Hey Will, Jazz, what are you doing here" I asked

"Uncle Phil and Aunt Viv sent us down here to watch basketball practice. What about you" Will asked

"Cheer practice" I told them

"Zee you're a cheerleader" he asked

"Yep. I'm Captain in training actually" I told him 

"So that means you can invite your cheer friends for a sleepover" Will said as he and Jazz waved to the girls flirtatiously

"The boys practice in the big gym" I told them as I pushed them out

"Who's your friends" Claudia asked

"Trust me. You don't want to date them" I said as we got up and started practicing

After practice I was at the Banks House as Carlton took out a chalk board to teach Will some basketball plays

Since the basketball season started and I had cheer practice on Tuesday's and Thursday's and games on Friday's. I only tutor Ashley on Monday's and Wednesday's and give her the weekend off.

Okay, Will, this is gonna be fun. The coach asked me to go through the playbook with you." Carlton told him

"Carl, your team doesn't need a play book. They need a prayer book." Will said as I nodded

"Alright, now, pay attention. This is you.....and this is me." Carlton said drawing two stick figures

"Carlton, you got it wrong already. It's more like this. See like..This is me. And this is you." Will told him drawing one stick figure larger than the other one

"Fair enough. This is my brain and this is your brain." Carlton said drawing a big circle for his brain and a tiny speck for Will's

"Well, this is my handsome face. And this is your ugly little Frankenstein face." Will said drawing a smile on his stick figure and scribbling on Carlton's

"Give me that chalk." Carlton told him

"Oh, come on, man, beat it." Will told him

"Give me the chalk." Carlton told him

"Come on now, man." Will told him as he held it above his head

"Stop it you two" I scolded them standing up

"Ashley!" Will yelled throwing the chalk to her as Ashley walked into the living room

"Here, Ashley, finally there's an adult in the room." Carlton said as she threw it to Will

"Guys, I'm trying to study. What are you doing?" Hilary asked

"Keep away from Carlton." Will told her

"Oh, over here, over here." Hilary saud as they started throwing the chalk

"I give up" I mumbled as I sat down amd watched down

"Children, please! What if your parents witnessed this horseplay? Give me that chalk immediately." Geoffrey told them

"Keep away from Carlton and Geoffrey." Will said

"You've met your match, Master William." Geoffrey said as he tackled him to the couch

"Hey, Geoffrey, get off me, man." Will yelled as Mr. and Mrs. Banks walked into the living room

"Geoffrey?" Mr. Banks said as Geoffrey stood up

"May I get you something, sir?" Geoffrey asked

"No, thank you." He told him

"Will, how many times do I have to tell you that this is our living room? How'd you like it if I went into your room
and suddenly started throwing chalk around?" Mr. Banks asked him

"I'd be devastated." Will told him

"Out."he told him as we all walked out the living room

It was finally game day as the other cheerleaders and I were stretching. I saw my grandfather and the Banks family as I waved to them.

The whistle blew as we all stood up as it was the tip off as Will got the ball and we all cheered

The game continued as Will kept making baskets as we cheered for him.

"Go Go Go Will" we all yelled waving our pom poms

It was the last five seconds as the score was 62-21. I

"Five, four, three, two, one!" We all yelled as Will made a buzzer beater as we all cheered

I put my pom poms down as I ran over to Will and hugged him

"Will, you just won you're high school basketball game. What are you going to do now?" I asked

"I'm going to Disneyland!" He yelled jumping up and down as he ran to Mr. Banks and jumped on him

"You did alright! You did alright!" Mr. Banks told him

I saw Carlton walk outside the gym as I ran up to him

"Hey we're all gonna get some pizza. Wanna come?" I asked him

"I'm really tired. I'm just gonna get some rest" he told me as my smile dropped

"Oh. Okay. Well I'll see you tomorrow" I told him as he walked away and I walked back over to the team

The next day I walked into the Banks House as I saw Carlton there

"Hi Carlton" I told him

"Hey Zora" he told me as I noticed he was sad

"What's wrong" I asked

"Uh, Zora, can I ask you something?" Carlton asked as I nodded

"Sure." I told him sitting down

"How was I in the basketball game
last Friday?" He asked me

"You were great, I mean you didn't make any baskets or anything but you looked cute in your uniform." I teased pinching his cheeks when Hilary walked in

"I think it's great how you don't get it too sweaty. I guess it's 'cause you don't
run too fast. Smart move." Hilary told him

"Did dad mention me during the game?" He asked her

"Oh, yeah, he did turn around to
the guy behind him once and say Shut up. That's my son you're talking about." Hilary said

"Oh." He said as she walked out

"It's Will, isn't it?" I asked

"No. No, no. It's-it's not." He denied

"Carlton I know you better than anyone on the planet and you know me better than anyone so Talk to me." I told him as he sat next to me and I grabbed his hand

"Look, it's ridiculous to compare yourself to Will. You're captain of the debate team, a straight A student.. You're leader of the Glee club. So what if Will's good at basketball." I told him

"Thanks, Zora. That means a lot to me." He told me as I smiled as Hilary walked back in

"And besides, if that basket were, like, two feet lower.....you'd be just as good as he is." Hilary said as she walked back out

"Zora do you mind" he asked me glumly

"Of course not" I told him as he put his head on my chest as I wrapped my arms around him hugging him

It was time for the next game as the cheerleaders and I were sitting on the bench as the boys were warming up

"If you could date anyone on the basketball who would it be" Brittney asked

"Johnathan"  Danielle said

"Kellogg" Chloe said

"I'd say Micheal" Jessica said

"What about you Zora" Claudia asked

"Obviously it's between Carlton or Will" Chloe said 

"Obviously she'll go for Carlton. They've known each other the longest" Jessica argued

"Well her and Will would make a cute couple too" Brianna said

"Okay why are we talking about my love life and by the I was gonna say Chadney" I told them

"But if you had to choose one" Raven asked as I was about to answer but answer the buzzer went off as the Headmaster walked out as we all clapped and the cheerleaders and I sat on the floor

"Students, parents, alumni let me introduce our beloved coach Herb Smiley." He said as we all clapped

"Thank you. Thank you. I see a lot of new faces out here tonight. Faces I didn't see when we were losing. People who did not support this team in its darkest hour. Well, all I can say is, I don't blame you one bit. Half the time, I didn't wanna be at those games. And quite frankly, I usually ducked out a little early. But that's all gonna change
tonight because of our new superstar..
...Will Smith." Coach Smiley said as we all clapped as Will walked out with a robe and sunglasses on

The game started as we all stood up and began cheering. I couldn't even cheer Will was hogging the ball and everyone on the team looked miserable and like they weren't having fun

Will walked over to the cheerleaders as Brittney kissed his cheek and shot the ball

After the second half we sat back on the floor as I watched Will cockily run around the court as I rolled my eyes

Will's teammates were screaming for him to pass the ball but he didn't and shot the basket

Coach Smiley blew his whistle calling a te out

"With seven seconds remaining,
Bel-Air is down by two points and calls a time out." The man on the speaker said as the cheerleaders and I started talking

The buzzer went off as they went back on the court they passed the ball to Will but Carlton grabbed it as they started fighting over it as I gasped. I can't believe the way they are acting

Carlton finally took the ball and threw it as we all looked at it as it missed the basket as the other team began cheering as Will glared at Carlton

After the game I was wearing Carlton's hoodie and black sweatpants as I was sitting on the Banks Couch

"Hey, Carlton, I'm goin' out to shoot some hoops, man. So, if you'd like to practice some new and more spectacular ways to lose a game, please join me." Will told him

"Put that down." Carlton told him

"Put what down?" Will asked

"My basketball." Carlton told him

"Your basketball? Uh, excuse me,
your name is "Spalding?" Will asked

"Dad gave it to me for my birthday three years ago. It's my ball. Give it." Carlton said as he stood up

"Why you in such a bad mood? You should be the happiest guy in the world." Will told him

"Yeah? Why?" Carlton asked

"Cause you got out of that locker room alive. Yo, man, Coach Smiley was upset.
Boy, you're lucky that was just a starter's pistol." Will told him

"I was trying to win the game." Carlton told him

"No, you weren't. You're just trying to be the hero." Will said

"Somebody else can be the hero
besides you all the time." Carlton told him

"Look, let's get something straight, Carlton. I been here for two months,
alright. I've been getting yelled at at home screamed at at school I've been sent to detention, I've been grounded
I've been threatened with expulsion
on almost a daily basis. I finally do something I get credit for, you can't take it! Well, yo, man, I got news for you. I ain't about to sell myself short
just to make you feel better. Grow up." Will told him

'You're the one who should grow up
hogging the ball every chance you get!" Carlton yelled at him

"Man, I wasn't hogging nothing" Will denied

"Yeah, you were hogging the---" Carlton said as I had enough of this. I stood up standing between them

"Stop it. You're both acting like children" I yelled at them 

"He started it" they yelled pointing to each other

'I don't care who started it. Act your age not your shoe size" I told him as Mr. Banks walked in

"Okay, you two. What's this all about?" He asked

"Carlton doesn't want me to use his basketball cause he's afraid I might get it in the basket." Will said

"Will you two start acting your age?What I saw on that basketball court tonight was a disgrace." I yelled at them

'If I had made that last shot, I'd be the hero right now." Carlton said

"Carlton, the fact that you missed the shot wasn't a disgrace. You stole the ball from a member of your own team." Mr. Banks told him

"Yeah, and if you'd passed it to me, we would've won." Will said

"Oh, you would, huh?" Mr. Banks asked

"Of course. Man, I can make that shot
with my eyes closed and one hand tied
behind my back." Will said

"Uh-huh, was that gonna be your next trick? 'Cause you were like a one-man circus out there." I told him

"Zee, the coach told the team to pass the ball to me." Will told me

"Uh-huh, and did he tell you to woof at the crowd kiss the cheerleader between plays and shoot the ball backwards?" Mr. Banks asked

"Well, no, I came up with all that fly stuff myself." He said

"That wasn't fly, Will. A real star plays with the team. Maybe you should
think about that." I told him as he walked away

"God I feel like thier mother at times" I mumbled as I walked to the bathroom

After I came from the bathroom I walked outside amd saw Carlton shooting some hoops

I grabbed the ball and made a basket as Carlton looked impressed and grabbed the rebound

"You're actually really good" Carlton told me as I smiled

"Thank you. My father and I used to play when I was a little girl" I said as I smiled at the memory

I grabbed the ball out his hands as I began running around

Hey that's traveling" he told me as I began running as he ran behind me and picked me up as I laughed as I noticed Will standing there

"Oh hey Will you wanna play" I asked him

"Oh naw I'm cool. You guys can enjoy your game" he said walking back into the house as Carlton and I continued playing
