Zora POV A/N Extremely Short Chapter so I'll Update Again Later Tonight

Carlton and I were walking into his house as we sat down on the couch in the living room

"So what are you doing tonight" I asked him as he smiled

"I have a date with Michelle" he told me as I turned to him

"Oh" I said

"Yeah" he told me

"She's nice" I told him

"Yeah she really is" he said smiling as I smiled softly

That night I was all alone everybody had plans, Ashley was going to a birthday party, Geoffrey had the night off, Mr. Banks had work to do, Will was out, and Carlton was on his date with Michelle

I walked into the living room I saw Michelle and Carlton on thier date. I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a box of Rice Krispie Treats

I peaked around the corner and saw them about to kiss as I walked into the living room smiling

"Hello, hello. Rice Krispie Treats?" I asked smiling

"What are you doing?" Carlton asked as I ignored him and heard the song playing in the background

"Oh I love this song" I said as I went turn it up louder

"We were in the middle of something" Carlton told me

"Now I'm in the middle of both of you" I said sitting down smiling

"Hi Michelle" I said as she waved to me I could tell she was annoyed

"Hi Zora. How are you?" She asked me

"I'm good. That's a nice top" I told her as she smiled

"Thank you" she said

"Excuse me" Carlton told her as he grabbed my hand and dragged me to the side

"Zora I'm on a date right now and I would appreciate if you would go home" he told me

"Your kicking me out" I asked as he nodded

"Yeah" he told me as I nodded in understanding.

I was being rude by interrupting thier date amd Michelle's really nice but I just want to claw her eyes out for some reason

"Okay" I told him as I grabbed my stuff and went home

I was sitting in my room holding my teddy bear when my grandpa walked in

"Hey Bug, what's the matter" he asked sitting on my bed

"Its nothing." I told him as he gave me a look as he could tell I was lying

"You used to sing to me all the time" I told him as he smiled at me

My grandfather actually is an amazing singer he sings at church all the time. That's why I love to sing so much.

"Yeah I remember. Now do you want to tell me what's wrong because I have a whole list of songs. I can rap for you if you want" he told me as I laughed and shook my head

"Just don't have anything to do" I told him. I was technically lying everyone had plans tonight

"Well you can hang out with me. We haven't done that in a while" he told me as I looked skeptical. I love my grandfather but we haven't hung out in a long time just the two of us

I'm always with the Banks or at school or at my million of after school activities

"Hey I'm not some old timer. Back in my day I was Da Bomb" he told me as I cringed at him trying to use slang

"Please don't say that again" I begged him as he nodded

"Okay" he told me as he started beat boxing as I put my pillow over my head

My grandfather and I went to the pier as we were sitting down and eating ice cream

"So how's school" he asked me

"School's fine" I told him

"Any boys" he asked as I shook my head

"I know you don't want to hear me talk about boys" I told him as he nodded

"I really don't" he told me as I smiled

"What about you" I asked

"What about me" He asked

"Any women" I asked as he shook his head

"No" he told me

"Well Ms. Ethel saw you pick me up one day and I think she's interested"I sang as he smiled at me

"You trying to set me up" he asked

"Well you deserve to be happy" I told him as he smiled

"I am happy" he told me

"Are you? I mean you're sick and all alone" I told him

"I'm not alone I have you" he told me as he smiled softly

"I actually remember the day you were born. You were so perfect. You had the cutest little nose and you looked up at me and smiled and I knew I was gonna love you with ever bone in my body" he told me as I smiled

"We didn't hang out much when I was living in New York" I told him

"Yeah then you came live with me. It wasn't all peaches and cream. You were a lot like Will when you moved here" He told me as I smiled

"Yeah how far we've come" I said as he laughed

"I'm thinking about retiring" He told me as I looked surprised

"What. You love your job" I sais

"I do its just I'm getting older and I'll visit sometimes" He told mr as I nodded

"Well if that's what you want to do. I'm not gonna stop you" I told him as he smiled

"I know I don't say this much but I am incredibly blessed to have such a strong and independent granddaughter" he told me as I smiled and wrapped my arms around him

"I love you" I told him as he hugged me back smiling

"I love you too Zo-Zo" he told me as he rubbed my back

That night my grandfather and I talked for the longest we ever did in a long time and I am incredibly grateful for him
