You're Ok(Judy/Nick)(request)

Request from bestbatgirl_2010.

Judy was walking into a corner of a street in Sahara Square. Bellweather had escaped with her associates once again targeting innocent predators. And one of them was her partner, Nick.

Her ears twitched at some sounds rustling. She shot her flashlight, scanning slowly for anything that could appear.

"Growl!"

"Ah!"

The bunny jumped back when Nick appeared in the light, snarling before dashing back into the dark. "Nick!" She called out to him, pulling out a blue vial. The antidote for the infected predators.

The rabbit was on high alert as the fox kept running around the place. She lacked night vision so the flashlight was the only thing and her hearing too. She bumped into some boxes from behind her that began to toppled down her, its shadow looming over her. Right before she could turn around to see that shadow, something grabbed her by the shirt collar and pulled her away from the avalanche of boxes.

Judy hit the floor and dropped the flashlight. She glanced at the boxes, kinda glad that Nick pulled her out in time. The bunny looked atthe flashlight and saw that it was pointing at Nick, exposing him in the light. She slowly stood up and began catiously approaching him. "Hey Nick. It's me. Judy" she whispered softly, not wanting to spoke him off.

He snarled at her, ears flatten in distress as he started banging against the wall, stressed and confused. It shocked her, causing her to fear that he would hurt himself like.

"Sh sh. It's ok Nick. It's ok. It's ok"

Judy assured him, getting his attention back as he bared his teeth at her. The bunny carefully brought her paws to his face, pausing whenever he would snarl or snap at her. Once they rested on his cheeks, he suddenly started to relax, just staring at her. "It's ok Nick. You're ok. I'm here" she assured him gently caressing his face. The fox nuzzled into her paw, feeling relaxed as he whimpered in distress. Those sounds broke her heart, seeing how distressed he was.

She pulled out the vial and held it out to him. "Here. This is gonna help you" she told him, opening the cap. Nick sniffed it catiously before she started pouring it and letting him lap it like it was water.

The fox's eyes flutter slowly before collapsing but Judy caught him before he could hit the ground, not wanting any further harm done to him.  She got on her knees as her paws brushed through his reddish orange fur to calm him down. The antidote was strong so this expected but he would be alright. She was relieved to have found him and save him.

"Ugh....Judy?"

Her ears perked up at his voice cracked but familiar. She glanced down, finding him stirring back to his senses. His eyes blinked a couple of times, feeling his head spinning. He glanced around until they made its way to Judy's violet eyes. "Nick. Are you ok?" She asked him concerned. "Arhh. Yeah. My head hurts but I think I'm fine" he told her, holding his head. Judy rubbed his back as her other paw felt his head for any injuries. Thankfully, it seemed alright, so it was probably a headache.

"Hey Judy..."

The cop looked back down at the fox, who looked at her worried. "I can't really remember when I was under the night howler's effects but did I hurt you? I heard your voice and then I snapped out of it" he asked her, scared he did something he would regret. It was like seeing through a pair of eyes that weren't your own.

She gave him an assuring smile, caressing his face softly. "No Nick. No. You didn't hurt me. In fact, you saved from some heavy boxes that would've turn me into bunny pizza" she told him and he chuckled slightly at that.

"Judy....thanks" he told her gratefully, glad she had arrived before he would do something he would regret. If she had gotten hurt because of him, she would never forgive himself. "Hey. I got you. Always. Now, are you able to stand?" She told him, running her paw on his head. The fox groaned tiredly as he stood up, wobbly for a moment. Judy held his arm to help him keep balance.

"Yeah" he croaked, holding his head. His partner put his arm over her shoulder and her other arm around his waist to help support him. "Come on. Will go to my place so you can rest" she told him, helping him walk out of the corner. "Shouldn't we report this to the chief?" He asked her puzzled, glancing at her. "I can text Bogo the report. But right now, I need to make sure you're ok Nick" she explained to him, wanting to assure his well-being. It surprised the fox but he smiled at her, happy to see she thought of him before her own duties as a police officer.
