Chapter Twenty-Two: The Ghosts and Kidnappings
"What do you mean they're missing?", Bogo said over the phone. "We can't find them! Officer Wilde is out looking in the park but we've checked every other place and they're nowhere!", the bunny said. A few hours ago, Judy was woken up to see her partner panicking in the room Casey and Jack were in. Only Casey and Jack were nowhere to be found. Their belongings were still there but their beds were messed up. The ZPD in Tundratown sent out a search party for them and Judy and Nick were advised to stay on the case. The bunny hung up as Nick came in through the door with a disappointed look on his face. "Any sign of them?", Judy asked. The fox shook his head. "I just don't understand! Where could they be!? Where's Casey!? I need to know if she's okay!", Nick said as his voice started cracking. "Nick, I think we should listen to Bogo and stick to this case. I found something that might he-", Judy was cut off by Nick. "What!? My sister is out there missing and can even be in danger and you're talking about the stupid ghost case!?", he exclaimed. "Nick, calm down. Hear me out. I found something interesting in the room that can relate to both cases.", Judy said as she led him into the room. She first showed him a mirror on the wall with red writing on it.
I'm Watching You
The bunny then showed Nick a piece of fur on Casey's bed and on Jack's bed. "It has to be them. whoever kidnapped Casey and Jack are the ones trying to scare us with this ghost dilemma.", Judy said. The fox quickly caught on. "And that fur proves that they really are mammals! But why do they want to do this? What's their motive?", the fox asked. "That's what we have to find out.".
Judy and Nick were interrogating everyone that lived in the area. Nick was getting tired of all the negative results. Since the rest of them believed it was haunted and slept in the motel nearby, they still said that it was ghosts. They also said that incidents like this happened before, too. Later, the bodies of the missing mammals were always found in their room. It scared the fox to think that something could happen to his sister. Casey was his only friend other than Finnick that he had. She'd been there from the start. Losing her would destroy him completely. It'd be like dying himself. The fox's fur was freezing despite wearing winter clothes since it was Tundratown and it was freezing here. His legs were sore, he couldn't feel his paws or snout anymore, and he was starving. But he kept going. Casey meant the whole world to him and he was not gonna betray his sister when she needed him the most. He's seen others do that one too many times. Since no one really knew that were cops, they had to act like normal mammals, so some of the others didn't respond to them in a polite way, but they didn't seem to show any signs of being the one behind it, so the two didn't mind. Next, it was time to ask the manager. Charles Bristtle. The snow leopard was standing outside of the small motel nearby giving out blankets. His 15-year-old son was leaning next to a wall and texting someone. "Hello, Ms. Longear and Mr. Scratchtail! Nice to see you today. Where are the other two?", he asked. "Well, They're actually missing so Mark and I decided to see if anyone knew where they are. So we decided to come talk to you and your son.", Judy said. "Well, I don't really know where these two are. You see, all these shops and the flat you're staying at really belongs to my brother, Phillip. Since he's not here, I'm taking care of this place till he returns which should be in the afternoon tomorrow. Maybe you could ask him if he knows where they might be. He knows the place a lot better than I do, so he would be more of help than me. Oh but feel free to poke around in the basement. The police always go there to find any information but never end up getting anything. Maybe you two can find something. Phillip told me that's where the records of all the um suicides and mysterious disappearances are. It also holds the sheet that says who's been at this place for the past 4 years. I hope you find our guests soon! Don't worry! And if you two need any help, feel free to ask.", the leopard said cheerfully. Judy nodded and smiled while the two walked away. Nick was still a little distracted by Charles's son. He seemed really nervous and kept glancing at the two mammals. His ears also perked up when he heard them talk about Casey and Jack. He seemed awfully suspicious. That little cub might be hiding something...
Author: Hey peeps! Yep, iz an update WOO HOO! :D Yeah yeah, I know I put Nicks P.O.V. and Judy's P.O.V. in the same chapter but that was only to skip back to Casey and Jack. Sometimes I might do things like this but only if it's necessary or if I just REALLY WANNA GET BACK TO CASEY AND JACK! And I heard you peeps like the chapters of Casey and Jack much more than Nick and Judy. So do you guys want Jack to be Casey's partner in the Spy Department so that every case will have him instead of the trio of Nick, Judy, and Casey? Or do you guys want him to come only occasionally but still be a part of the chapters of the characters' normal lives? Please please PLEASE TELL ME IN THE COMMENTS! I SWEAR NO ONE READS THIS PART.
