Chapter Eleven: The Tunnel

Judy entered the cave, along with Nick and Casey. They were using their flashlights on their phone to be able to see in the dark and frightening location. Well, dark and scary for Nick and Judy. Casey seemed to be enjoying the place. Her eyes were wide and she was smiling the whole time. "Um, Nick, she does know that she's in a cave full of who knows what and that at any second our lives could be in danger, right", the confused bunny asked. "Yup. And that's why she's happy. She's always hungry for danger.", Nick answered as he walked away, leaving Judy utterly confused. Casey was...different. Mostly any mammal can say that, but there was still something to her that bothered Judy. Casey acted like she was from the stone age! Those two foxes are definitely hiding something from her. But what could it be? Casey isn't a wolf, so she can't be like Emily, but then again. It could be possible that maybe Casey acted like werewolves. Hmm...Nah. Of course, she can't be savage! Stop assuming Judy!                                                                                                   The trio arrived at the dead end of the cave, and still, no evidence was found. Judy sighed. "We searched the entire cave and yet, there's no sign of Emily!". "It's like she somehow disappeared!", said Nick. Casey searched the end wall of the cave. Judy noticed that she started sniffing the wall like a wild canine. "What's she doing?", Judy asked. "Following her instincts to lead us to the gold", Nick answered. The gray bunny was still confused at the vixen's behavior. "Nick, why does Casey act like a savage fox?". "Because she didn't fully develop and now has the ability to turn savage whenever she wants or when she has her temper tantrums. She can also use her abilities without the full transformation like right now. I forgot to tell you about this. Sorry.", the fox replied calmly. Judy was just staring at him, wide eyes and mouth open. She couldn't believe what she just heard! "Hey, guys? I think I found something important here.", Casey said as she interrupted Judy's brain trying to understand the strange information given by Nick. The bunny and fox went over to where the vixen was standing. Casey pushed a button disguised as a rock, revealing a tunnel. Judy was shocked at the fox's ability. Casey should be in the Spy Department. Her savage senses sure are coming useful! The trio entered the tunnel. Emily must have gone this way!                                                                                                                                               Judy was leading the way through the tunnel, Nick behind her and Casey in the back. They were crawling through a tunnel that leads to who knows where trying to find a missing mammal that's family is a werewolf! The things they do for the city! I guess being one of the best cops in the ZPD means going on unpredictable cases and doing crazy things that no normal mammal with a brain would do. It was starting to get boring just crawling through that tunnel. All they could see was rock. The only source of light was Judy's flashlight, otherwise, it would have been completely dark. They were starting to see a light up ahead and crawled faster. They were soon out the tunnel and into...the prehistoric era? "What, did we suddenly get transported to Jurrasic Park or something.", Nick sarcastically said. They were in a different world. A world full of dinosaurs! It was alive and dangerous, adventure and death lurking around each and every corner of the place. Judy noticed that Nick wasn't really enjoying the dinosaurs, while Casey was loving it. A little fun fact about the Wildes: Nick hates dinosaurs while dinos are Casey's life! Well, after pizza.                                                                                                                                                                                         The place made it look like they time traveled in that tunnel. The sky was a yellowish-golden color, hints or orange and red indicating that dawn is arriving. There are green trees and other prehistoric plants in the area with lots of herbivores grazing on them. Most of them were brachiosauruses, harmless, long necked creatures of the past. They were so much bigger than an average giraffe in Zootopia! Just think how small the trio felt! "If Emily came here, I hope she knows a lot about dinosaurs. Otherwise, she'd literally be dead meat.", Nick said. "Wait a minute...prehistoric era! Casey, you know how to survive back then and you're like a werewolf! If Emily is a werewolf, she would have natural instincts to survive!", Nick exclaimed. Judy soon caught on with the plan. "So she would use the same instincts you would use here!", Judy remarked. "Well, for the first time, this thing might actually become handy!", the vixen said. She started to sniff out a den without dinosaurs in it. It would be a safe place to stay for the night. They can search for Emily in the morning. "Well if we're gonna stay alive, we have to avoid the center of this place as best as we can. All the more carnivorous dinosaurs stay there.", Casey said as she followed her nose to lead the way to the den.
