Zombie Girl IX. Animal
Zombie Girl IX. Animal
A blinding white hot pain shot up your arm and for a moment the world turned black, but as soon as the blackness came it was gone, when Hojo continued to saw through your wrist.
A pool of blood started to form on the floor below your chair, running around Hojo's shoes. He didn't seem to notice though. The crazed look on his face told you otherwise, that at the moment all he was concerned about was chopping you up into little pieces, bit by bit. He had already sawn off your left hand which was almost done regenerating, replacing another hand.
You let out an ear piecing scream as the saw reached the bone. At that point Hojo removed the saw from your sticky ruined arm and uncaringly threw the blade aside.
Upon closer inspection, he watched carefully how your flesh and blood, wound together like vines, slowly reattaching the cut together as it once was.
"Extraordinary...You are actually feeling pain." He mumbled to himself while grabbing his check-board and pen and scribbled something down.
You were amazed that you had managed to stay awake for so long.
"I think that's enough for today, the injection is wearing off and I don't want to waste it." He said, more to himself than you. Pulling a phone out of his pocket, he dialled a number and waiting for someone to pick up.
At that point you couldn't really care. You were so exhausted from the pain and regenerating your limbs.
"Vanitas, I need you to escort this...infected, back to its holding cell." The mad professor spoke into the phone.
"...Fine, which cell?" A males voice responded. It sounded as if he would rather do anything but take you back to whatever dump they would be holding you in. You didn't blame him.
"06, and be quick about it. I need some help bringing the other infected to the examination rooms as well."
A muttered curse was heard from the other end of the line before it was hung up.
You wouldn't be surprised if this guy had an attitude problem, though you were somewhat curious about who it would be.
As if you answer your question, a moment later the door swung open revealing a boy (possibly an adult judging by his height) in an black and red organic-looking bodysuit. You could see that he had a fairly muscular build from the way his attire hugged his upper body. He also wore a silver helmet covered with dark glass, keeping his face from view.
Professor Hojo nodded to him before side stepping him and leaving the 'testing' room and closing the door behind him.
For a silent moment the two of you stared at each other, neither making a sound. You stared through half closed eyes, struggling to stay awake.
"You're much more quiet than the others... You don't even look like you want to eat me..." He muttered under his breath, not expecting you to actually understand his words. Shaking his head he moved cautiously to unlock your restraints, leaving the gag around your mouth in case you would try to bite him. Each one of his movements was slow, as if you were a wild animal that would either flee or attack him in defence if he made a sudden movement. The latter was the more probable one.
"If you weren't a monster, I'd almost feel sorry for the pitiful state you're in."
With a forceful tug, he lifted you to your feet and shoved you towards the door. It was then you noticed the strange looking weapon in his hand, shaped sort of like a black and red key. Again, probably in case you attack him. However, even if you did suddenly feel the need to eat, you were too drained of energy to even try it in the first place.
The feeling of your sudden need to eat puzzled you. It wasn't even sundown yet so why?
You were roughly pushed into a fairly wide cell. the back and side walls were made of titanium and the entrance was about two doors wide made of bullet proof glass. Exactly like a cage for an animal, perfect for being observed in.
If you weren't so weak at the moment you wouldn't have toppled over from a measly push. You didn't even try to sit up as Vanitas sealed the glass door behind him with one last glance at your pitiful form.

Footsteps alarmed Zack that someone was in the hallway as he hid around the corner in the laboratory of the ShinRa building. Slowly the ravenette peaked his head around the corner and squinted his eyes. Whoever it was had only just left and now was his chance.
Careful that his footsteps weren't too loud, he jogged to the area where you were being held like an untamed beast.
He managed to slip inside unnoticed, locking the door behind him. He was disgusted at the sight displayed before him. Hojo was keeping the infected here like monsters, and although Zack hated them for hungering for human flesh, they were all once innocent people, just victims of a deadly disease.
As he stepped up to one of the cells, he almost stepped right back as the infected sealed inside smashed its head against the window. Red grime smeared on the glass, and streaked down it at a snails pace. However this one wasn't you.
"Where are you (Name)..." Zack mumbled to himself, walking down the row of cells, looking for one in particular.
In all honesty, Zack didn't know how he would react once he found you. Would he run in and embrace you like a long lost friend, family member or lover? Or stand there in shock and see the horrid state you're in?
Zack counted the cell numbers as he walked along.
03
Zack peered in. Shock jolted through his veins as the creature and the other side of the glass head butted in the clear solid. The creature repeated this action in a crazed manner, teeth bared and mouth brought up into a animalistic snarl.
Zack stared in disgusted awe at the pale green hue of the man's eyes. His eye had no pupils, and were bloodshot, almost as if he had taken too many drugs. The ravenette was still finding it hard to believe that an infection alone could cause this, even after so many years.
"Holy Etro." He muttered recovering from the jump scare, and moved onto the next cell.
04
This time, the male prepared himself. However the female infected inside was leaned up against the wall, taking in ragged breaths and her eyes were not focused. It wasn't you though. Disheartened, Zack continued his search.
05
Cell five was empty. Zack's fists clenched unconsciously as he moved on to the next cell, fearing and hoping that it would be you.
06
Zack held his breath as he reached cell 06, gaining a funny feeling from this cell.
Slowly inching towards the glass, he looked in through the glass. All at once his muscles tensed up and his yes widened, mouth agape. There you were. Still and unmoving on the floor, muddy (h/c) locks covering your face. He knew it was you.
Both hands where pressed against the glass like a child at the zoo gawking at an animal. His knees trembled.
"(N-Name)..." He breathed. The glass fogged up slightly as he spoke your name, and as if by instinct at the word, you twitched.
If you guys know me well you should know by now how I love making trailers for my stories haha. I wasn't satisfied with the trailer for this story so I decided to make a better shorter and updated version of it. Hopefully its an improvement ;) -Rikki
P.S
Sorry for the short chapter, I'll try and make the next one longer.
