▎eriam carver, the "perfect girl" as
some had called her around hawkins.
that title always felt like it was not a
compliment. every time she heard it
being passed around in hushed tones
it felt like it was slowly burning into
her skin as if a makeshift tattoo. this
of course always caused her to hide
behind her brother's shadow, to try
and do something wrong to be rid it.
to no avail it never seemed to work.
until the day she and a younger kid
had gone missing. it struck the town
of hawkins like a wild fire, nothing
ever happened in hawkins. so when
the carver's daughter went missing
alongside the byer's boy, everything
seemed to change pace. until a odd
day came, two funerals were held
for the missing kids, their bodies in
view of family and friends. so when
the kids had shown up again, it was
as if they had returned from the dead
causing that once irritable nickname
to vanish much like she had, and a
new name found itself buried under
her skin. zombie girl. the girl who
"outlived" the grim reaper. it made
her skin crawl and she'd scratch the
surface of her skin to attempt to dig
up the name from her skin, and light
it on fire. though, she wasn't the only
one with a nickname that struck her.
eddie munson, the "freak", who did
not have the brains to graduate. the
two, however, did not get along. he
would always tease her about putting
in a good word to the grim reaper for
him. so, she'd rebuttal, and call him
a freak. this started a war, one that
would hold something dangerous in
between them. something neither of
them truly had, love.
