(A/N; Omg! It's been such a long time! >~< How is everyone??? We are extremely sorry for the late update. Both Eunji and I were busy with our own thing so we didn't have the time to update the next chapter for ZA. But don't worry because we're finally able to update! xD And we also have a new author who will be cooperating with us on this book. I thank CharlottesCookie for agreeing to help us on this project :D I love you! 😙

Taehyung's Pov

It's been 4 hours and Chanyeol and Eunji are not back yet. I mean, surely they couldn't have just vanished. They probably took the wrong turn while fighting those zombies? I don't know since I wasn't there with them at the time.

"Taehyung, can I have a minute?" -Naeun

Naeun's head peep into the cell that I was resting in. Well at least the cells have beds or we would have to sleep on the ground.

"Sure. What is it?" -Me

"Walk with me for a bit." -Naeun

She is acting kinda strange for some reason. I wonder what she wants to talk about. I follow her to wherever she is leading me to. Luckily we managed to kill every walkers in here so we're safe to roam around the place.

She bring me further away from the group and stop in front of the officer's office. I stare at her back, waiting for her to speak up.

She turn around so quick that it looked like her head was going to spin off. LOL.

"It's about Chorong." -Naeun

"What about her?" -Me

"You were right" -Naeun

"About what?" -Me

"About her keeping secrets from us." -Naeun

"What?" -Me

"I heard her talking to someone on the walkie talkie. I have no idea where she got that walkie talkie or even managed to find one. But I heard her conversation." -Naeun

I forcefully push down the saliva into my throat, preparing for what she is about to say.

"She was talking in English," -Naeun

"English?" -Me

"Yeah, with a guy. She said something like... she did her part and managed to find people to join their group. Aside from that, I have no idea what they were saying. Damn it, if only I payed attention in English class!" -Naeun

Wait... did her part? What was her part? And who are these people she was referring to? It couldn't be us, could it?

I'm getting more nervous.

"Naeun..." -Me

"Huh?" -Naeun

"Let's not tell the others about this just yet. We don't want to start another conflict," -Me

"So we're just gonna pretend that we don't know anything?" -Naeun

"Trust me on this. We don't want another trust issue going on here." -Me

".......Errr fine. Whatever." -Naeun

She roll her eyes and throw her hands up in the air before lazily walking back to the others.

Something is definitely going on with Chorong. I need to find out what it is. But before that, I need to keep my guard up.

Eunji's Pov

My head is throbbing painfully and I could feel my wrist tightened against each other by something cold.

I try to open my heavy eyelids and look around the area but my blurry vision preventing me from getting a clearer look at the place.

"Ahh, my head" -Me

I feel myself leaning on something hard and uncomfortable. My feets were touching the ground but it feels like I'm floating on air.

"Oh, you're finally awake. What great timing," A man speak, just a few distance from where I am.

He is speaking in English and thank god I listened in English class.

Even with my drowsy state, I can still hear the amusement in his tone. I don't like him already.

"Where....am I?" -Me

"You're in my territory" -Him

"Your territory?" -Me

"That's right. This is my territory and whoever step foot into my territory, will never step out alive. But there's a chance you might live," -Him

"Oh yeah? And what's what?" -Me

"Join us. Then you won't have to worry about your life being taken away from you" -Him

".......what if I say 'no'?" -Me

I can see his face now. Tall man with a tan and thick beard, his curly hair fall all over the place. His green eyes glare at me like he's about to eat me anytime soon.

"If you don't, then I will have to torture you like how I tortured your friend" -Him

His lips curve upwards as he gesture for his man to bring a certain someone into the room. The man did as he was told and brought out a guy with blood covered all over his body and his face. It seems like he was tortured.

And then my heart sink when I see who it is....

"C-Chanyeol!" -Me

He is badly beaten, he can barely stand. Seeing his beaten up body on the floor, aches my heart. Tears gather in my eyes, attempting to fall.

"We gave him a good lesson for not wanting to talk. I mean, we're giving him a chance to live.......but he's throwing it away like a piece of trash. How odd for a man whose life is in danger." -Him

"You son of a-!" I wasn't able to finish my sentence when the chain around my wrists tightens. "Ahh!!" I cry in pain.

"Now now, let's not disrespect each other, shall we?" -Him

"What do you want? Why are you doing this?"

"I told you, I want you to join us. The reason why I'm doing all this? Let's just say.... I like being in control." -Him

"Like ordering people around and having your so-called men to kill innocent lives?" -Me

"What's wrong with that? People will die anyway, it's better to die now don't you think? You might be spared from all those meat-eating zombies," -Him

"You're sick" -Me

"And you're going to die if you don't join us. Let's do this, I'll give you 2 days to think about it, after that I want an answer," -Him

"You already got your answer," -Me

He smile and said again, emphasizing the words, "Think about it."

And then he left. Bringing Chanyeol along with him. I hope they won't do anything to widen his wounds.

I sigh and lower my head. All my energy is draining before me and I have no strength left to move around and think of a way to escape. I just hope the others will come for us soon.

Guys.... please hurry....

Jimin's Pov

"It's going to be sunset soon so it'll be dangerous for us to go out and find them right now," -Kai

"Should we try looking for them tomorrow?" -Suho

"It's the only choice we've got" -Kris

All of us were gathering in one room, thinking about searching for Chanyeol and Eunji who somehow got separated from us.

"Then we'll start the search at sunrise because we might not be able to find them in a day," -Me

"How do you even know that they are still alive? They could be dead for all we know," -Jungkook

"Think positive, Jungkook. And we're talking about Chanyeol and Eunji here. Those two are like superhumans or something," -Luhan

"Yeah, unless Eunji kill him first, like what happened with Lay." -Naeun

"Would you shut the fuck up already?! You don't even know what you're saying!" -Taehyung

Our eyes roll towards Taehyung who's face have gone all red. And it looks like he knows something.

"Taehyung, do you know something that we don't?" -Me

His eyes widen at my question. Something tells me he knows an important information.

"Yeah Taehyung, do you know something? If you do, then do you mind sharing?" -Kai

"I-I..." -Taehyung

When I look to my left, I see a weird expression coming from Luhan. Does he know something too? What the hell is going on here?

"Taehyung, please.... if you know what happened between Eunji and Lay, tell us." -Chorong

Taehyung went silent. He takes a moment to breathe before looking at each of our faces.

"I overheard Eunji's and Luhan's conversation." -Taehyung

We all turn our heads towards Luhan who looks dumbfounded at what Taehyung had said.

"What did you guys talk about?" -Me

"T-that......" -Luhan

"Just tell them Luhan. It's about time they know." -Taehyung

I can see the sensation going on between Taehyung and Luhan. Something tells me that Luhan doesn't want to tell but considering the situation, he have no choice.

"She told me...... about Lay." -Luhan

"What about him?" -Jungkook

"Lay...... is not who we think he is. He....has a secret." -Luhan

"And what's this secret?" -Naeun

I can sense the anxiety coming from him. I'm sorry Luhan but we really need to know what happened.

"The cause of the virus... was all Lay's doing. He was one of those people who unleashed a deadly chemical into the air and Lay was in charge of spreading it around our school." -Luhan

"Wait, what? Are you being serious right now?!" -Kai

"You're kidding, right? Tell me you're just joking," -Jungkook

"I'm not joking. You know how tight the rivalry between China and Korea are. Apprently, Lay is the son of the Ambassador of China. The Ambassador had his son to do the job for him. Lay had no choice but to listen to his father. He didn't know the virus was this strong." -Luhan

"What the actual fuck?" -Naeun

"So all this happened because of the Ambassador of China?" -Suho

"Lay is at fault too. Because of him, my girlfriend is dead!!" -Jungkook

"Jungkook, calm down..." -Chorong

"No! That son of a bastard, I should have killed him myself." -Jungkook

Jungkook's whole face turn red, you can even see his veins popping out. I can't even describe how angry the look he is giving right now.

"You both know about this and kept it to yourself?" -Naeun

"I was planning to tell you guys soon. Just that, I made a promise to Eunji that I would keep it until the time is right." -Luhan

"And I didn't want to cause anything so I kept my mouth shut. I was waiting for either Eunji or Luhan to bring it up." -Taehyung

"And how do you guys know Eunji is not making this up? For all we know, she made this story up to cover for what she did." -Naeun

"I don't think so. I think she's telling the truth. Think about it, why would she kill Lay without a reason? He wasn't infected nor was he dying. Her story gave context to what happened. It wasn't her who killed him, Lay did it himself and it was a bad timing because Naeun appeared right at that moment. That's why we thought she killed him. She may be hot headed, but she's not a murderer." -Luhan

Silence fill the air. I have to agree with Luhan. What he said really make sense. There's no way Eunji would kill a harmless guy. Unless Lay was a threat but he wasn't.

"I believe Eunji and you guys should do the same. Look, we can stay up all night arguing about this, or we can save up our energy for tomorrow's search." -Me

Everybody nod their heads in agreement. We really need our energy for tomorrow if we're gonna find them the whole day.

We scatter away and went to do our own thing. I went up to one of the cells and lay down on the bed, thinking about the whole Lay thing and him spreading the virus.

It's true, I can't forgive him for what he did but I also understand his feelings of being forced to do something he doesn't want to do. I know Lay wouldn't do that unless his father asked him to.

"Jimin?"

I hear a voice calling for me so I lift my head up and see Naeun standing just right outside of the cell. I lift up my whole body and sit up straight, not breaking my gaze away from her.

"What is it?" -Me

"Well um.... I was wondering if ah...If I could...sit with you for a bit." -Naeun

I thought I saw her cheeks went pink.

"Make yourself at home." -Me

I joke and she chuckle a bit which is kinda cute. You know, she's pretty attractive if she don't open her big mouth. But not everything that comes out of her mouth is annoying.

She make her way towards the bed and take a seat right next to me. She is so close our arms keep bumping into each other. I pretend to clear my throat and look at the opposite the direction. She does the same.

"So um, what do you ah.... what do you think of this whole situation?" -Naeun

"What do you mean?" -Me

"The others are troubled on what to do and some of them are even afraid like those two americans. With things being like this, do you think we can survive? To be honest, I'm afraid too. I don't know what's about to happen and I'm scared of finding that out. Also......" she look at me and lock her eyes with mine, "I'm afraid of losing you."

In that moment, I can feel every part of my body tingling with a weird feeling. My heartbeat just couldn't keep calm.

She realize what she have said and cough a few times, trying hard not to meet my eyes.

"W-well, that's all w-what I wanted to say," -Naeun

She try to stand up but I pull her back down. I don't know why I did it but my body just took control of me.

"You have been keeping your distance from me these past few days. What's up with that?" -Me

The question just came out of my mouth. To be honest, it never once left my mind. I guess I got super curious.

Just as I was lost in my own thoughts, she said something that I couldn't believe it myself.

"I like you." -Naeun

She literally just blurt out those words. Am I shock? Of course I am? Am I troubled by it? Not even the slightest.

"I'm sorry, I don't know what came over me. Please forget what I said." -Naeun

She stand up again and I stop her from leaving for the second time. I grab a hold of her right arm and pull her back onto the bed until her bed landed on it.

Without thinking, I did the most craziest thing that you would do in a zombie apocalyse. I kissed her. I try to hold back but it's pointless, I can't stop myself from savoring the taste of her lips.

She froze the minute my lips touched hers but not long after, she started kissing me back.

None of us broke the kiss.
