Naeun's Pov

Trapped inside this room isn't doing us any good. We cut ourselves free but we're still trap inside here. There are 4 guys outside, guarding our room. Don't they have lunchbreak or something? Go and eat already!

"Now what? There's no way to walk past them without getting caught." -Kai

"We have another problem. Chanyeol is badly wounded. He can't even stand properly." -Luhan

"Then let us do the rest and you guys get him to safety." -Jungkook

"Where? The place is pack with armed guys." -Luhan

"You don't know that. Yet." -Jungkook

Luhan rolled his eyes at Jungkook and tried to lift Chanyeol up on his feet. I could use a joke from him right now. Man it sucks to see him like this.

"Jungkook, Eunji, Jude, Suho and Kris, we'll take out those guys outside. The rest of you, stay here until we say the coast is clear." -Jimin

The rest nodded their heads. Except for me that is. Those guys outside have guns and we have what? A katana, a baseball bat, a 5 inch blade and a rusty old knife. How are they going to help us? We'd be dead by the time you know it.

"Naeun? Naeun!"

I snapped back to reality when I heard someone calling my name. I turned my head towards the door and saw Jimin staring at me.

I want to hold him back. I want to stop him from going out there but I know how stubborn this guy is. There's no stopping him from doing what he wants to do. Can you stop being the hero for once?

"Did you hear what I said?" -Jimin

"Huh?" -Me

"Stay here and take care of the rest for me. I'll be back as soon as I can." -Jimin

He smiled and turned his head but I grabbed a hold of his hand which he immediately looked my way.

"Promise me.... promise me that you will come back. Promise me!" -Me

I tightened my grip onto his hand without breaking our gazes. He was shocked at first but he went back to normal after that.

He smiled once again and gently pulled my body against him and rested my head on his chest, caressing my back like a mother would when her child is in pain.

"I promise I'll come back to you. You can count on it." -Jimin

Hearing him say that assured me a bit. I know Jimin will keep his promise. I believe him in. I broke our hugs and give him a peck on the lips. I know the others are staring but who give a fuck?

"Be careful out there." -Me

"I will." -Jimin

Once we were done with our little drama, Jimin and the others carefully slipped out of the room but before they did, the two guys who were guarding outside were easily slit on their throats by Jimin and Jungkook (Jikook moment here! *throws confetties* okay ignore me 😒)

As the guys were busy killing the rest outside, the rest of us in here were getting ready to move. Luhan and Taehyung both had Chanyeol's arms on each sides as they lift him from the ground.

It was awfully quiet outside which gives us the more reason to fear for our lives and for the ones out there who were fighting for us.

"Jimin ah....hurry....jebal...." I said to myself. My legs couldn't stop shaking as I thought of his safety.

Will he get shot? Stab? Or survive? I have no idea so I'm afraid of the outcome.

After a few minutes of waiting, someone suddenly entered the room. Since we had our guards up, all of us pointed our weapons directly at that person.

"Woah woah! Easy! It's only me!" Relieved took over when we saw it was only Jude.

"Where are the others?" -Me

"They are waiting for us at the other side. We better get moving." -Jude

We did as we instructed. Maybe this Jude guy isn't as useless as we thought he was. Like the saying goes; never judge a book by its cover.

So we rushed out of the room and followed Jude who led us into another room. We saw bodies on the floor as we walked past them. The enemies. Good thing those guys know how to fight.

We went into the room Jude led us to and saw Jimin and the others already in there, waiting for us. My heart was relieved to see him safe and sound. I wanted to run and hug him but I know this is not the same to do that.

"This door leads to the outside but there are several armed men out there so there's no way for us to escape." -Jimin

"So what should we do now? If we can't get past them, then how on earth do we escape from this place?" -Jungkook

"I dont know but the only thing I could think of is drawing attention." -Jimin

"What do you mean?" -Me

3 of us will act as the bait while the others take that time to escape." -Jimin

"Are you crazy? What if the other 3 are killed?" -Luhan

"That's why I'm asking not forcing. I'll be one of the bait and the other two....well, I'll let you guys decide." -Jimin

"No no no no.... I wont let you do that. You'll get yourself killed!" -Me

"I know but we dont have a choice." -Jimin

"But why you?!" Tears dwelled up in my eyes.

"Because I'm not afraid to die." He simply said. His eyes soften as he saw my tears. His hand reached out towards my face and wiped away the tears. "I'm sorry it has to be this way but it's the only way to save the rest of you."

The others went quiet including me. My mind was all over the place. I couldn't think straight. That was until someone spoke up.

"I'll do it. I'll be one of the bait." -Suho

"Wait, Suho...." -Kris

"Like Jimin just said, if this could save the lives of many, then I am willing to give up mine just for the sake of it." -Suho

"In that case, I'll come with you." -Kris

"Are you sure, Kris?" -Suho

"There's nothing left for me in this world. Now that my wife and son are gone." -Kris

All of us went quiet again. I understand Kris's situation to sacrifice himself and I'm not sure about the reason why Suho wants to be the bait but I don't understand why Jimin have to do it too. For the sake of our lives? Then what about your life, you stupid idiot!!

"So it's settled then. When are we doing this?" -Luhan

"When I give the signal, run as fast as you can and don't look back." -Jimin

"Jimin...." I gripped onto his shirt, my heart was pounding like crazy. I don't want to lose him. Why is this happening.

Since when have Jimin become so important in my life?

"I better see your ugly face again soon. If I dont, I'll haunt you for the rest of your life when I die."

The side of his lips went upwards, never looking away from me, "Deal."

"Okay, are you guys ready?" -Jungkook

Our grips on the weapons tighten, anxious and nervousness were shown in our eyes. Well, here goes nothing.

Taehyung's Pov

I had Chanyeol's left arm wrapped around my neck and his right arm wrapped around Jungkook's neck. We carried him away from the place we were locked in as far as we could.

Luhan and the two americans were walking in front of us and the others were behind us. As for Jimin, Suho and Kris..... I hope they'll make it out alive.

After a couple of minutes walking, we came across and train tracks leading to somewhere.

"Lets stop for a minute. We could use a break." -Luhan

We nodded our heads and sat on the ground full of stones. Jungkook and I carefully placed Chanyeol on the floor since he still couldn't move.

"This track might lead us to somewhere." -Kai

"The question is, 'where'? Who knows what will await us at the end." -Jungkook

"If you dont find out then how would you know?" -Eunji

"Hey, I just dont want us to lose anyone else, alright?" -Jungkook

"We'd be dead either way if we just sit around here. If the 3 of them dont make it out alive then those people are probably coming after us." -Eunji

"Oh would you shut the fuck up? They will survive and they will find us. We'll reunite with them sooner than you know it. So dont act like you dont give a shit because we all know you dont." -Naeun

Silence filled the air as we stared at the two girls glaring at each other like they are about to murder someone-

"Okay guys, calm down. We dont want to cause riots over this small matter and get us all killed." -Me

I somehow managed to get them to back away from each other. They took a sit further away from one another and stared out in the distance.

"Let's just pray we'll see them soon. For now, we better get moving. Sun is going down." -Kai

Kai was right. It was getting pretty late so we had to get moving before dark out.

We got our things and followed the tracks that could be leading us to somewhere.

Jungkook's Pov

As we were walking along the tracks, images of Chorong kept popping in my head. We're in this mess because of her and I know I should be angry at her and blame her for it but.... I cant help but feel... worried about her.

Whether she was safe or she was found out for helping us escape. I really dont know.

I'm not saying I have feelings for her or anything... I mean... I just lost Suzy and all.....

Suzy....

I felt a thousand daggers just pierced through my heart. Suzy and I have been together for over a year and we were supposed to be celebrating her birthday after school ends that day, but who would have thought something like this would happen.

I'm sorry for not being able to protect you, Suzy.... please forgive me....

"Guys, I see something." -Naeun

We stopped walking and looked ahead of us.

"Is that a building?" -Naeun

"Is it a camp?" -Taehyung

"Could be" -Luhan

Two lights flickered in our direction. I guess they noticed our presence. But we're not the only ones they've noticed.

Several zombies suddenly came out of no where. From both sides, behind us and in front of us. We're surrounded.

"Oh shit! Oh shit oh shit!" -Kai

"Keep your guards up!" -Naeun

"Run to the camp!" -Luhan

We killed past every zombies that were in our way. There were two people from the camp shouting real loud for us to be able to hear. They were telling us to hurry up and go through the gate. Thankfully they helped us killed those zombies with their guns.

"Hurry up!" I said as I shove a knife down the zombies's brain. We sped up as we were about to reach the gate but then one of the american tripped and fell.

"Luis!!"

I looked behind to see Luis on his knees, wanting to get up. I stopped at my track and tried to go back and help him but 2 zombies already got to him before I could.

"Argg!! J-Jude! H-help me!!" Luis cried in pain as he was ripped apart and eaten by those flesh eating zombies.

"Nooo!!! Get away from him!!" -Jude

"Jude, no-!" I attempted to pull him back since I was closest to them.

Jude aimed his gun at the zombies on top of Luis but luck was not on his side. He ran out of bullets and thats when a zombie came onto him from behind and started biting on his flesh.

His screams echoed throughout the street but there was nothing I could do. I couldn't save them eventhough I was closest to them.

Watching them being eaten alive right in front of me, made me feel nauseous. My body wouldn't move, like I was being paralyzed.

"Jungkook!! Jungkook!!"

Someome grabbed my arm, turning my head to face that person, Eunji's worried face appeared before me. In that moment, I could have sworn I saw beautiful sparks coming from her.

"Snap out of it! We have to go!" She pulled me even harder this time which made me snapped out of my trance and realized the situation we were in.

My eyes grew bigger and immediately I took the lead as I quickly pulled her along and ran towards the gate until we made it to the other side.

The two who were in charged of the gate quickly closed it so no zombies would be able to enter.

As they were closing the gate, I still could see in the far distance, Jude and Luis being eaten by the zombies.

And I was hopeless.... for not being able to save them.
