Eunji's POV

As soon as I stepped into the hut, I was attacked by a crying girl.
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry." She cried, tightening her hold around my waist. "I didn't have much choice," she sobbed, "th-they had my sister... I didn't mean to put you guys in the situation. I'm sorry."

I looked around the small room serving as the living room, scanning the faces of my friends and the new girl I have yet to know. They obviously pitied her, and I'm not going to lie that I wasn't too. She did saved us, but something wasn't right.

I awkwardly pat her back in a way which I hope was comforting.

"It's okay, you helped us in the end."

Her hard sobbing resulting her to hiccup. "B-but it's still horrible. You were hurt."

"I was." I said, pulling her off gently. "But now you are. You have to sit, I can practically feel you shaking."

I sat her down on one of the small chair and the new girl quickly went to her side, tending her bruises and wounds. I raised my eyes on a question and she get the sign.

"I'm Seulgi." She smiled. "Im a student, if you're wondering what a Korean doing here."

I nodded in acknowledge. "I'm Eunji, and those idiots are Kai, Jungkook and Luhan." I rolled my eyes when the boys glared at me. But to be honest, I was only trying to make things less awkward between us. Keyword, trying.

"But what happened to you? How can you meet?" I asked, switching my gaze to Suho, Jimin, Chorong and the new girl, Seulgi.

Seulgi opened her mouth but Jimin beat her to it. "Well, we sorta found each other." He motioned to himself, Suho and to Seulgi. Suho automatically gave him the dagger eyes, but Jimin didn't notice, I did though.

"But I don't know what happen to Chorong. We found her fighting a zombie by herself." He added and all of our gazes fell on the badly wounded girl.

She was the epitome of a victimised person; her hair was all over the place, and her red-rimmed eyes were puffy because of crying, yet I knew the black circle near her temple wasn't because of it. She had cuts on her lips and her cheeks, also her clothes were torn. I had a bad feeling over this, a really bad one.

And when I get this uncomfortable feeling, it is always bad.

Chorong bit her bottom lip to calm herself, and when she did, she raised her eyes. I could see the determination in them, they were burning like hot coals - but I also sensed some deep sadness within them, something that will haunt her forever.

"My sister - she's... she is dead." My eyes widened and the others mimicked my reaction. Seulgi slapped a hand over her mouth in surprise.

Chorong then added, "- murdered by the very person who wounded you, and now he's coming to finish off his job."

Taehyung's POV

"You fucking bastard!" Naeun screamed, tears were running down her cheeks in fast pace. "You fucking sick bastard!"

I tightened my grip on her as she struggled under my grip. Damn this girl was strong!

"Fucking let me go, Taehyung! I'm gonna rip these assholes to pieces!" She yelled.

"Naeun please." I said, my eyes stung because of the tears that I let go. Even the manliest guy would cry, when a friend is sacrificed.

Naeun stopped screaming but she was still struggling. The guy who threw Chanyeol into the pit of grave was snickering at us, as were his friends. But the other people who formed a circle around us looked at us with pity. I knew it wasn't their fault that their leader was an idiot of a person. They didn't know what to do, they just wanted to survive in this apocalypse. This method was beyond crazy, but what can I say? The person who was behind it was a lunatic too.

Speaking of the devil, he took a few steps toward us and I quickly pushed Naeun to my back.

"You should be thankful it wasn't you instead, princess." He mocked, and raked a hand into his hand. "Ahh, the zombies will have their fill and i will have my army. Its just a matter of time."

I was really disgusted by this guy. "You're stupid. You are just another meat to the zombies. They will not follow your order."

He shrugged and chuckled. "Oh, who said I'm going to order them? They know which to eat anyway, because I will give them the food." He raised his eyebrow at me and grinned maniacally. "Or should I throw you outside next?"

He clapped. "I should! In due time, it should keep them full until your friends come back."

I could feel Naeun shudder behind me. She fisted my shirt on my back and pulled me to her like she was afraid of losing me again. I held on her other hand tightly.

"It's you who are gonna get eaten, asshole!" She yelled and Minggyu simply laughed.

"After you princess." He said, and motioned to his people to get to us. I tried covering Naeun, but there were a lot of them. She was torn away from me and I yelled at them to let her go. She was crying and screaming at the same time as she was pulled away from me. I struggled even more, thinking of the words Chanyeol hyung said to me before he was thrown outside to his death.

Please take care of her. I'm counting on you.

I felt a prick on my neck, and the last thing I remember was seeing them drag Naeun away from me and the sound of the thudding beat in my ears before I fell into oblivion.

Kai's POV

After gathering a few supplies, we were back on the move, now with the addition of Jimin's team. Seulgi joined too, as she said 'it gets a little lonely by herself' but I doubted it. Like I can't sense if someone's in love. It was exactly like what I've seen before.

Jungkook and Seulgi was chatting animatedly, and i wonder how could he act like nothing happened between Eunji and him. Was he only trying to kiss her out of fun? If yes, I will hit the sense out of him.

My eyes trailed at the girl who was walking alone. She was behind Suho and Jimin who stayed at each of Chorong's side. They wanted her to rest and continue the journey the next morning, but she  insisted. Whatever happened to her, I feel bad for her. Watching her sister being murdered and nearly get eaten by zombies, man, she's tough.

Back to the girl I was talking about, Eunji was high alert on her surroundings. She twirled her head around to see if we have any incoming threats, but I noticed the lingering gaze she had on the guy who walked a bit far from us.

Then she stopped, making me stop a few steps behind her too. She rolled her shoulder and switched the bag of supplies onto her other hand. I figured that she must be tired, after all, she always took the lead of protecting the group no matter where we were, and it was just normal that she got tired holding a bag of supplies. I took it as an advantage and ran to her. I grabbed the bag and she let it go in surprise. She turned at me and sighed.

"God, Kai. You almost give me a heart attack. Sneak up on me like that again and I will kill you."

I grinned at her. "Well I got you, didn't I?"

She rolled her eyes. I found it extremely cute. Actually everything about her was cute.

"No, I thought you were something else."

"Eyy, c'mon. Just admit it, you were scared. Its ok, just admit it, I won't laugh, I promise." My grin widened when she grunted in annoyance.

"Shut up Kai, I'm not scared." She snapped at me.

"Oh yes you do!" I cooed, leaning to her and laughed when she pulled away, face as bright as a tomato.

"Relax I'm not going to kiss you. Well not until you want me to." I said casually and she stopped walking. I walked a few steps before I noticed she wasn't beside me.

"Don't joke like that." She whispered, her eyebrows scrunched up together as she stared at me with those eyes...

"I wasn't." I answered truthfully. She bit on her bottom lip and I sighed. "Which one?"

She blinked. "Huh?"

"Jungkook or Luhan? Oh I'm betting it's Jungkook right?" I said almost spitefully. That kid was always popular even at school, so I wasn't surprised if Eunji was attracted to him too.

Her mouth opened in shock. "What? No!"

I was surprised as well. "Wow, I thought you liked him too."

She huffed and continued walking. I ran after her and fell in step beside her. "Ew no."

I smiled. "Then who is it? Is it him?"

She glanced to the guy who seemed to notice our little chit chat. He frowned and turned around, shaking his head. Eunji bit her lip and took a breath.

"No one." She answered harshly.

It broke my heart seeing her like this. I wasn't sure why she acted like she didn't like him at all when her face was an open book. It pained me, but I know, if I were to step between them, I will make things even worse. The world might have been thrown over by the walking dead, but it doesn't mean she couldn't have the luxury of liking, or even loving someone right?

I darted my eyes to Luhan who was walking like an automated robot, Jungkook and Seulgi was now beside him, trying to get him to talk with them but he only replied with nods and whatnot.

"It's okay Eunji. I know you like him, you can't fool me." I said and she looked away. "Dont worry about me, we are still friends right? And what are friends for? They hoped for each other's happiness."

When I finished my little speech, she looked at me, her eyes glimmered with unshed tears. I doubt she will let it go, because I know she wanted to appear hard and strong, even though it means bottling up her feelings.

"Thank you." She said in the littlest of voice. "I hope it's not too late. But I wanted to thank you for saving me... during our first meeting."

I smiled.

Luhan's POV

Damn that hurt.

She was really good with people, I have to admit that. First she got Kai confessing to her, and then Jungkook tried to kiss her. I thought she was fine with either of them, but why does she pushed me away?

The sound of her laughter rang though my ears. I really want to yell and ask them to stop chatting right now, I can always say that it can attract unwanted attention, but the area was deserted.

I gathered my fists and clenched my jaw, I didn't even notice I was doing it until Seulgi mentioned it.

"Luhan, you look tense, what's wrong?" She asked and I know they heard it too as Eunji abruptly stopped laughing. I didn't want her to stop, it was rare that I ever see her smile let alone hear her laugh, she was always dead serious. But i dont want her to laugh because of Kai.

"Nothing." I answered gruffly.

"Oh there's a gate!" A girly shriek was heard beside us. Chorong let out a squeal.

"Yeah, we're here." I said glumly, walking even faster toward the gate. The person guarding the gate must've seen us from the distance as the big gate opened before us. But I knew bad luck was waiting for us when we saw the faces of the people who popped out from behind the gate.
My heart beat erratically as I ran the remaining distance.

"What? What's wrong? Where are my friends?" I bombarded the guy with questions, I think his name was Minggyu.

Minggyu shared a look with Eunwoo before he shook his head sadly.

"They're dead."
