(A/N; Wassup guys! It's been so long 😄 Sorry it took quite a long time for me to update the new chapter. I was really busy with stuff haha. So here it is, the final chapter of the book. Hope you'll like it :D)

Jimin's Pov

"Go go!" I said as the 3 of us run from the hoard of zombies that are quickly catching up to us.

"Oh shit! How can we out run them!?" Naeun said as she looks around us. Zombies coming from every direction completely surrounding us. The only clear path is forward but there's no where to go or where torb hide from them.

"Jimin I don't think we're going to make it." -Naeun

"Have a little faith, babe." -Me

"I'm running out of faith here babe." Naeun says sarcastically.

"There! Up ahead! We can climb up that gate." -Taehyung

"But the gate is too high for us to make it. Not with this distance between us and the zombies." -Naeun

"I see a dumpster up ahead. We can use that to climb over. We'll make it, trust me." -Taehyung

"I don't know about this..." -Naeun

Taehyung quickly run ahead of us giving us time to climb the dumpster that he was pulling by himself stopping in front of the gate.

"Guys, c'mon!" Says Taehyung before climbing up the dumpster and climbing over to the other side of the gate.

The zombies are right behind me. If I even slip or fall, I'll be zombie food in an instant. Naeun and I manage to reach the dumpster. I help her up since the height of the dumpster is half her size. While waiting for her to climb over the gate, I notice there are more zombies coming from the two buildings that were next to us. Taehyung notice the problem and anxiously shout at Naeun to hurry up.

"Shxt... Naeun, hurry your ass over!" -Taehyung

Sensing the anxious tone coming from Taehyung, Naeun looks behind turning wide-eyes at the total number of zombies coming at us. 

I turn around and get my gun ready to shoot at any zombies that comes near us. "Naeun, if you don't hurry up and get your ass over that gate, we'll be zombie food." I snap her out of the fear that is slowly creeping up in her. She has a hard time climbing up so I give her a light push.

She quickly makes her way over to the other side of gate with the help of Taehyung while I continuously shoot the zombies one after the other.

"Babe, hurry up and climb!" Says Naeun when she sees I have yet to get my ass up on that dumpster. After killing yet another one of the zombie, I quickly turn around and lift myself up the dumpster but luck was not on my side as one of my leg slip, making it harder for me to push myself up and as I look at that dreadful expression on Naeun's face, I knew my time had come.

Author's Pov

Naeun stood frozen, unable to bring the words out that lingered at the tip of her tongue, her eyes filled with tears....tears from which she had shed from looking at the painful scene in front of her.

A scene where she tried over and over again to not make it come true....

A scene where she purposely overlooked the possibility of it becoming real.

But reality struck her yet again after she heard her name and a short message that comes with it.

"Naeun... Please survive...promise me that you will survive...." He said as his pale skin torn from his flesh  but still managed to say the words that he had always and forever wished to say to her, "....I love you."

Then came a bang.

Naeun's Pov

I watch as the nightmare before me turns reality. Pain, broken, anger, numbness all hit me at once. It was too much, I couldn't bear to handle.

"Jimin...." My voice crack as I call his name, fearing that I may never get to say it again. Tears form in my eyes threatening to fall. All the energy from my body just suddenly wash away and the only thing that still keeps me balance on my feet is the horrid scene in front of me.

".....I love you." The gun in his hand pointing at his temple and these were his last words before he pulled the trigger.

I flinch at the sound it makes, turning wide-eyes as I look at Jimin's body drop to the floor giving the zombies a chance to feast on.

My body feels really heavy as I try to make my way closer to the gate, "No....no.... Jimin..." I can hear my own heart breaking to pieces but I don't stop.

All I want right now is to go over the other side of this bloody gate and get my man back.

"Jimin.....Jimin!" -Me

"Naeun, we have to go. We have to go!" Taehyung grab my arms, pulling along but I try so hard to resist just so I can see his face one more time. One last time.

"No....no! I have to get to him! Jimin!!" I shout at the top of my lungs. The pain of losing someone is unbearable. I can't accept this.... no, I don't want to accept this!

"He's gone! There's nothing we can do!" I can hear the sadness in Taehyung's voice but he's trying to remain strong and I know it's for both of our sake. I know that but still.... I can't...

"No!!" I shout again but Taehyung never stop pulling me, eventually I had to follow him and when my legs give away, he help me to keep my balance but my eyes still wander back at where Jimin lies---

Jimin.... Jimin....no....

(30 minutes later)

Taehyung's Pov

We walked. And walked. There wasn't any time for us to stop for anything. The military base that we heard from the radio are giving shelters to anybody who comes. That's where Naeun and I are heading to.

We both haven't spoken a word since we left....Jimin there. I know she's broken inside but I can see she's hanging in there.

That goes for me too. Jimin was a good guy, a natural born leader. If it wasn't for him, we wouldn't have survived this long.

I'm gonna miss him. A lot.

I look behind me to see how Naeun is doing and sure enough she had bags under her swollen eyes from crying too much. I fumble with the right words to say to her, "Are you okay?"

She didn't say anything. In fact, she hasn't reacted to anything I say at all. It's like her mind is somewhere far away and it hurts to see her like this.

After Chanyeol, I was sure we wouldn't lose someone so close to her again but then Jimin, the person she loved and cared for the most out of all of us, died just like that. Faith is really cruel.

"So uh... It'll probably take us 20 minutes more to get there." -Me

Sure enough, she doesn't respond but she nod her head this time.

Even though she didn't bother to reply but even that small gesture was enough to put a smile on my face. At least she didn't ignore me completely.

After walking for a couple of minutes more, we come across a run-down bus stop and next to it is a big rock and since we couldn't rest at the bus stop we decided to rest near the rock.

"Here, why don't you sit down and rest for a bit," I usher Naeun to take a sit on the rock and she immediately does while panting heavily probably exhausted from all the walking.

I give her the last drop of water that we we're saving up for the long walk but since we're getting close to the base, I might as well give her the last drop.

She lets out a sigh after drinking and goes back to staring into space not that I mind after everything that she's been through. While thinking this, I notice her ankle is starting to swollen.

"Let me see that."

She pulls back immediately, obviously shock that I suddenly touch her feet but I pay no mind as the only thing on my mind right now is her swollen ankle.

"Please...let me see," I plead hoping she would give me permission to touch her.

After what seem like forever, she slowly lift her feet next to my face (I'm kneeling down btw) which I flinch a little cuz I thought she was gonna kick me or something.

Carefully, I take off her shoe and examine the swollen ankle, "It's pretty bad. Think you can hold on till' we get there?"

"I can manage." She answers without bothering to look at me. All I could do was sigh and slide the shoe back onto her feet and stand up, lifting her up with me.

"We're almost there..." -Me

"...." -Naeun

Without wasting anymore time, we continue the walk to the military base.

With that swollen ankle, I feel like carrying Naeun on my back but considering how stubborn she is, she probably won't allow it so all I could do to support her is wrapping my arms around her and helping her to walk.

She doesn't seem to mind.

(18 minutes later)

We've finally arrived at the military base. Soldiers were running around everywhere and somehow too busy to notice our arrival.

After standing here for what seem like 5 minutes, one of them suddenly notice us. He run up to us with a gun at his side.

"Just the two of you?" -Him

".....Yes." I answer.

He look from me to Naeun who was staring at the ground the whole time before giving us a smile and a nod.

"You must be hungry from the long walk. Come with me..." He usher us to follow him. I was about to follow when Naeun stop me.

"Are we going to stay here from now on?" -Naeun

I stare at her for a few seconds and I can see it in her eyes that she's afraid. Afraid of what's going to happen from here on out....

I smile reassuringly, "Yes and no matter what happens, I'll always be here to look after you."

She stare at me for a moment before finally putting on a smile as she said, "Okay."

No matter what happens, I'm going to protect her with my life.

There's no one left but me to keep us both safe...to keep her safe and I'm going to do everything I can to see to it that Naeun won't ever have to lose anyone she cares about ever again.

This is what you want, right? Park Jimin....

I promise I'll look after her so you just rest in peace mate.

I smile to myself as I look up at the sky. I didn't realize Naeun was staring at me, confused.

"Taehyung?" -Naeun

I finally snap out of it and look at her before flashing a smile once more.

"It's nothing, let's go. He's waiting for us." -Me

She nod her head with a small smile on her face. I grab her hands and walk towards the soldier guy who has been standing there, waiting for us.

Whatever awaits us in the future......I have no idea.

I'm sorry it's kinda short >.< I had to crack my head open to come up with ideas for the plot 😂

Anyway, this is the last chapter for the book! Hurray! Finally it has come to an end after so long. I'm sorry if you don't really like the ending :/

Also, there will be epilogue coming soon so wait for it! 😄
