Jungkook's POV

I noticed the atmosphere around us wasn't pleasant. After we lost Baekhyun, our minds just wondered off to a different world. A world where this life has become our reality. No more fun. No more jokes and no more playing around. This was the real deal and we're all finally able to see that.

I am not really worried about Chanyeol because I can see he is taking it really well. Even when his best friend died, he still managed to stay strong and not lose hope. Unlike me.

Who I am most worried about is Lay. He is different compared to Chanyeol. He doesn't seem to be taking it so well. I mean, he did watched his best friend died in front of his very eyes. But Chanyeol seem to have no problem with it. Plus, Lay is flying a plane. In other words, he is our pilot. If things start to go wrong because of him, we might not be able to make it to New York.

"Here"

A chocolate bar was offered to me. I turned my head to the left where I found Chorong offering me a choco bar. She had a small smile plastered on her face. Probably having a hard time too. I took the chocolate from her and returned the smile, "Thanks"

"What do you think is in New York?" -Chorong

"What do you mean?" -Me

"Do you really think we're safe there?" -Chorong

I took a moment to respond. To be honest, I don't know what's waiting for us out there myself. But I trust Chanyeol on this one. If he says there are shelters there, then I believe him.

"I don't know. But I am wiling to see. Are you?" -Me

She stared at me for a while before electrifying me with her angelic smile. "I am" she said.

Now what the hell was that?

Kai's POV

"Okay guys, we're here"

I woke up to the alarm of someone's voice. When I was fully awake, I realised it was Chanyeol who was waking us.

"We're almost there. We need to prepare" -Chanyeol

What? We're here already? I checked the watch only to be hit by a time that read 2:34a.m. We have been sleeping for hours??? No wonder Jimin is walking like an old lady. Back pain probably and I think I have one too. Better keep it to myself. Shussh.

"How long have we been sleeping?" -Naeun

"Almost 5 hours" -Chanyeol

"And you didn't sleep?" -Luhan

"I did but only for half an hour. I couldn't sleep" -Chanyeol

It's probably because of what happened to Baekhyun. I guess he's not as strong as I claimed him to be.

"Anyways, the airport is just right around the corner. Gather up your belong-" -Chanyeol

He wasn't able to finish his sentence when suddenly the plane started shaking.

"Woah! What the hell is going on!?" -V

"Everybody, hang on!!" -Me

We managed to take our seats and put on our seatbelts. This is seriously not happening. Are we having a-

"Planecrash!!" -V

"KIM TAEHYUNG!!" All of us shouted which made him shut up right away. We're not really please to hear the word 'planecrash' right now.

"Lay!!" -Chanyeol

"We're having a fuel problem!" -Lay

"Oh you have got to be fucking kidding me!? Who was the stupido who didn't check the fuel!?" -Me

"YOU!!" -Everyone

"W-wha?" Oh wait, come to think of it. I was the one incharge of the fuel part. Maybe I had an illusion that made it looked as though we had enough fuel.

"My bad!" -Me

"KAI!!!" -Everyone

"Stop shouting! We're about to crash!!" -Me

"YAH!!!" -Everyone

•20 minutes later•

"Next time, remind me not to leave you incharge with the fuel" -Eunji

"I told you I was sorry" -Me

"A simple 'sorry' doesn't make up for what you did. Lay had a serious injury. It was a good thing his leg wasn't chop off" -Naeun

"Well we survived, didn't we?" -Me

"I'm fine guys. Let's just keep walking" -Lay

"You heard the man" -Me

Chorong's POV

We barely made it back then. I guess 2 years of training did paid off. It was some seriously landing we had. Some parts of the plane were broken but it was a good thing we weren't hurt. Except for Lay. His leg almost chopped off when we landed. The head of the airplane broke off from it's body. Meaning Lay was separated from us but it was a miracle he survived. Although he injured his leg.

He can still walk but he need atleast 2 person to guide him and that 2 person happened to be Jimin and Chanyeol. I hope he didn't fractured any bones.

Anyways, right now we are making our way out of the airport. Luck must be on our side. There weren't any zombies lurking around but we need to stand watch at all times. Can zombies ambushed too?

"Let's take a rest here. We need to find bandages for Lay's leg" -Naeun

Naeun stated as we stopped in front of a pharmacy. A bench was sitting 5 feet away from it so we laid Lay down on the bench and started searching for the first aid kit.

Chanyeol and Jimin stand guard as we trash the pharmacy for useful antidotes and such.

"I got the first aid kit!" -Kai

"Let's grab more useful stuff and get out of here" -V

When we were almost done, we heard screaming coming from outside so we ditched everything and rushed to the scene. Chanyeol was fighting the group of zombies while Jimin was pulling Lay who was now on the ground away from the hungry zombies.

"Help me!" -Lay

The zombies were pulling his legs while Jimin was pulling his hands. These zombies are one of a kind.

We killed every zombies that surrounded us and made our way to Lay but before we could do that, we were stopped by another pack of zombies. Seems like Jimin have to do whatever it takes to save Lay.

"Hang on buddie!" -Jimin

"My legs! It feels like it's about to rip off!" -Lay

"Stay with me!" -Jimin

I looked at their direction and I notice Jungkook looking at them too. I guess we're both worried. But the moment I saw a zombie behind him, I dashed to his rescue and grabbed him away stabbing the zombie in it's head.

"Thanks..." -Jungkook

"Keep your eyes open" -Chorong

"I was" -Jungkook

"Well you weren't paying attention" -Chorong

"Sorry" -Jungkook

I turned my head over to Jimin and Lay again and to my relieved, Jimin managed to save him. He killed off the zombies who tried to eat Lay without mercy. I'm guessing he's in his angry mode right now.

After fighting for I don't know how long, we continued on with our journey. Chanyeol and Jimin helped Lay walk who was more injured than before. We need to find a place to settle in.

Naeun's POV

We made our way out of the airport and headed for the abandoned vehicles. They could come in handy. But the problem is none of the cars had their keys. So there was only one way to do this.

"Anybody knows how to hotwire a car?" -Me

"You wish" -Kai

"I got no experience so don't look at mua" -V

"Jimin?" -Me

"I've never done it before-" -Jimin

"Useless" -Me

"But I didn't say I won't do it!" -Jimin

I smirked at his words. What can I say? I'm good when it comes to convincing. But let's just hope that he DOES know what he's doing.

"Let me give it a try" -Jimin

"We need to hurry though. They might smell us" -Chanyeol

"Let him do his job" -Me

Several minutes later (thank god) the car finally started. But now we need to hotwire another one since one car doesn't fit us all. Great, another minutes wasted.

"Done!" -Jimin

"Finally!" -V

"Let's get moving" -Luhan

We helped Lay into the car before we got into the car ourselves. I got into the same car with Jimin, Eunji, Lay and Chanyeol. The other car had Chorong,Jungkook,V, Luhan and Kai.

Jimin and Kai became the driver for us. Good thing they know how to drive. I am not ready for my death yet.

"According to the map, one of the shelter is 4 kilometers away from where we are" -Chanyeol

"How long do you think that'll take?" -Eunji

"Probably for 2 or 3 hours" -Chanyeol

"Then I guess we shouldn't stop for anything" -Jimin

"Yeah" -Chanyeol

Chanyeol's POV

After that conversation, I looked at Lay to see if he's okay. Well it's good that he's hanging in there but I don't know how long that'll last. We managed to clean his wound and wrapped bandages around his leg but that couldn't stop the pain he is suffering right now.

I lost one of my best friend just like that. I can't afford to lose him too. Why is this happening to us? What is the caused to this? WHAT?
