Chapter 7: Mission 3, "Circus"
NEW CHARACTERS WILL BE INTRODUCED IN THIS CHAPTER!!!
Yes, I realize that we skipped Chapter 6, but that is just Moon and Ursa chatting so I went on ahead to what you guys are probably more interested in and I'll publish that one later 'cause I've got a mixed way of thinking.
Now, on to the story.
-----------------------------------------
Nobody POV
The circus had finally arrived in town.
"It's time," Ursa announced. "Aquarius, Aries, Taurus, and Scorpio, this will be your mission. I've sent four people because unlike the other times the Sagittarius is hiding in a circus where people are naturally wild, so it'll be hard to spot an ability user from a normal person just using magic tricks. There's also a chance there'll be assassins waiting for you, since we've run into them some past times. Capricorn, Cancer, keep watch overhead and gather information. Virgo, Gemini, Libra, and Leo, you're backup. And Pisces, are the smoke bombs planted?"
"Yes!" She'd snuck in and planted several miniature harmless smoke bombs in case they needed a quick escape.
"Great. Now, go in and make me proud!"
-----------------------------------
"So, why exactly are dressed like this?" Aquarius complained. "It's suffocating!" He was wearing a white golden-embroidered prince's cosplay outfit.
The zodiacs were sitting in the circus tent among the other specatators, which was practically the entire town, in the middle-ish seats. It was 6:50 p.m., and the show would be starting in ten minutes.
Aries sighed. "I already told you, all the people attended are expected to wear some costume or unusual outfit or another! So stop complaining!" Aries was wearing an outfit that looked like a cross between a pirate costume, a gang getup, and punk rock with flame-lined eyes and bright red lips.
"Yeah, but how come Taurus gets to wear a normal outfit?!" Aquarius protested, gesturing towards the quiet and stoic Taurus, who was wearing black robes with silver edges that touched the ground and had long sleeves.
"That's 'cause his long hair is already unusual," Aries said, rolling her eyes. "The ticket manager took one look at his hair and admitted him."
"Um," Scorpio piped up, "I don't understand why I'm dressed as a rabbit girl..." Scorpio was wearing a maid costume and had tall attached rabbit ears. Her hair was done in two pigtails.
"You're cute, that's why," Aries said affectionately, patting her head.
Aquarius let out loud sigh. "Damn. I was hoping to force Taurus to wear something cute."
"Scorpio looks better in a cute outfit anyway," Taurus said.
Sitting in another area of the tent, a trio was arguing. "Why isn't Auntie back with the popcorn yet?" Miu, age 12, whined. She was dressed in a panda suit.
A tired blonde, 15, dressing up in a king and superhero cross outfit, tried to calm her down. "Miu, Geika will be back soon. Just wait."
A third member, a large and towering male with a well-built body and close-cropped gray hair, sighed. "Argh, just give it up, Wang. Should I just go and do it myself?" He was dressed as a gangster, which, giving his many silver piercings and backwards cap, suited him nicely.
"No!" Wang snapped. "It took me forever to get these seats and I am not giving them up."
The fourth, a girl with pinkish-red eyes and long black hair, rolled her eyes. "Excuse me, we also chipped in." She was dressed up as a large pink flower.
"Yeah, yeah, Yeon." Yeon, age 16, responded to Wang's sarcasm with a shove.
"I'm back!" Geika, age 20, pushed through the crowds and took a seat, winded. In her arms was a giant tub of popcorn, which she gave to Miu. She was a rather plain girl, with shoulder-length hair and a rather petite frame. Large, round glasses perched on her face, hiding her eyes, and she was dressed in a pink blazer and skirt. (as an educator)
"Just in time," Wang said in relief.
"Here you go, Akane," Geika said, handing a lollipop to Akane.
Miu started happily gobbling away at the popcorn.
Then, the lights dimmed, and the show began.
First, they started off with some entertainment-clowns acting silly. Unfortunately, Miu had a very bad fear of clowns and burst into tears when she saw them. Genki quickly calmed her down.
Next was the animals. They watched in amazement as the lion tamer put his hand in the lion's mouth, then made the animal leap through flaming circles and do tricks.
Then was the trapeze acts. The colorfully dressed acrobats swung from the bar, hanging on by their feet. "Well, I'm glad that there's a net underneath them..." Wang said, sweating buckets at every near miss.
After that, the ringleader himself walked up. "And now, the one you've all been waiting for..."
A platform rose in the middle of the stage and confetti burst as the silouette of a girl dressed in a red-and-gold witch's costume appeared. "The master magician... manipulator of minds... THE FLAMING ARCHER!!!" (that was best I could come up with, apologies apologies)
Miu shrieked in delight. "That's her! That's her! That's the one I've been waiting for all night!"
"What does she do?" Akane asked.
"Magic!" Miu replied enthusiastically. "She's the best magician in the world!"
And they were ready to believe it when The Flaming Archer winked at everyone, then vanished, leaving only her head floating in air. "Now you see this..." she pointed a magician's wand at the tall Statue of Liberty standing in the middle of the stage. "Now you don't!" At those words, she drew her wand down-and the statue vanished!
"WHOOOOOOOOOA!" Yeon cried. "Amazing!"
With a grin, she made the statue reappear. "I'm told that I'm rather like a dragon-" she breathed fire in a flaming arc across the air- "-but I never thought that I-" she took off her shoe and poured water into a glass and quickly downed it- "-would be here-" she sneezed out a bunch of cards- "-tonight! It's a ball!" And then she coughed out many small red balls.
The audience lept to their feet, clapping wildly. For the next hour, The Flaming Archer amazed and flabbergasted the entire audience with seemingly impossible feats of magic.
Finally, she bowed low and took off her hat. "Thank you! After our 15-minute break, we'll be holding our special 'Circus Contests' with a very special prize! See you later!" Then she winked again and vanished in a column of fire.
Immediately the chatter of the audience resumed. "That. Was. Amazing!" Wang exclaimed.
"Yes, it really was," Akane agreed.
Miu beamed, a piece of popcorn stuck onto her face. "I'm glad we all chipped in for these tickets!"
"Totally," Yeon agreed.
"I wonder what the contests will feature," Geika wondered. "Do you think we should participate?"
"It depends on what the prize is," Wang said, standing up. "I'm gonna go and get a hot dog, be right back! Don't let anyone steal my seat."
Wang pushed through the crowd, eventually finding the hot dog stand. He got in line.
It only took five minutes for the line to shift close to Wang. He glanced at the menu. "One hotdog, please?"
"That'll be a dollar," the woman at the cash register said pleasantly.
"Right." Wang fished around in his pocket, devastated to discover that he only had 50 cents. "Ah, shoot...Sorry, but I only have half..." Dammit, he cursed to himself. I forgot to pack extra...
Just as Wang was about to sulk out of line because of his rotten luck, a soft voice spoke behind him. "Here." A hand put down a ten-dollar bill on the counter. "I'll pay for him. Keep the change."
Wang turned around, thankful tears in his eyes. The one who had so graciously paid for him was a brown-haired person done into a long ponytail and wearing black robes edged in silver. It was hard to tell whether they were female or male, but he went with male based on the voice. "Thank you so much!"
The person's long bangs covered his eyes and hide part of his face, but he thought he saw a small smile. "It's okay."
The cash register woman handed him a hot dog and one to the person as well. "Have a good day and thank you, sir!"
The person started to walk off. Wang caught up to him. "Wait! Thank you again!"
He paused for a moment. "It's nothing. It'd be better if you forget about me."
On that note, he left.
"Oh! I see you got your hot dog all right," Akane said teasingly.
"We realized you wouldn't have enough, but it was too late by then," Geika said apologetically.
Wang sat down. "It's okay, some mysterious stranger helped me out."
"Oooo, the love of your life, I presume?" Yeon teased.
"Lay off," Wang said, taking a bite. "Besides, it was a man anyway. Well, I think so. I don't know if his hair was a wig or anything."
"SHHHHHH!" Miu shushed them loudly as the lights dimmed again the show started back up. "It's starting again!!"
So it was. The ringleader walked to middle of the ring. "And now, it's time for the Circus Contests! The first contest-" he pointed to the high ropes above them. "Whoever can walk across that will get the pleasure of requesting what The Flaming Archer does plus free tickets for their entire family to the next show! Don't worry, the net will catch you, but any injuries are on you. The line starts by the ladder."
"That's tempting," Akane noted as people started murmuring. "But also highly dangerous."
In the end, only one person stepped up: a petite girl with long black hair, wearing a maid outfit and rabbit ears. The crowd roared in excitement.
"Our first contestant!" The ringleader boomed. "Let's see how you do it!"
The girl climbed up the ladder. She looked down at the crowd far, far below, then ripped part of her maid outfit off and tied it around her eyes. The crowd roared even louder when she stepped onto the tightrope and walked, blindfolded, perfectly balanced, across the rope. Then she flipped onto her hands and used her hands to walk across the rope.
The audience lept to their feet and cheered as she bowed and took off her blindfold.
"Well, my friends, it seems we have a winner!" The ringleader grasped her hand and thrust it into the air. "Congratulations! What would you like The Flaming Archer to do?"
The girl spoke clearly into the microphone. "I'd like for me and my friends to meet her backstage, if that's okay. I wouldn't want to mess with her acts."
"Of course," The ringleader said.
"Man, what I wouldn't give to be her right now!" Miu said. "I wanna meet her too!"
Down below, the girl was still talking. "And I would like to politely refuse the tickets as my family is currently traveling overseas."
"Okay then. Good job nonetheless, young lady, you may return to your seat."
"I guess she's got natural talent," Yeon said.
"Next up, the punching game!" The ringleader announced. Some assistants dragged out something like those arcade games. "Whoever gets the highest score on his game wins those tickets that the young lady refused and 100 dollars! And don't forget to wear the boxing gloves-although they are optional, do not wear them at your own risk."
This time people started lining up immediately. Wang jumped to his feet. "Let's try that one, Akane!"
"Fine." Akane followed him down to the line.
They were surprised when Yeon ran after them. "Hey! Wait for me!"
"You're coming too?" Wang asked. "Knowing you you'd probably slip and fall."
She huffed. "I won't and I'll prove you wrong, bigshot!"
They started to lose a little bit of hope, however, when they spotted the several burly men ahead of them.
Wang managed to get into 13th place, moaning and groaning as he did.
"Weaaaak," Yeon teased as she tied on her gloves.
"Shut up."
Yeon cracked her knuckles, then took a swing.
She swung, slipped, and fell. Her fist grazed the board.
The crowd burst out laughing as the scoreboard started rolling with numbers, finally stopping at...
"22384?!"
Yeon was now first.
Protests erupted. "How she'd do it?" "She barely even touched the board!" "Not fair!"
"Hey, losers are losers," she said, tossing her long hair back. For some reason, her bangs were smoking. "Right, Wang?"
He glared at her, then smirked when Akane stepped up. "I wouldn't be too smug, Yeon. It's Akane's turn, and he packs a punch."
Akane readied himself, stepped back, then hit the board with all the force he had.
The numbers rolled, finally stopping on... 22489.
Akane had just stolen Yeon's first-place rank.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAAAA, he beat your score!!!" Wang gloated. "In ya faaaaaaace!"
Yeon crossed her arms, sulking.
"Humph!" A loud voice drew their attention to a boy about their age, with floppy purple hair and an arrogant manner about him. "I'll show you!"
He marched right up and very quickly gained the first rank at the score of 31564. "In your face, weak people."
Wang ground his teeth. "How dare that little...!!!"
Akane calmly held him back. "Watch."
"HAH!" A red-headed girl wearing a pirate costume of sorts marched up and with one solid punch landed a score of 49856. "You were saying, purple-head?"
Wang clapped. "Nice one!"
"Move out of my way," A light-blue-haired boy wearing a prince costume ordered, then proceded to punch the board and beat the redhead with a score of 69012. "Better luck next time."
The redhead ground her teeth. "I'll get you for that."
Wang's mouth hung open. "Uh... did anybody else notice that they did that without gloves?"
"Yes," Akane said calmly. "But you all don't understand that we're all going to lose."
"Eh?" Purple head asked. "What was that?"
"We're all losers," Akane repeated. "Look at him."
The crowd parted as the person that had saved Wang earlier walked up to the board.
"He's the strongest person here."
As they watched, he held out a hand and pressed his palm to the board.
Ying-ha Style Floral Butterfly Piercing Technique.
The force that ensued quite literally blew up the stage. The scoreboard rolled, rolled, and rolled... then finally stopped on... "134769?!"
"One hundred... thousand?!"
"Annnnnnd, we've got a clear winner!!!" the ringleader announced. "Congratulations, young...man!"
"I also politely refuse the tickets," the person said. "And the money. I give the money to-" he turned his head until his eyes landed on Wang. "That person right there."
WHAAAAAAA?!
"Me?!" Wang asked in disbelief.
"Yes, you," he said. "Enjoy it."
"What are you doing?" Blue Hair hissed to him.
He ignored him. "Well?"
Wang actually burst into tears. He ran up and before he knew he was doing threw his arms around him. "Thank yoooooooouuu!!!" He felt the person stiffen slightly, then relax. "You're welcome."
"Congratulations!" The ringleader handed Wang an envelope filled with ten ten dollar bills. "That's real nice sportsmanship right there!"
"That's so not fair," Yeon moaned as they returned to their seats.
"You'll share, right?" Miu said with puppy dog eyes.
"He'd BETTER," Akane threatened.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm sharing!" Wang said.
"Who was it again?" Geika asked.
"It was that guy..." Wang looked to find the long-haired boy, but he was gone.
"He's already gone..."
Quick POV switch!
"Good job!" Aries complimented Taurus. "Looks like you're not that weak after all." She turned to Aquarius, who looked slightly grumpy. "What's got your whiskers in a twist?"
Aquarius frowned. "I don't have whiskers. And I'm not mad either."
"Did I do something?" Taurus asked. "Should I have not given that boy the money?"
Aquarius let out a loud sigh. "No... I guess I'm a bit jealous."
"Oh-ho-ho! He's jealous!" Aries crowed.
"Why is that, Mr. Aquarius?"
"You just let him hug you, but you barely even let us touch you." Aquarius said.
"Leo does all the time. It's not something you need to ask me for," Taurus said, sitting down.
A crafty gleam and smile appeared on Aquarius's face. "Fine then. I'll cash in my chance to hug you later."
Taurus turned his face away, but the tips of his ears were red.
POV switch back!
"So, here's the deal," Wang said. "I'm not gonna give you the money, instead we can go shopping and you tell me what to do with your portion of it 'cause I don't wanna see it put to waste."
"Fine, that seems reasonable enough," Yeon said. "That was the guy you ran into earlier, right?"
Wang nodded. "Yeah, though I'm not sure why he'd just give away his money to a random stranger."
"Maybe he's already rich," Yeon suggested. "Miu, we can all see the sparkles in your eyes and no, you cannot spend the money on candy and stuffed animals and such."
"How'd he do that?" Akane wondered. "All he did was touch it. Literally. He didn't even hit a thing and yet he practically destroyed the stage."
"Magic, maybe," Geika suggested.
"Well, I'd like to talk with him later," Wang sighed. "And learn the secret behind doing that."
"Hush!" Miu shushed them. "The contests aren't over!"
They watched the rest of the contests, laughing along when some of them featured funny acts.
It was a good night.
But it wouldn't last long.
POV switch (again)
When the show finished, Aries danced all the way down backstage. "This was by far the funnest mission I've ever gone on. I mean," she gestured towards Taurus. "I got to see him flustered and surprise everyone with yet another copied technique-" she gestured towards Scorpio. "-I got to see you on the brink of death with amazing acrobatic tricks and wearing a cute outfit-" and she gestured to Aquarius. "-and I got to see you actually jealous! Is this heaven? 'Cause it's too good to be true."
"Thanks, Aries," Aquarius said, annoyed. "We really needed that."
"Oh, don't be such an upright prat!" she said, waving a careless hand. "Let's go and meet her!"
A man met them backstage. "I'm The Flaming Archer's manager. Right down this way."
He pointed down the hall. The zodiacs walked down it and soon found themselves in front of a door with 'The Flaming Archer' carved onto it. Scorpio knocked.
"Come in!" A voice trilled, and the door opened.
Sure enough, the Flaming Archer was seated on a chair, taking off her makeup. Her hat lay on another seat. She turned around and fixed them with a brilliant smile when they came in. "Hey there! I hear you're the ones who requested a meeting with me!"
"That's right," Scorpio peeped.
"Oh, good job by the way," she complimented her. "Up there, earlier, on the ropes? Nice."
"Thanks!"
"So, what did you want to ask me?" The Flaming Archer turned her attention back to the mirror, brushing her hair. "An autograph? A personal interview?"
"Do you have any special abilities?" Aquarius asked immediately.
At that, her hand froze. "How did you know?" it came out in a whisper.
"'Cause we're just like you," Aries said. "Scorpio, if you would...?"
At that Scorpio nodded then vanished from sight. She gasped. "Woah! She's gone!"
"I have invisibility," Scorpio said, reappearing again.
"I have pyrokinesis!" Aries chirped, lighting her hand on fire. TFA's jaw dropped at that. "Wait, but I have that too-Oops."
"So do I, at least halfway," Aquarius said. "It's kind of common. Anyway, what's your-"
Before he could finish she lept to her feet. "Sorry, but I can't trust you guys until I get better evidence!!!" Her lands lit up and she lobbed a fireball at Aquarius, who ducked. "Geez...Taurus, if you would...?"
Taurus nodded and glided silently to her side. He clasped his hands around her wrists and a moment later she froze, the fire disappearing.
Reverse Flow Control.
"There, now you won't try and burn us up," Aquarius said. "Since these are not fireproof clothes."
Sagittarius waved her hands and looked up at them in panic. "What did you do?"
"Nothing," Taurus spoke for the first time, keeping his face hidden. "I simply temporarily immobilized your ability. It can work with your movements as well. It'll come back soon enough. "
Sagittarius stared at him. "You're the one who blew up the stage," she said. "Was that your ability?"
"Nope," Aries jumped in for him. "But this little cheater over here can copy techniques, or at least learn them at crazy fast speeds, so that's why. His real abilities are electricity and ice."
"We don't want to hurt you," Scorpio said pleadingly. "Just listen."
Sagittarius sighed. "Fine. I don't know what else I'm supposed to do. Okay, hit me with it-"
At that moment, the door burst open and the manager rushed in. "Fire! Fire!"
"Eh?"
"Someone's started a fire!" He panted. "It's spreading quickly, please do something!!"
Sagittarius lept to her feet, but Aquarius stopped her. "Taurus."
Taurus nodded and created the Blue Disk again. They hopped on and zoomed out. Sagittarius yelped. "Woah."
Soon they all felt the sudden chill as the two worked to frost down the flames. Soon, though, Aquarius came back. "Something's not right," he said hurriedly. "Most of them are out but some aren't."
The two followed him outside, where they could see Taurus freezing all of the flames. Thankfully, all of the guests had been evacuated immediately.
And then they saw where the source of the fire was coming from.
It was Yeon.
"Hey, isn't that the girl who was with that kid?" Aries asked. "The one in the flower dress?"
"I think so," Scorpio said. "I'm sorry, I feel useless right now... my abilities don't help at all in this case..."
Sagittarius patted her on the back. "Hey hey, don't be down now! Let's go and talk to that fiery lady, yeah?"
"Oi, Taurus!" Aries shouted. "Come with us to the fiery lady!"
Taurus floated down and hopped onto the ground, hurriedly walking towards Yeon. She noticed them soon enough. "Help, please!" she said pleadingly. "I have absolutely no idea what's going on!"
"Are your friends safe?" Taurus asked calmly.
"Yeah, they didn't want to leave but they did," Yeon said, still panicking. "I don't know what to do!"
"Calm down," he said, touching the top of her head. A moment later all the flames were extinguished and she visibly relaxed. "I don't know what you just did, but thank you."
"You're welcome," Taurus said, retreating back. Vaguely he noticed that Aquarius was frowning, but that was probably because of the strange situation they were in. His temperature was raging on the inside. Using too much frost obviously wasn't good for him.
"Hmmm, now this is odd," Aries mused loudly. "There's no way you're one of us-wait-" she turned to the Flaming Archer. "What's your name?"
"Sagittarius," she replied, grinning. "But you can just call me Saggi if you want."
"Great, now all of our suspicions are confirmed and you're the last the fill in the spot, so that means you can't possibly be with us. Wait." Aries's red eyes narrowed. "Are you... EVIL?!"
Aquarius sighed loudly at her dramaticness. "Ignore our second-in-command. Did you have any idea about your powers before?"
"Um, no?" Yeon said. "Well, maybe. I always burned things while cooking, Wang doesn't let me near his kitchen anymore."
"Me too!" Aries and Sagittarius said in unison.
"Huh. Then I guess you're one of those whose abilities manifest slowly over time. Scorpio, how was it for you?" Aquarius asked.
Scorpio shrugged. "I woke up one day when I was in 5th grade and I could turn invisible. I found out I could manipulate shadows a couple months later."
"Taurus, what about you?"
"They both manifested at the same time about five years ago," Taurus said. Then his brow furrowed. "But it's odd. I can't remember much from five years ago."
...That long, huh? "We can ask Moon about that, she's our mental specilist. Okay then, I guess we'll have to take you as well-"
"Actually, eh, I think that Akane will wring my neck if I don't get out any sooner," Yeon said apologetically. "Oh, and I'm Yeon, by the way."
"Fine, where are they?" Aries asked. "I'll go and explain everything to them!"
"Akane's a pretty tall guy with close-cropped hair," Yeon said. "And a ton of silver piercings. The rest of my friends should be with him."
"Got it!" Aries marched out. She returned five minutes later, her friends in tow. "Everything has been explained."
"What's going on?" Wang shouted, panicking. "Yeon, are you okay?" he caught sight of the rest of them and his jaw dropped. "Mr. Nice Guy and... hey, you guys are the crazy people that achieved impossible things! And..." he looked at Saggi and started fanboying. "It's The Flaming Archer!!"
"That's me," Saggi replied. "Just call me Sagittarius or Saggi."
Miu clutched the empty bowl of popcorn to her chest and tugged on Geika's sleeve. "Auntie, who are they?"
"Friends, Miu," Geika responded kindly.
Taurus smiled gently at her. "We won't hurt you!"
She stared mesmerized into his eyes. "Sunny..."
"Anyway, you'll have to come with us," Aquarius interrupted. "Aries, please call Virgo and tell him to brainwash some people."
Aries nodded and dialed Virgo up. "Hey, Vir, can you come here? There's been a tiny complication. Yes, we've gotten the Sagittarius, just come down here! Turns out she's a famous magician so we can't just sneak out and I really don't want to deal with explanations right now. Okay? Okay? Okay, bye."
A moment later Virgo teleported into the circus tent, earning yelps from the other people. "Woah!"
"Outside," Aries instructed him. "Just do some magic to make them stay put for the rest of the day. We're going to have to call up Moon if we want to gloss this whole thing over, for goodness's sakes."
Virgo nodded and walked out, waving slightly at the newcomers.
"What. Just. Happened?" Wang demanded.
"Teleportation," Scorpio tried. "It's... It's..." she gave up trying to explain. "Ah, never mind."
Virgo returned soon after. "Done. Though I'm tired and you owe me one."
"You technically owe me nothing since this is a mission but whatever. Let's move." Aries flung down a device and they teleported out of there."
----------------------------------------
Ursa was staring down the new group of five. "What. Are. You. Doing. Here. Wait, actually..." she turned her glare onto the zodiacs, who all flinched. "Why in the f*****' hell did you bring these five a**** here?!" (minor note, she curses heavily when angry or stressed or embarrassed)
"Ursa, language," Scorpio reminded her tiredly. Geika had strategically covered Miu's ears for her own innocence.
"Right, right, but I need an explanation quick!"
Libra floated into the room, lying on a giant pillow, and yawned. "Oh, hi there. I thought I heard new voices here, especially since I heard Ursa cursing even more in her mind. I'm Libra, nice to meet you." Reluctantly she got off of her pillow, seemingly oblivious of the stares the five were giving her, and quickly read all the memories of Aquarius and transferred them to Ursa. "Here." She climbed back onto her pillow.
"Thank you, Libra, and please do refrain from reading the newcomers' minds," Ursa said, calmer now.
"Wait, you're a mind reader?!" Wang and Yeon exclaimed at the same time.
Libra yawned again. "Minor telepathy. Useful for interrogating and transferring memories. I wasn't going to bother anyway because your minds are probably turning like crazy trying to figure out this situation right now. And I usually communicate through it, but I'm not supposed to do that to random people."
Akane stared at Yeon. "Do you know these people?"
"What? No!" She exclaimed, holding up her hands.
"Ah, I see now," Ursa said after a moment. "Well, excuse my earlier language. Looks like we have another pyrokinetic and..." her eyes lingered on Sagittarius. "Our final zodiac." She did a quick explanation. Sagittarius took it a lot easier than the rest of them. "Coolio."
"But now the question is what to do with these five," Ursa mused. "None of them have abilities."
Capricorn ran into the room. "Libra, I told you not to steal that pillow, it's not ready yet-what the hell." A moment later Libra gave him all the information and he sighed very, very heavily. "Oh, great. I already had to rebuild the kitchen twice this month, not another pyrokinetic. I should thank the heavens for Cancer the hydrokinetic."
On cue, Cancer ran in. "I heard that there are new people! Boy, the rest of them are gonna be sad they missed this!"
"What are they doing?" Ursa asked.
"Let's see. Gemini and Leo are discussing the best ways to spy on people in the break room, Pisces is mixing potions, and everyone else is here," Cancer said.
"Okay, great. Guests, please wait for us in our guest room." Ursa snapped twice-once teleported the guests away, and twice summoned a very surprised Gemini, Leo, and Pisces.
"Wait a minute, is that the famous Flaming Archer?!" Gemini asked. "I absolutely adore her!"
"Thank you, thank you," Sagittarius said, bowing.
Ursa snapped her fingers and the zodiacs found themselves in a circle in order of their sign. "Ah... at long last..." she closed her eyes and inhaled deeply. "The Circle of Zodiacs have become one once more." When she opened her eyes, they were no longer pink-ish red but dark and brimming with galaxies upon galaxies. Above their heads appeared the zodiac circle made of rainbow light. It descended, then rushed into each of their bodies, filling them with the power of the zodiacs, passed down from generation to generation.
"You are now officially zodiacs," Ursa said, smiling serenely. "On the inside of your left wrist, there will be an infinity mark scar, marking you as a true zodiac." Sure enough, there was one on their wrists. "Serve this generation well, my zodiacs."
"The real adventure begins now."
----------------------------------------------------------
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. All of the zodiacs are at last arranged and gathered! Finally! Yay!
Unfortunately, I'm so not done. There's more excitement and missions and drama coming soon! :D
Here are pictures of Wang and Miu:
Wang
Miu (imagine less chibi and little older)
Yeon, Geika, and Akane I can leave up to your imagination.
So, anyway, that was the longest mission description so far, and I hope you enjoyed!
Tomorrow is SIU's birthday, who's the author of Tower of God which I already mentioned as one of my all-time favorites, so there will be a special chapter.
What should I do for the special chapter? Any ideas?
See you in the next chapter!
