3 months later...

Tohru sat on the front porch smiling to herself with Yuki beside her. She watched as Kyo and Uo were playing football with Momiji and Kisa. Hiro stood at the side, acting as the referee. Shigure was by the tables, which were filled with food that Tohru cooked, talking to Hatori, Ayame, and Ritsu. Hana was also there laughing with Haru.

She laid her head in the crook of Yuki's neck and sighed, "It's so peaceful out here." She laced her fingers with his and squeezed them affectionately.

Yuki nuzzled his head against hers, "It surely is, Miss Honda. I'm glad the other Sohmas are able to spend time with us here."

Tohru nodded in agreement and sat in silence with her beloved boyfriend. She felt joy and happiness as she stared at her friends. Joy that she is fully recovered from her wound and happiness that she has so many wonderful, loving people in her life. With Akito taken care of and Hatori in place of head of the Sohma's, life seemed brighter, happier, and livelier.

Uo approached the couple and sat beside them, panting, "Those kids really know how to tackle." She flexed her muscles stiffly.

"Either way, we still were able to beat their butts." Kyo joined in and sat next to Uo.

Tohru laughed, "I'm so happy you all are having a good time!"

Her blonde friend smiled, "Of course! It's been a while since we had big celebration like this."

"And the food is good as usual." Kyo added rubbing his stomach, "But it wasn't a good idea to play football right after you're done eating."

"Gee, I wonder who's fault that was." Uo smirked at her boyfriend. Kyo glared at her playfully and slung his arm around her shoulders.

Tohru smiled watching her best friend. She was happy with Kyo and it was obvious he was happy with her too. Tohru looked away, tears started forming at the corners of her eyes and she let out a small giggle.

Yuki stared at her in shock, "Miss Honda, is everything okay?" He cupped her face in his hands and brought her close to him until he could see her eyes clearly, which were clouded with tears.

Tohru laughed louder, gaining confused looks from her friends, "I'm not.. sad or anything! Haha! These are just tears of joy... if you can't tell!" Tohru bent over giggling non-stop until her stomach started hurting.

Yuki laughed, "Miss Honda I'm so happy that you're happy." He gently pinched her cheeks, "You're too adorable, you know that?"

"Happy! Happy! Happy!" Kisa came running towards Tohru and gave her a hug. The small girl looked up and smiled, "Tohru is happy which means I'm happy!"

"Did someone say happy?" Momiji came cartwheeling towards the group of friends followed by Ayame who started chanting, "HAPPY!"

Yuki facepalmed himself, "Stop acting like such a child, you're already an embarrassment."

Ayame ruffled Yuki's hair, "I love you too my little brother!" Yuki then slapped his hand away.

"What were those tears of joy for, Tohru???" Momiji asked excitedly.

Tohru wiped her face and turn towards the blonde boy, "Those tears of joy was for all of you! I'm so thankful and joyful that I've met such amazing people. You all have become my family and I'm grateful for that. Ever since my mom and dad passed away, you all helped me stay strong. Thank you all so much!"

"Hugs!" Momiji reached forward to Tohru, "Heres a Your Welcome hug!"

"Hey! What do you think you're doing you little brat-" Kyo tried blocking him but it was too late, Momiji crashed into Tohru's arms.

Poof

The smoke cleared and all was left was a small yellow rabbit on Tohru's lap.

Kyo huffed, "That dumb bunny. He never listened to anyone around here."

"Look who's talking, stupid cat." Yuki snickered softly.

Kyo shot daggers at him, "Oh so you wanna go, ya damn rat? Let's take this outside and I'll beat ya!"

"We are outside, idiot." He deadpanned while crossing his arms.

"Well then what are ya waiting for?" Kyo abruptly got up from the porch and started rolling up his sleeves, "Come on! One on one!"

Yuki hesitated then smirked, "Alright, challenge accepted." Before Kyo could react, Yuki crouched down and sweeped his leg under his feet which caused Kyo to fall backwards against the grass.

Uo laughed, "Gotta be quicker next time, orange top!"

Kyo laid on the ground and growled, "You wanna fight me instead, Yankee? Cause I'll take you down anytime, anywhere?"

She titlted her head, "Really? Cause the only person down right now is you."

Yuki chuckled and gave her a high five. Kyo muttered something and stood up, brushing tufts of grass from his clothes. Tohru was too busy with her own thoughts to notice what happened. As she closed her eyes, she felt the wind flow through her long, brown hair as if it was talking to her. It smelled sweet and crisp like the forest nearby. It reminded her of her mother. Always being there with her, beside her, comforting her. Tohru could feel her presence and she welcomed every second of it.

My beautiful daughter, how I love you.

Tohru opened her eyes and smiled widely. Hearing that sentence brought back memories of her mother's last words. She treasured that memory forever and Tohru was surprised to hear them again.

Her eyes traveled from Yuki to Uo and Kyo to Hana and everyone else. They all have been through so much together. Through thick and thin, rain or shine, and ups and downs. Their friendship would last a million years and more for it helped them stay unified. She then made eye contact with Yuki and he smiled at her. Pulling her up from the porch, he brought her closer to him in a embrace.

"I love you, Tohru Honda." He whispered.

"I love you too, Yuki Sohma." She replied giggling, "Maybe sometime in the future, you'll say 'I love you, Tohru Honda Sohma.'"

Yuki placed a kiss on her lips lovingly, "That's a day I'll be looking forward to, forever and always."

Tohru hugged him once more as they swayed with the wind, "Forever and Always."
