"You think you've escaped me?"

Uo stared with wide eyes at the dark swarming clouds above her head. Air was being sucked inside it's impenetrable vortex and a loud voice boomed from behind the chaos.

She knew this was all just a dream but from the cuts and bruises she received so far, it almost felt like reality.

"That was only the beginning." It cackled. The storm swirled horribly fast and Uo was swept off her feet until she floated into the air. Her body inches away from the whirlpool of clouds. Her mouth opened letting out a silent scream as her legs were dangling into nothingness.

"This isn't over!" The voice shouted, "Your inside a world full of pain and suffering... You've made your choice... And now I have made mine..."

Suddenly, the storm grew unbearable and the wind seemed to pull the breathe out of Uo. Her body began to fade away into the abyss of hell and her soul was being extracted from deep inside her chest. Parts of her memories were being flashed before her eyes and she saw everyone she cared about disappear in front of her.

Her mom... Her dad... Kyo... Hana... Tohru... everyone...

Struggling against the current, Uo attempted to push herself away but only encouraged the chaos to pick up intense speed. It seemed as if it were feeding off her fear and anger.

Her heart suddenly stopped pounding after the sound of a gun shot...

Gasping, Uo sat up abruptly in fear. Her hands scrambled towards her chest, trying to feel a heartbeat. After a few seconds she was able to feel her beating heart increase in rate. Her head was covered in sweat and pain pounded throughout her body.

Closing her eyes tight, Uo bent down and brought her legs close to her body. Untangling strands of her blonde from her forehead, she took in deep breaths and silently told herself to calm down.

That... dream.. it felt so real..

Uo shook her head. It wasn't a dream at all... It was a nightmare...

With a start, she realised that she woke up in the middle of the night. The room brightened every time a cloud would move away from covering the moon then would darken again once more.

There was soft breathing next to Uo and she turned to look at her left. Kyo was still asleep. His body was half covered in the blanket they were sharing and he was snoring softly. Uo felt relief wash over her that she was not alone. She remembered falling asleep in Kyo's arms a couple hours before. She slowly laid back down on the bed and relaxed.

As if on cue, one of Kyo's hands reached over and wrapped around her waist bringing her closer to him. Uo was pulled backwards until she felt Kyo's chest behind her head. He then curled his arm around her body, tightening his grip. Smiling to herself, Uo snuggled her head under his chin, thankful for his warmth after the horrible nightmare.

Her eyes began to close and she was once again pulled into darkness, but this time Kyo was there holding on to her, acting as her anchor to reality.

Uo blinked open her eyes as she heard someone in the distance calling her name. Above her was a blur of orange hair and she had to rub her eyes to clear her vision.

Kyo laughed, "Wake up sleepy head."

Uo yawned, "Is it morning already?"

"Apparently." He responded, "No one is awake yet though. It's just us."

Uo rolled over and pulled the covers over her face, "Then why wake me up orange top? I'm still tired." She closed her eyes again.

Suddenly she felt a ton of weight on top of her. Uo yelped and turned to see that Kyo was lying on her back.

"Hey! Get off you dumbass!" Uo growled but couldn't help to suppress a giggle.

"But I don't want too." He whined, "I wanna be a dumb Yankee and sleep all day to my heart's content!"

"Why you-!" Uo got up abruptly but slipped on a blanket and tumbled to the floor. Kyo followed behind her and slammed his weight into her back again. She let out a shriek of laughter then grabbed a pillow on the ground and started hitting Kyo in the head.

"Oh yeah? Two can play that game!" Kyo also snatched a pillow from the bed and that's how a pillow fight had started.

Uo swung and hit Kyo in the stomach while he backhanded and aimed the pillow towards Uo's chest. She clutched her chest and while she was distracted, Kyo grabbed the blanket and wrapped it around Uo's body.

"Hey that's not fair!" She shouted, struggling to entangle herself from the blanket.

"This is a fight Yankee." Kyo snickered and picked her off the ground. Uo thrashed her arms around but it was no use. Kyo had imprisoned her inside the blanket. "And we have a winner! Kyo Sohma!"

"Okay okay you win! Now get me out of here!" She wiggled inside the blanket.

Kyo set her down on the bed and started unwrapping the blanket from her body. Sighing in relief, Uo stretched from being held captive inside and sat up.

"Well looks like your wide awake now." Kyo smirked.

Uo nodded in agreement and laughed, "Thanks for the morning exercise."

Kyo smiled and leaned forward until their foreheads touched. Uo closed her eyes and breathed in his familiar scent. Kyo then grabbed her hands and pulled her closer to him. She took her hands and wrapped them around his neck.

Kyo let out a sigh and chuckled, "There's no place I'd rather be than her with you, Yankee."

Uo giggled, "When did you become so sappy?"

"Hey at least I don't call you sappy names like that damn rat does."

"Right." Uo smirked, "What shall I call you then? Kitty? Fuzzball?"

Kyo glared playfully at her, "Anything that doesn't have to do with my Zodiac animal, dumbass."

Uo shrugged, "Then I guess I'll stick with orange top."

Kyo smiled, "And I'll still call you, Yankee."

"Well, orange you glad I didn't call you anything else?" Uo burst into laughter at her own pun.

Kyo groaned, "You're such an idiot."

Uo laughed again, "I know, but you love me."

Kyo stared into her eyes and nodded, "Yes, I do."

Knock knock

"Come in." Uo called.

The door slowly opened and Tohru poked her head inside the room, "Hi! Good morning. Is everything okay? I heard pounding from next door..."

Kyo smirked, "It was nothing. Uo was just having a tantrum."

"I was not!" She retorted.

Tohru laughed, "Well it's good you both are awake. Breakfast is ready downstairs."

And with that, Tohru closed the door behind her.

Kyo turned back to look at Uo. "You hungry?"

Uo rolled her eyes, "No dur Sherlock."

Kyo slowly pulled her off his bed and the couple both walked downstairs hand in hand.

"So what are we gonna do about the problem with Akito?" Uo asked as everyone gathered around the table.

Tohru's eyes were glued on the table and Uo could tell she was trying her best not to explode into anger. Tohru never liked being angry but only when she really needs to. Her eyes clouded with grief for everything they've been through.

"I know what we're gonna do." Kyo growled, "We're gonna go and get some heavy loaded machine guns, break inside the Sohma house and just go full on badass on that bastard!"

Everyone around the table looked at Kyo in shock. Tohru's eyes were not glued to the table anymore but they were turned towards Kyo who was standing with hands on his hips. Shigure's mouth was opened half way as if he was about to respond to Uo's question.

Yuki gave Kyo the did-you-seriously-just-say-that look and Uo stared at him with wide eyes.

Kyo glared, "I'm serious! I've had enough of this crap with Akito!"

Shigure cleared his throat, "You do realize that he is the head of the Sohna family and if we... or you... kill him without waiting for his decision of the next head of the family, it can ruin everything?"

"Well he obvious didn't take the time to rethink his decision of ruining our lives, now did he?" Kyo retorted.

"The stupid cat does have a point." Yuki added.

"Thanks." Then Kyo paused, "I mean shut up!"

Yuki snickered quietly.

"But didn't you go and talk to him before, Tohru?" Uo asked, "Maybe we can do the same thing again.

"I'm not sure..." Tohru admitted, "It was pretty complicated in the beginning... and I don't know if he'll react the same now that another person found out about the curse. Especially since he knows you love Kyo."

Up let out an exasperated sigh, "What is with that bastard? Why won't he let any of the Sohma members fall in love?"

"It's just the ones who have the curse." Yuki replied softly, "He believes that no one would accept us and he assumed he's trying to protect us."

"But look at you and Tohru! That's proof that there is a way to break the curse!"

He shook his head sadly, "It's different for everyone."

"Well I don't care!" Uo banged her first against the table, "I'm gonna go over there right now and give him a piece of my mind!"

"That's what I'm talking about!" Kyo agreed, "Now all we need are some loaded machine guns and-"

"No guns." Uo interrupted, amused by his defense, "Like Shigure said, it might ruin a lot of things and probably will get the government involved."

"Which is stupid that the government has done nothing to help us before." Yuki mumbled.

"Do we really think violence is the answer?" Tohru said quietly.

"Yes." Kyo said.

"No." Uo replied.

Kyo stuck his tongue out at her but said nothing more.

"I think we should follow what They did before." Uo said, "We need to resolve this problem in a civil manner by talking to him."

Kyo scoffed, "How civil do you think that bastard is?"

"I agree with Uo." Shigure nodded, "If Tohru was able to convince him before by talking, then I don't see anything wrong I'm doing it again."

"I still think we should get those guns-"

"Now I think your points are stupid." Yuki glared at him.

"You wanna fight me you damn-"

"Then it's settled!" Uo announced quickly, "We'll go and talk to Akito tomorrow."

Tohru nodded in agreement, "I'll stay by your side through it all."

"As will I." Yuki responded.

Shigure nodded his head.

Everyone looked at Kyo, waiting for an answer.

"Fine." He grumbled, "I still think the guns are a better idea. But whatever the Yankee decides, I'll be there for her."

Uo wrapped her arms around him in relief, "Thanks orange top."

Kyo chuckled, "Only for you."
