After finding Kyo, the four friends walked back to Shigure's house. Peace filled the air as Tohru held hands with Yuki and Kyo did the same with Uo. She laid her head on Kyo's shoulder and wrapped her arm tightly around his, not wanting to let go. After all that happened the last couple of days, Uo was scared of losing him again.

Kyo seemed to notice her sudden action and kissed her forehead slightly. "I'm here. Don't worry."

Uo smiled up at him and nodded.

Ahead of her was Tohru and Yuki, their arms wrapped around each other as they walked.

A lump crept in the back of Uo's mouth and she kept out a silent yawn. Suddenly her feet started to feel heavy and her side still ached after being pushed to the ground by Kyo when he transformed.

Uo shivered. She didn't want to remember anymore of that... Especially Akito.

"Tired?" Kyo murmered.

"Yeah." Uo yawned again.

Once the four friends got back to Shigure's house, Yuki went to go and sleep in his room followed by Tohru who didn't want to be alone. Uo and Kyo stood awkwardly in the hall.

"Well I guess we better get some rest." Uo said after moments of silence.

Kyo nodded. "Yeah."

But before Uo walked towards her room, Kyo grabbed her hand. Uo turned around startled.

"Uh.. I.. Sorry." He stammered in embarrassment. "I was just wonder if... (Mutters)."

Uo smirked. "What was that?"

"I was just wondering.. If you can sleep.. With me.." He said, then quickly. "But not like that." Kyo's face flushed.

Uo smiled genuinely at him. "Sure."

Kyo let out a sigh of relief. He walked into his room followed by Uo, his hand still holding hers. They both sat on Kyo's bed but didn't go to sleep yet.

"Its been a long day, huh?" Kyo finally said.

"Yeah." Uo agreed.

"I want to say thank you." He replied turning to look at her.

Uo stared in his eyes and smiled. "Anytime orange top."

"But did you mean it?"

"Mean what?"

"That... You love me..?" His eyes shimmered full of hope.

Uo leaned forward and kissed the top of his nose. "I meant everything I said, orange top."

A few moments passed and Uo curled into Kyo's arms. He squeezed her small shoulders and tightened his grip. She wanted to stay in his arms forever, forgetting all the world's bull crap and problems. Being with Kyo made her feel loved. More than the love her parents had shown her.

Her parents...

Uo's mind filled with unease as she was remembered that Akito was behind her parent's disappearance. As if the universe wanted her to feel more uncomfortable, she flinched as Kyo commented out loud.

"What... What if this doesn't work out?" He suddenly murmered.

"What do you mean." Uo broke out of his grasp and turned to look at him.

"Us." He finally said. "We being together... I know that Akito will do anything to separate us. He doesn't want any of the members of the Zodiac to find love. Think of what he might do to you."

"He doesn't have to know." Uo said, though it was pointless.

Kyo shook his head. "That bastard knows everything."

"But who cares what he might do?" She suddenly blurted out.

"I care!" Kyo gritted his teeth. "I can't let anything happen to you, Uo."

"Nothing will happen."

"How can you be so sure?"

"Well how can you?"

Kyo glared at her. "I know him, Uo. You don't know what he's capable of doing. I've seen what he did to Yuki when he was younger... He's insane!"

"That was before!" Uo countered. "Sure he sent my former gang after me, banished my parents, and snapped of your bracelet... But how bad can he be?"

"Why are you so stubborn?" Kyo growled. "Obviously those events didn't click in your mind that he's a bad ass psycho."

"It does click in my mind but it also shows how we survived it together!" Uo retorted. "Just because he's the head of the family doesn't mean he has to be an obstacle in our relationship."

Kyo looked away, his eyes flashing.

Uo's eyes widened. "Wait.. Akito is not the real reason why.. Is he..?"

Kyo remained silent.

Tears started forming in Uo's eyes. "You don't feel the same way... do you?"

Kyo looked at her alarmed. "No Uo-"

"You liar! You said you love me but you don't!"

"Would you listen-?

"No!" Uo sobbed pushing him away.

Suddenly he grabbed her by the shoulders. "Uo stop! Listen!"

She abrubtly stopped crying and looked him in the eye.

Kyo grunted. "You stupid girl! Of course I love you!"

"Doesn't seem like it." She spat.

Kyo sighed. "Akito is the last on my mind right now.. Uo listen please. I love you with all my heart, I finally realize that now. Its just.."

"Just what?" She growled. "Go on, I'm waiting for an excuse."

Kyo glared at her then continued. "Its just... What if I can't be the guy for you..?"

Uo's gaze softened. "Is that it?"

"Yeah.. The first time I actually let out my feelings out there... It didn't turn out well. I'm scared. I've never been in a relationship before... Especially since I'm apart of the Zodiac. Im scared that I won't be able to support you, to help you, to love you enough, to protect you! What if I can't be good enough..?"

Tears rolled down Uo's cheek as she stared at Kyo who was shaking in defeat.

Can't he see how much he means to me?

"You'll always be enough for me." She whispered.

Kyo shook his head sadly and looked away.

No! Please don't end it like this...

"Kyo looked at me." Uo whispered as she leaned forward, her face inches from Kyo's. She could feel his breath on her cheek as he inahled and exhaled. She brushed her lips over his, reveling the velvety softness of his mouth against hers. When he didn't pull away she pressed more firmly, knowing, somehow, that she had to move slowly, convince his tattered soul so carefully that she meant every word.

"I love you. And I'm asking you..." Uo opened her month slightly and gently scraped her teeth along his bottom lip, feeling his whole body shudder. "No." She amended. "I'm begging you to stay with me. Be with me." And Uo pressed her mouth against his and murmered against his lips. "Forever."

For a few seconds he didn't respond.

Then a groan escaped Kyo's throat and be thrust his fingers into her long, blonde hair, pulling her mouth to his with a fierce hunger.

"Kiss me." Uo whispered. "And don't stop."

His mouth enveloped hers again and their shared sweetness tased like ambrosia as he caressed her eyelids, her ears, her neck, and Uo marveled at the starngness of the world. She loved him, had always loved him. She had known it, somehow.

As they both pulled away Kyo cupped his hands on Uo's cheek and stared into her eyes.

"Will you stay with me Kyo? No matter what the obstacle may be?" Uo said, hope filling every word.

Kyo chuckled. "How can I say no?"

Uo punched him in the arm. "Don't scare me like that ever again, orange top."

He laughed and brought her into a heart warming hug. "I know I'm sorry. I'm an idiot."

"Your my idiot." She smiled.

Kyo touched noses with Uo and smiled back. "Love ya Yankee."

"Love ya too, orange top."

A few moments later the couple fell asleep in each other's arms, happy for one's comfort.
