The Christmas Eve party lasted for the whole night. Everyone laughing and celebrating with each other. Tohru sat outside on the porch steps with Uo and Hana, watching the snow fall from the sky.

"Its so pretty." Tohru said in awe.

"Yes, definitely a beautiful white Christmas." Hana murmered. "I wonder how long this will last."

"Maybe the rest of the week." Uo wondered.

"I hope it lasts when school starts again." Tohru said.

"Speaking of school." Hana added. "You said you were gonna introduce me to Hatsuharu, Tohru?"

"Why yes!" She replied getting up from the porch. "I'll be right back." She turned and walked back inside the house.

"So." Hana said breaking the silence that lingered between her and Uo after Tohru left. "You're going with Kyo, right?"

"Going with Kyo where?"

"The Winter dance at school." She reminded her.

"Oh right." Uo mumbled, leaning her head against the wooden beam on the porch. "Almost forgot about that."

"You two don't get along that well so you?" Hana asked.

Uo shrugged. "I guess you can put it that way." Uo thought about it. We don't get along that well..? Yeah I guess so.

"You like him don't you?"

Uo flinched. "I do not."

Hana didn't look convinced. "When we were talking about him, I felt your heart start beating faster."

Uo blinked and placed her hand on her chest. Hana was right. Her heart rate increased.

She shook her head. "I'm pretty sure its just the cold."

"Uo, you know that's not true. Why can't you just admit it?"

"Its harder than it seems, Saki." Uo said. "I know he doesn't feel the same way. Things are just complicated right now. Plus I don't care." She turned away.

Hana must've sensed she didn't want to go into the subject anymore so she just brushed it off. A few moments later Tohru came back outside.

"Sorry I took so long." Tohru said as she walked outside towards her friends. A guy with black and white hair followed behind her. "This is Hatsuharu." She gestured to the guy standing behind her.

Hana got up and went to go shake his hand. "Hello I'm Saki Hanajima."

"Nice to meet you." Haru said shaking her hand.

"Um Haru." Tohru started. "Will it be alright if you would be Hana's partner for the Winter dance at school next week?"

Haru nodded. "Yeah, I don't mind. I don't have a partner either, so it works out."

"Great!" Tohru exclaimed. "Then its all settled."

"Who are you going with, Tohru?" He asked.

"Yuki." She blushed.

"Right. Well I'm happy for both of you." Haru smiled.

"Thanks."

Uo listened to their conversation and stared out at the snow falling from the sky. She didn't know what she was feeling but it was strong, and it always happened when Kyo was around. No, stop. I can't like him. She shook her head in distress, the two of them don't even get along so there's no point... Is there?

Besides, he must still like Tohru. No I'm not jealous, honestly. Its just I'm sure I'm not the kind of girl he would find attractive. I'm not jealous of Tohru, she's already with someone who makes her happy and that's all I want. My best friend to be happy.

"Hi Uo."

Uo backed out of her thoughts and looked up to see Tohru standing next to her.

"Hey kiddo." She replied.

Tohru sat down next to her. "Is everything okay?"

"Yep, everything's cool." She said.

"You know Uo, you can always tell me." Tohru told her reassuringly.

Uo smiled. "Thanks kiddo."

Suddenly Yuki appeared behind Tohru and gave Uo a small nod.

Ohh I see what he's gonna do...

Yuki slowly cupped his hands over Tohru's eyes.

She flinched. "Eh? Hello? Who's there?"

Yuki laughed and whispered in her ear. "Hello love."

Tohru took Yuki's hands over her eyes and turned around. "Oh hi Yuki!"

He kisses her on the forehead. "Are you ready to see your surprise, Miss Honda?"

Tohru smiled. "Of course."

Yuki helped her up from the steps. "Follow me and make sure you close your eyes."

Tohru nodded as she closed her eyes. Yuki wrapped his arm around her and led her around the house.

"Is Yuki showing Tohru her present?" Haru asked Uo, when the couple were already lost from sight.

Uo nodded. "Do you know what it is?"

He shrugged. "Nope."

"Well I hope they have a great time." Hana said.

"Kyo!!"

"Dammit." Kyo grumbled as he saw Kagura coming towards him.

"Kyo-chan I've been looking for you everywhere!" She exclaimed giving him a big hug.

"What do ya want?" He muttered.

"I was just wondering if you want to go under the mistletoe with me." Kagura winked.

Kyo's eyes widened. "No thanks."

"Awe why not??"

"We're cousins. And I don't like you." He stated.

"Y-You don't like me?" Kagura sniffed. Suddenky , her hand whipped up and grabbed Kyo's hair in a flash.

"Ow!" Kyo yelled. "Let go!"

She yanked on his head making him yelp. "Not until you love me Kyo-chan!" She shook his head back in forth.

Kyo gritted his teeth. Why do I have to deal with this every time she comes here?!

"Kagura." A voice called.

She stopped shaking Kyo and turned around. "Huh?"

Hatori walked towards her. "Let go of Kyo." He said sternly.

"Aw why?? He's being mean!" She shouted. (A/N: Kagura is a grade higher than Kyo, Yuki and Tohru. Even though they're all in highschool, Kagura still acts like a little girl. But she's fierce on the inside.)

"Kyo did nothing. Now let his hair go before you become stressed and transform in a boar." Hatori demanded. (A/N: Oh yeah, Kagura's zodiac animal is a boar)

Kagura reluctantly let go of Kyo's hair. "Fine."

Kyo rubbed his head. "Damn you got grip."

"Well anyways Kyo." Hatori said. "We've got to get going now. Tell Yuki and Tohru Merry Christmas and goodbye. Come on Kagura."

Kyo nodded and watched Hatori and Kagura walk out the house followed by Hatsuharu who waved goodbye to Hana. The other Sohma guests have left already.

It was getting a little stuffy inside the house so he chose to go outside to get some fresh air. Kyo walked outside the towards the front porch where he saw Uo sitting down.

"Hey Yankee." He greeted.

Uo turned around. "Oh hi."

Kyo sat awkwardly next to Uo, but not too close.

"So the guests left?" Uo asked.

"Yeah."

"Cool."

What the hell is with this awkward silence...

Kyo gazed at Uo who was sitting at his left side, closing her eyes. He couldn't understand her. One moment she could have a foul mouth and a fierce attitude then the next she's gentle and kind.

"Why are you staring at me like that, orange top?" Uo asked rasing an eyebrow.

"Nothing." He shrugged looking away.

"Yeah I get it that I'm pretty but you don't have to stare." She smirked.

"I wasn't staring!" He grumbled.

"Sure."

Kyo rolled his eyes. Yeah I was staring. So what? That doesn't mean I like her. Right?

"Ya know orange top, your not that bad, I guess." Uo murmered out of nowhere.

"Not that bad, eh?" He echoed.

"Yeah. Though your hard to get along with, I know you have a soft side." She smirked.

"Shut up I do not."

"Awe tough guy here is a softie."

"Damn you Yankee." Kyo muttered.

"Do you like your present Miss Honda?" Yuki asked her.

Tohru smiled. "Yes! Its so thoughtful of you, Yuki. Thank you so much!"

Yuki set up a dinner table at his secret base for Tohru which was lit up in candles. A fresh bouquet of flowers sat in a vase on the table.

Yuki and Tohru were enjoying the delicious meal that Yuki made,under the sky which stopped snowing. The moon glowed over the tall pine trees.

"How's the food Miss Honda." Yuki asked.

"Its amazing! You're a really good chief, Yuki." Tohru exclaimed happily.

Yuki blushed. "Well I'm glad your enjoying it. But I'm sure my cooking is not as good as yours, Miss Honda."

Now it was Tohru's turn to blush. "Aw no.."

Yuki reached out and grabbed Tohru's hand. "I'm glad I get to spend Christmas with you, love."

"Me too Yuki. Thank you so much for everything."

Yuki smiled at her and got up from his seat. He walked where Tohru was sitting and pulled her up from her chair gently. He held her close, wrapping his arm around her waist swaying back and forth. Tohru blushed and wrapped her arms around Yuki's neck, bringing them closer together. Yuki hummed a song so it felt like they were dancing to music.

Tohru gazed up at Yuki, who was taller than her, into his warm purple eyes. She loved him so much words couldn't even describe what she was feeling. All she knew was that Yuki loves her and she loves him.

"Miss Honda." Yuki started. "No matter how much times I tell you I love you, those words won't be enough to tell you how truly I love you."

"Same with me Yuki." Tohru replied.

Yuki leaned forward until his forehead was leaning against Tohru's. "Merry Christmas, love."

Tohru closed her eyes. "Merry Christmas Yuki, I love you."

"Forever and always." He whispered.
