Where am I?

Tohru looked around to find herself standing in a field of daisies.

She was wearing a yellow lace dress that reached down to her knees. She was also barefoot. A soft breeze swept throughout the field making the daisies sway back and forth. The sun layed restless above her, its rays casting orange color to the white fluffy clouds.

"Hello?" Tohru called.

She looked around to see no one in sight.

"Tohru?"

A familiar voice whispered from behind her.

She turned around slowly to see orange hair guy standing a couple of feet from her. He was wearing his usual tan hoodie and jeans.

"Kyo?"

He took a step closer. "Hey."

"W-What are you doing here?" Tohru stuttered.

"I don't know." Kyo looked around. "Where are we?"

"Well I remember I was sleeping in Yuki's bed and—"

"Save it." He interrupted. "Don't you dare bring up that damn rat."

Tohru clamped her mouth shut.

"I meant, where are we here." He gestured to the daisies.

Tohru shrugged. "It feels like a dream world."

Kyo scoffed. "Yeah sure, what next? A rainbow unicorn flies across the sky?"

As if on cue, a white unicorn with a rainbow mane popped out from the daisies and flew across the sky creating a rainbow path in the sky. Then it disappeared in the sun.

Kyo stared at it blankly. "Dammit"

"Somewhere over the rainbow..." Tohru giggled.

"Don't. Sing. That. Song." He grumbled.

Tohru smiled. "Its catchy."

"So how do I get out of this magical dream world."

"I don't know. Maybe if we try to wake up." Tohru suggested.

"Wake up? I was never asleep. The last thing I remembered, I was running towards the house from Uo's." Kyo said.

"What were you doing at Uo's?" Tohru asked.

He shook his head. "Never mind." He turned around and started trudging through the daisies.

"Kyo wait." Tohru called.

He hesitated, then he stopped and looked back at her. "Yeah?"

"Please come home." Tohru begged. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry."

Kyo's eyes widened, then nodded. He went back trudging away from Tohru, trying to find his way home.

Tohru stared at him, longing for him to come home.

"I'm sorry Kyo." She whispered. "It was my fault you ran away."

"My fault.. All my fault." Tohru murmured in her sleep.

"Miss Honda?"

She felt someone nudging her arms gently. Her eyes flickered open.

"Miss Honda are you alright?"

Tohru looked up to see Yuki standing over her.

She yawned. "Oh yes I'm fine, Yuki. Good morning."

He smiled and kissed her on the forehead. "Good morning, love."

Tohru sat up and stretched, looking around. Oh that's right, I slept in Yuki's room last night. Speaking of sleep...

"Yuki!" She turned to her boyfriend, gaining a startled look from him. "Where'd you sleep last night? Did I take up the whole bed? Were you comfortable?"

He laughed. "Yes I was Miss Honda don't worry. I slept on the floor but it's alright." He pointed to a blanket and pillow next to the bed.

"Aw you should've slept with me." Tohru replied, then realizing what she said. "Oh no! I didn't mean like that! You didn't have to sleep on the floor if you weren't comfortable with—"

Yuki cut her off with a quick peck on the lips making her blush.

"You worry too much." He whispered.

"I'm sorry."

"No need." He smiled. "Thank you for worrying."

Tohru brightened.

"Now." Yuki continued. "Are you alright? Really. You were murmering things in your sleep."

"Er yes!" Tohru said nervously. "I was just dreaming that's all."

Yuki sat next to her. "You know you can tell me, Miss Honda."

She nodded, then took a deep breath. "Its my fault."

"What's your fault?"

Oh wait.. Let me back things up a bit.

"Well you see, last night Kyo.. He confessed that he liked me.." Tohru said. "And I forgot to tell him that I was with you already..."

Yuki nodded for her to go on.

"Well when I did, he was upset." She continued. "And he ran away and that was the last time I saw him. Well not until I saw him in my dream."

"A dream?" Yuki echoed.

"Yeah, it was odd. There was a field of daisies, and I was wearing this beautiful lace dress. And there was a rainbow unicorn and Kyo was there and—"

Tohru stopped when Yuki gave her a confused look.

She took a deep breath. "What I meant to say was... I feel like its my fault that Kyo ran away. If I only told him sooner this wouldn't have happened." Tears started to build up in her eyes.

Yuki wrapped Tohru in a hug. "Its not your fault. Don't say that."

"B-But it is." She sniffled.

"No." Yuki said holding her tighter. "Don't blame yourself for Kyo's actions. He didn't know about it and chose to react in a unreasonable way. Yes, he's hard to talk to, but come to think of it he understands what your trying to tell him. Even though he's stupid sometimes."

Tohru giggled softly. "Your right. Thank you, Yuki."

"Anything for you, my princess." He whispered.

They sat there on Yuki's bed, grateful for each other's comfort. Tohru was glad to have someone like Yuki in her life to help her through her hardships. She couldn't help but feeling like the luckiest girl in the world in Yuki's arms.

She closed her eyes. Kyo, wherever you are. Please come home.

Knock knock knock

"I'll go get the door." Shigure offered standing up from the dining table.

Tohru exchanged glances with Yuki. They were both thinking the same thing.

They heard Shigure open the door. "Kyo! Where have you been?"

He mumbled something Tohru couldn't hear.

"Well then. You better go wash up. We're eating dinner right now." Shigure said.

She heard his footsteps pound up the stairs.

Shigure entered the dining room. "That was Kyo, does anyone know where he went?"

Tohru and Yuki shook their head.

Maybe Uo's probably.. Like my dream.

Tohru sensed the awkwardness in the air. "How do you all like the food?" She asked trying to lighten up the mood.

"Its delicious as always." Yuki replied.

"Very good, indeed." Shigure responded.

Tohru smiled. "Thank you."

Once everyone was done eating Tohru gathered all the bowls and plates and started washing them. Kyo hasn't come down yet to eat.

I guess I'll just give him some time alone..
