"Good morning, mom," Tohru yawned as she held a picture frame of her mom. "Did you have a good sleep?" She laid on her pink bed and ran her hand over the soft fabric. Closing her eyes, she wished she could just curl under its covers and go back to sleep. Tohru gazed out the window. It was a bright beautiful morning and she could hear the sound of birds chirping in the trees as the sun rose behind them.

"I had a wonderful dream, mom," She continued, "There was a grand celebration of some sort of event. Everyone was there, even the Sohmas. Uo and Hana too."

Tohru sighed reminiscing her dream.

"I still remember it all... The food was amazing, mom, I wish you were there."

She kissed her mom's picture and got out of bed stretching.

Oh I should probably hurry up and make breakfast downstairs, she thought, I know Shigure will be very hungry.

Tohru changed out of her pajamas and dressed in her normal everyday wear.

"This should do." She looked at her clothes in the mirror. She was wearing a nice blue short sleeve blouse with a matching black skirt.

Tohru quietly walked down the hall, trying not to wake up Yuki and Kyo. The stairs creeked as she stepped on each one.

Once she reached the kitchen she started making breakfast. Miso soup and rice balls.

"Good morning Tohru!!"

Tohru jumped startled then turned around to see who called her name.

"Oh I'm sorry Tohru I didn't mean to scare you." Shigure laughed.

Tohru sighed in relief, "Good morning too Shigure! And that's okay!" She then resumed her cooking.

Shigure sniffed the air with his dog smelling instincts, "Miso soup, huh?"

"Yup! Its almost done too." Tohru replied as she went back to stirring the soup.

"Yum! Soup! And on this cold winter morning too!" Shigure sighed sweetly.

"That's good unless you didn't include any leaks." A voice grumbled from outside the kitchen door.

"Oh good morning Kyo!" Tohru called. She regonized that complaint from no one but Kyo.

The orange haired boy stepped into the kitchen and by the look on his face he was half asleep.

"Okay everyone! Miso is ready and so are the rice balls!" Tohru said.

Everyone sat around the table eager to eat the breakfast Tohru especially made. Everyone except Yuki.

"Hmm is Yuki awake yet?" Tohru asked looking around the room.

"I'm not sure but he'll wake up when he's ready Tohru, please come sit and eat." Shigure reassured her.

Kyo let out a defiant mumble and rubbed his orange hair. "Good, I won't have to deal with that damn rat in the morning." He reached over to the side of the table where the chopsticks laid.

"I should go check on him just in case." Tohru said.

"Oh alright." Shigure sighed. "I guess its just gonna be me and Kyo.. Eating this wonderful breakfast that lovely Tohru made for us.. Ahh.. The warm taste of the miso soup.."

Slap

"Would you just shut up and eat your food already?!" Kyo yelled, obviously annoyed in his half asleep state.

Shigure splattered water on his eyes to fake cry. "Oh Tohru! Kyo-kun is being mean! Um Tohru?"

But Tohru wasn't standing in the dining room anymore, she was on her way upstairs to go check on Yuki and giggled as she heard the two argueing behind her.

"Yuki?" Tohri knocked on his door, "May I come in?"

When she didn't hear a response she let herself in making the door creak loudly to let Yuki know she was walking in.

"Yuki?" She looked around his room but couldn't find him. He wasn't in his bed or sitting on his desk. His pajamas were laying all messed up on the floor.

Tohru blinked. He must've transformed into his zodiac form. But why?

"Miss Honda? Is that you?" A small voice whispered, coming from under the bed.

Tohru kneeled on the floor, "Yuki? Are you alright??"

Suddenly, a small silver rat crawled from under the bed and scurried on Tohru's lap.

"Aw Yuki what's wrong? Why have you transformed?" She asked, stroking his small head.

"Its nothing Miss Honda." Yuki coughed, "Just not feeling well that's all." He laid his small head on Tohru's lap.

Tohru freaked out, "Oh no! Are you sick again? Are you feeling alright?? Are you okay??"

Yuki coughed again, "No I'm not feeling okay... But no need to worry Miss Honda, I'll be okay."

Poof

Tohru gasped and quickly covered her eyes as Yuki transformed back into his human self. He changed in his normal wear. Suddenly, Yuki stumbled on his bed, grunting in pain.

"Yuki!" Tohru caught him in her arms but he didn't transform, which was odd. But she didn't let that distract her from helping him back on to his feet.

Yuki coughed again, "I'm sorry I had to put you through all this trouble, Miss Honda. And I missed breakfast.."

Tohru shushed him, "Its okay, right now what's most important is that you rest. I'll be back and get you some miso soup."

He nodded and got into his bed, pulling the covers up to his chest.

Oh no Yuki can't be sick again! And he looks much worse than last time!

Tohru was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't watch where she was going until she bumped into Shigure.

"Oh sorry, Tohru." He apologized, "Say, where's Yuki? Is he coming down?"

Tohru looked down with worry, "Oh Shigure, he's not feeling good again.. I came back down to get him some soup. Please call Hatori, he needs help!"

Shigure's face turned serious and he nodded, "He must be getting the flu again. I'll call him right away." He went to the other room and dialed on the phone.

Tohru sighed. I hope Yuki will be okay..

"Yuki's sick again, huh?"

Kyo's voice startled her and she turned to him, nodding. "Yes he might be coming down with the flu.."

Tohru was waiting to hear Kyo say something bad about Yuki but instead he sighed. "I hope he gets better." He mumbled.

Tohru was stunned. "What did you say, Kyo?"

Kyo flinched, "What I meant was.. I hope he gets better so I can fight him! And this time I'm gonna beat that damn rat!" He walked out the room without saying another word.

Tohru smiled. Those two never get along. But maybe some day.

Tohru went to the kitchen and got a bowl of soup for Yuki and took it upstairs to his room.

"Yes you do have a fever." Hatori confirmed, "Its best for you to stay in bed the whole day. Its a good thing its Christmas break so you'll have a lot of time to rest."

Yuki coughed again but this time not as bad. I guess the soup helped.

Hatori is the doctor of the Sohma family and when Shigure called him over the phone, he came right away.

"Is he gonna be okay?" Tohru whispered as she watched Yuki sleeping soundly.

"Yes he will." Hatori replied.

Tohru sat on Yuki's bed next to him. "But what's wrong with him?"

"I'm not sure but for some reason his zodiac form is disappearing. For example, you told me a while ago that when you caught him he didn't transform, correct?"

"Yes, it was a bit odd. But I assumed it was because he was really tired."

"Well I'll have to look in to that." Hatori turned around and walked out the room then he stopped, "I think its best for you to be by Yuki's side for now and help care for him, will that be alright with you Tohru?"

"Yes! Of course! I'll do my best." Tohru exclaimed.

Hatori smiled, "That's good, I'll let you know if some things come up and if you need anything I'm just a phone call away. Goodbye Tohru." And with that he left down the hall.

That night Tohru made a small bed on the floor next to Yuki so she would be able to be by his side at all times.

Yuki was snoring softly. His breathing steadied and he was sound asleep.

Tohru couldn't help but watch him.

He's so calm.. That gentle face of his..

Tohru brushed a strand of Yuki's silver hair from his eyes. She sighed.

I hope you feel better Yuki.. Please get better.

Tohru laid on her small bed and held her mom's picture close to her.

After a few moments Tohru also fell asleep.
