You know Arlen? Wait.... everyone knows him.

Anyways, Arlen is the scientist and inventor of the group. He also likes to operate machines with the help of his good friend Tyler. Arlen has a lot of unique inventions: a time machine, a machine that generates food after you type it down on a keypad, heck, even a robot that raps.

But today the zodiacs are invited to to see Arlen's new machine. From the looks of it, it was a box like machine with those velcro straps that wrap around the top part of the arm.
The machine also has a cable connected to Arlen's laptop which detects some  things.
The machine was on a table  with Arlen's laptop. There are two chairs near the table, one on either side (Arlen was sitting on the chair near his laptop).

In other words: it is a lie detector.

Arlen had invited everyone to check out the machine at House 3, of course they all came.

Well.... the only person that didn't arrive was Alyssa (who is back at House 5, for some reason).

"This is fancy Arlen," Tahlia smiled as she admired the machine, "Real fancy. But I am curious. How does it work?"

"Allow me to explain." Arlen grinned, "This lie detector gives the truth out about a person. The person must wrap this velcro strap around the top part of their arm and sit down on the empty chair." He then gestured to the machine, "Someone must ask a question that  the person must give their honesty. The infomation is progressed and the result will show up on my laptop. This machine will easily detect a lie and a truth. If it is a truth a 'DING' noise will come my laptop"

"What happens if a lie is out?" Colin asked worriedly, "Does it-"

"No." Arlen replied shaking his head, "Nothing happens, just everyone being surprised. If it is a lie, there would be a buzzer sound. Here, allow me to do an example, but I need a volunteer. Who wants a go?"

No one raised their hand, instead they all looked around hoping they would speak out. Finally Tyler spoke up, "Alright, I'll do it."

"Suits yourself." Leo shrugged, secretly wanting to have a go but he is a bit scared about what might happen.

"Great, a volunteer." Arlen smiled, "Just sit down on that chair right there."

Tyler did just that. He watched as Arlen wrapped the elcro strap around the top part of Tyler's arm. He also watched as Arlen turned on the machine and sat back down on his seat  and averted his gaze to his laptop. Tyler cleared his throat, "I am scared."

"Don't be, nothing bad will happen." Arlen replied with a warm smile. He turned back to the others, "Who wants to ask a question."

"MEEEEE!" Phoebe called out. She then turned to Tyler, "Am I cute?"

"WHAT SORT OF QUESTION IS THAT?!" Carol and Sabrina screeched. Tyler chuckled.

"Of course Phoebe." Tyler smiled.

DING!

"True." Arlen mumbled out loud.

"Do you think I am fabulous?" Leo inquired.

"Y e s." Tyler replied, rolling his eyes and laughing softly.

DING!

"True." was Arlen's response.

"I got a good one!" Vivian called out. She then gave Tyler a 'did you do your chores' look, "Did you wash the dishes?"

".......Yes."

BUZZZZZZ!

"That is a lie." Arlen called out. This made Cameron do a dramatic gasp.

"Bad Tyler!" Cameron scolded.

"Yes. Bad Tyler. You have been a naughty boy." Phoebe scolded in a playful tone. Tyler unwrapped the strap off his arm and then got down on his knees, clasping his hands in a pleading manner.

"Please have mercy on me." Tyler pleaded, hoping Phoebe would forgive him. Instead his response wasn't as expected.

"No." Phoebe replied, hiding her laughter with a serious look on her face.

"Please."

"No."

"Please."

"Nu."

"Why did I think Tyler is going to propose to Phoebe?" Skyler mumbled to himself, "I need sleep."

Gilbert, who was eating small donut like cookies, heard Sky6ler and walked up to him. His eyes then bubbled with tears, "Skyler...?"

"What?" Skyler asked, turning to the male. His eyes widened when he noticed Gilbert on one knee, "...What?"

"Skyler, I admire you and Sabrina with all my heart. You are the best girlfriend I've ever had and I love you," Gilbert teared up as he held up a pink donut ring cookie, "Marry me."

"OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!" Carol, Phoebe and Sabrina fangirled, filming the entire thing. The others were watching on with excitement, hoping Skyler would say 'yes'.

Instead, it wasn't what they expected.

"No." Skyler smirked, snatching the donut ring cookie from Gilbert. He then popped the cookie in his mouth, making Gilbert gasp.

"HOW DARE YOU???"

"Who wants to have a go on the lie detector next?" Arlen asked the others. To his surprise, Leo started bouncing around.

"PICK ME! PICK ME! ME, PLEASE! ME! PICK M-"

"You know, how about we let Vincent on the lie detector?" Sam offered.

Arlen nodded in agreement, "Sure. Vincent, have a seat."

"Awwww... I want to have a go..." Leo pouted like a child wanting to play outside.

"Next time," Arlen responded as he wrapped the strap around Vincent's arm. He then nodded to the others, "Ask away."

"Vincent, are you straight?" Sabrina asked the male.

"Yes." was Vincent's response.

DING!

"That's a truth." Arlen frowned.

"Bull!" Aika cried out in outrage, "This machine is broken. That can't be true!"

"Yeah, I agree!" Vivian called out, "That CAN'T be true!"

"Well, the machine says it is." Arlen answered, shaking his head, "It's not broken, I think."

"You think?" Levin questioned, "I have a question for Vincent."

"Ask away."

Levin snatched a cookie from Gilbert, popped it in his mouth and started to chew it. After swallowing the cookie, the male crossed his arms, "Vincent, are you gay?"

"I already told you guys. NO! I'M NOT GAY! " Vincent cried out.

"YOU SURE ABOUT THAT VINCENT????" Vivian shouted back at the Virgo male.

Vincent was about to aswer back when he heard a loud cry from Arlen. Everyone turned to find Arlen staring at his laptop (which had a black screen). Arlen turned to the others and scratched the back of his head.

"Did I forget to mention to you guys, that I forgot to charge my laptop?" Arlen pointed out, "My laptop had ran out of battery, and my charger is in my room. Sorry about that."

"It's fine." Vincent smiled, unwrapping the strap from his arm, "You go charge your laptop. We can do this another day."

"IT'S NOT FINE!" Gilbert outbursted, "WE NEVER GOT TO FIND OUT VINCENT'S SEXUALITY! THIS ISN'T FAIR. I CAN'T BELIEVE THI- WAIT SKYLER WHAT ARE YOU DOING?"

The other noticed Skyler was dragging Gilbert inside the house, "Calming you down you lil s***."

"Oi! That's my middle-name!" Gilbert cried out as Skyler dragged him away.

"A rather intriguing middle name. If you ask me." Sabrina chuckled, rolling her eyes, "Anyways, it is such a bummer that Arlen's laptop went flat."

"Yeah, and besides I already know what Vincent's sexuality is." Pete whispered, "He told me. But I can't say it."

Everyone else (but Vincent) groaned in frustration. That's when the doorbell rang.

"I'll go answer it!" Sienna called out, as she ran inside the house, "It could be Alyssa!"

By the time Sienna answered the door, it was Alyssa. But something about Alyssa's mood when the door was answered made Sienna confused.

For once in her lifetime.... Alyssa looked gloomy. Sienna noticed this and frowned, "Aly? What's wrong?"

"I'll explain." Alyssa frowned, "To everyone."

"So you're telling us Alyssa, that... your pet had moved on with life?" Giselle asked softly.

The zodiacs are all seated in House 3's living room, comforting Alyssa. When Alyssa arrived at the house, her face was pink and stained with tears. Everyone is trying their best to cheer her up with words, Sienna and Lily even gave the girl comforting pats on the back. But Alyssa is still upset.

The Aries female nodded, "Yeah.... that's why I didn't come over today. I was too upset..."

"Awww Alyssa," Carol frowned, "We're sorry to hear this."

"Wait... what pet is this?" Colin asked randomly. He paused when the others stared at him, "What? I am curious."

"What Alyssa is clearly talking about is her parakeet-" Vivian stated but she ended up being interrupted by Alyssa's cries.

"IT'S PARAYEET."

"PARAKEET, PARAYEET. SAME THING."

"NOT REALLY!" Alyssa yelled back, tears rolling down her face, "Yeet was a wonderful pet..."

"You named your pet 'Yeet'." Vincent mumbled. He then repeated louder, "You NAMED your pet 'YEET'."

"YES I DID!"

"W H Y  THOUGH."

"WHY NOT?!"

"GUYS!" Sabrina yelled, shutting the two up. She then turned to Alyssa, "Continue."

"I remember first getting Yeet." Alyssa sighed dramatically, looking away, "Vivian gave it to me as a present, and Iwould give Yeet daily fly-arounds." The others noticed the girl was choking on her sobs, "B-But n-n-now.."

The girl looked down at the floor and placed her hands over her eyes. After staying like that for almost five minutes, the girl looked up and brushed her hair back, "I'm sorry. I feel so weak by crying."

"You're not weak.." Alex reassured, "At this point it is understandable. Your parake-yeet was very close to you."

"Losing something close to you can be upsetting, but if you want, we can get you another parakeet now." Vivian ordered, as she stood up from her spot.

"Wait... now? Don't we need... you know? Money?" Levin queried. Vivian shook her head in reply.

"We're the zodiacs of Zodiac Street. We don't need to worry about the money here cause we have loads." Vivian then crossed her arms, "But I have a question for Lizzy, Pete and Arlen. Where did you get your pets from?"

"Pet shop." the three zodiacs erplied, confusion in their eyes.

"Perfect." Vivian smiled, making everyone else even more confused, "We're not going to the pet shop to get this new pet."

Her statement made everyone else confused. Soon Tahlia got the message, "I think I know what Vivian is talking about."

The zodiacs are at an animal shelter. But something about the shelter is different.

Instead of the shelter being set indoor, it is outdoors with different sections. There is a section assigned to cats, dogs, birds and even other animals. The only indoor sections were the cat section and the bird section (which was basically an aviary). The zodiacs were amazed.

"An animal shelter!" Giselle cried out, "This is a wise option since animals will get a second chance or finding a home."

"But it really depends on the pet we found, which in this case is birds." Tyler pointed out.

"But there's so many cute animals!" Phoebe sighed as she twirled around, "I WANT TO KEEP THEM ALL."

"Whoa, hold your horses. If we keep them all, me, Carol and you won't be able to handle them all." Sabrina pointed out.

Phoebe pouted in response and gave a sad nod. Vivian took a good look around the area and then turned to her large group of friends, "Tell you what, we should all split up and explore around the area. It would be too suspicious to see twenty-four teenagers walking together as a big group. Think about the animal's perspective."

"No, they would be super happy to see humans." Sienna smiled. She noticed the others were staring at her, "What? I am being honest. They WOULD be happy to see us."

"Anyways.... what should the groups be?" Lily asked, "Have you got a list with you."

"For the first time in forever~" Vivian sang before muttering, "I was super unorganized. So you can go with whoever you want... but Alyssa must stay with me."

"DANGGIT!!!"

"I mean, you HAVE to since we are here to get you a pet."

"Heh... that's true."

"WE get to pick our groups?" Gilbert gasped, "Leo, Cameron, Sienna come with me!"

"Uh-oh." Carol mumbled (since she was next to Gilbert).

"Sorry, I am going with Cleo's group. We're going to see cats!" Sienna smirked.

"HHHHHH TRAITOR!" Gilbert pouted, "Now it's just me, Cameron and Leo since Sienna is so rude and ditched us for cats."

"I'M SORRY!"

"SoRrY dOeSn'T fIt WeLl iN tHiS sItUaTiOn. We're not friends anymore!"

"NUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!"

"I'm kidding. You be you Sienna." Gilbert laughed lightheartedly.

"Yo, Vincent, Skyler, Sabrina you should join their group to make sure that the trio doesn't do anything like let the animals out." Tahlia whispered to Vincent, Skyler and Sabrina. The three exchanged glances and then nodded, walking over to Gilbert's group.

In the end there were four groups that were arranged:
Gilbert, Leo, Cameron, Vincent, Skyler and Sabrina are one group.
Sienna, Cleo, Sam, Aika, Phoebe, Tyler are another group.
Lizzy, Alex, Carol, Giselle, Lily and Levin are another group
while Alyssa, Vivian, Tahlia, Colin, Pete and Arlen are a group together.

After the groups were arranged, Gilbert's group decided to admire the dogs section, Sienna's group decided to admire the cats section, Lizzy's group didn't mind what section they went to, but they ended up going tothe other animals sections, while Alyssa's group visited the bird sections (cause they have to in order of getting a new bird for Alyssa).

Gilbert, Leo and Cameron swooned as they admired some friendly dogs playing with each other in a nice outdoor area, surrounded by a large metal black grid fence. The three had just ditched Skyler, Sabrina and Vincent, and decided to admire the dogs. The three boys noticed a worker playing fetch with the dogs.

"Aww they're so cute!" Cameron swooned, "Look at the cute puppies! They're fabulous!"

"Not as fabulous as moi~" Leo smirked before doing a hair-flip. The male noticed his friends giving him questionable looks, "What?"

"STOP RIGHT THERE!" a female voice shouted. The three boys turned to find Sabrina, Skyler and Vincent standing there. Sabrina looked like she was a police oficer about to arrest, "PUT YOUR HANDS UP."

"Really?" Vincent and Skyler muttered, turning to Sabrina.

"Sorry," Sabrina sweatdropped with a giggle. She then glowered at Gilbert, Cameron and Leo, "How DARE you ditch us. Something could happen to you."

"But nothing bad will happen to us?" Leo asked, blinking in surprise.

"Dogs chasing after you." Skyler pointed out.

"Accidents." Sabrina added.

"Dogs escaping."

"Craziness."

"Oh..." Cameron mumbled before cracking up, "PSSSSSSSH! THAT'S NOTHING."

"To you, not us." Vincent frowned, walking over to Cameron. He then began to poke Cameron on the chest with his pointer finger gently, "You knows what happens."

"That's hot." Leo muttered, noticing Vincent while hiding a laugh. He failed to contain his laughter after noticing Vincent's red face.

"OH MY GOD, WHY?" Sabrina cried out, making random strangers stare at them.

"A-Any...ways... you three better stick with us and not run off again." Skyler ordered, "We almost had a close call."

[MEANWHILE]

Tyler, Phoebe, Aika, Sienna, Sam and Cleo are at the cat section. The cat section is mainly inside a building so that the cats can get sheltered (the dogs also have shelters as well, but they are mainly outside). The six zodiacs all noticed all the cats are able to roam around in their own sections behind glass panes. In each section there was amny activities for the cats to do such as scratching posts, food dispensers, beds, cat toys, and even climbing frames.

The six are currently being toured by Jessica, a female worker with chestnut brown curly hair tied into a high ponytail, green eyes while wearing a light blue polo shirt with black pants and white sneakers. The zodiacs are already enjoying their tour around the section since Jessica was being friendly to them and the cats were SUPER ADORABLE.

"And that's the end of the tour around here. Just remember, if you are ready to adopt, just come see me. I'll be here." Jessica smiled putting her hands on her hips, "Any questions."

"Um... yes." Tyler replied, "Are there any kittens here?"

"Yes there are. There are times where kittens are here, but for the kittens that are dropped off from previous owners, they have their own section." Jessica explained, "Do you want to see them?"

The six zodiacs nodded. Jessica smiled as she led the zodiacs to the kitten section. When they got there, Phoebe, Cleo and Sam were swooning at how adorable the kittens are. Tyler and Aika were watching the three swoon at the kittens while Sienna.... she was looking at something at distance.

She noticed a police officer in the shelter with a little girl. They were both admiring a cat and swooning at it. Sienna heard laughter and talk from the two, and got into thinking mode.

Aika noticed the girl looking distant and walked up to her, "Something wrong?"

Sienna shook her head, "Nothing's wrong. I think I found my occupation."

"Explain."

"You know how I mentioned that I need to think of an occupation, right?" Sienna asked, "Well noticing this now, but I think I want to be a police officer."

"YOU WHAT?!" Tyler shouted, overhearing the conversation. He noticed others were staring at him, "Sorry, you guys get back to whatyou were doing. Don't mind me, I don't like stares. STOP STARING AT ME PEOPLE."

Aika rolled her eyes at the male and turned to Sienna, "Being a police officer is a big responsibility though Sienna."

"I know, but they're heroic and independent. But that's every job like doctors and yeah. But they are still heroes. I feel like it's a cool job."

"If you say so Sienna, it's your choice. I'm not forcing you."

Sienna smiled, "Now thinking about it, I want to help more in the police industry, but I am still thinking."

Aika nodded, "If you do end up in the police industry, I'll be cheering 'GO SIENNA'!"

That made Sienna laugh. The Sagittarius female hugged the female, "Thanks Aika. Don't tell Vivian or Alyssa this, but you make a great leader."

"Aww..." Aika smiled, placing a hand on her chest, "I'm flattered."

"Hey Jessica, what is that cute grey striped kitten in the corner by themselves?" Sam asked, pointing to a kitten in a corner.

"That kitten is most trickiest cat I have ever handled," Jessica sighed, "None of the other cats like to play with her so, she hangs out by herself. I am actually worried about the owners, 'cause that cat is tricky. Her name is Mischief."

"So it's a she?" Sam asked, "Also whatmakes you say that?"

"I remember when Mischief's old owners brought her in here. She was rebelious, but they dropped her off here since that cat is too mischevious." Jessica sighed, shaking her head.

"But Mischief looks adorable. I want to keep her!" Cleo gushed.

To Cleo's surprise, Mischief walked over to the glass pane and looked up at Cleo. The cat then yawned and her eyes twinkled in delight.

"Meow"

"How are we able to hear the cats?" Tyler asked Jessica.

"The glass panes aren't soundproof. They can hear us and we can hear them." Jessica deadpanned, mentally facepalming.

"Ohhhhh."

"MISCHIEF IS SOOO CUTE!" Cleo squealed. She then kneeled down and admired the ktten, "You're a cute kitten aren't you?"

"Mew."

"AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW, I WANT TO TAKE MISCHIEF HOME." Cleo gushed. She then whipped her head towards Aika, "Please?"

"But Vivian might say-"

"OK, I DON'T CARE IF VIVIAN DESPISES IT." Cleo pointed out. She then did puppy dog eyes, "PLEASEEEEEE????"

"Hold on, let me talk this over with Tahlia and Vivian since they need to agree as well."

The other zodiacs watched as Aika got out her phone and decided to call Vivian with facetime. She tapped her foot against the floorboards as she waited for Vivian to pick up. When Vivian picked up, she was also on facetime.

"Hey Aika. Guess what?"

"What?"

"We didn't find a parakeet so Alyssa can can name it a 'parayeet'." Vivian pointed out. She then waked over to Alyssa, who was admiring a blue budgie, "But we found and adopted a budgie, that was named 'Sweety'."

"S W E E T Y." Pete and Colin called out in the background. Vivian facepalmed.

"That's a cute bird, kinda weird name but who am I to judge?" Aika laughed, "Anyways we found this cute kitten named Mischief and Cleo wants to keep her."

"DIDSOMEONESAYKITTENCANISEEIT?" Tahlia asked excitedly, pouncing onto Vivian's back.

"What did you just say Tahlia?" Sam asked, looking over at Aika's phone.

Tahlia sighed and repeated slowly, "Did. Someone. Say. Kitten. Can. I. See. It?"

"Sure, it's right here." Aika smiled, turning her camera to the cat. By the time Mischief and Tahlia locked eyes with each other, Tahlia squealed loudly.

"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!! WHAT AN ADORABLE CAT!! CAN WE KEEP IT VIVIAN? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE???"

"I dunno. Cats are a big responsibility. We need to take them to the vet, and not to mention get the requirements it needs like a bed, food, toys." Vivian pointed out over the call.

"We can buy the items for a cat. We don't have a cat in Zodiac Street yet, so getting one from an animal shelter can be amazing!" Tahlia explained to Vivian, "We can manage."

Vivian sighed, "If you say so, I'll be there to sign the papers."

"YAY! THANKS SIS!" Cleo cheered before turning to the cat and swooning at it again.

Jessica, who was listening to the (rather loud) conversation, blinked in surprise, "So you're adopting Mischief?"

"Yeah we are... well more likely my friend Cleo. Her two housemates are coming over here." Aika smiled, ending the facetime call on her phone.

"I wish you luck with taking care of Mischief, but it's great to find someone willing to adopt her." Jessica smiled, "I'll go get the adoption papers."

Aika nodded back and watched as Jessica walked awa to get the papers. By the time she returned, Vivian and Tahlia have just arrived with Alyssa, Sweety, Arlen, Pete and Colin. After dealing with the adoption process, Mischief was adopted in House 6 and Vivian called everyone else so they can go to the pet shop before going home.

At the pet shop, they brought the requirements for Mischief like a cat bed, scratching post, climbing frame, food etc. Since Alyssa used to have a parakeet, they didn't need to get a bird cage (with a water dish and a food dish, and not to mention ladders, perches and even bird toys) but they did need food for Sweety the budgie.

They also got three goldfish and a fish tank for Gilbert because he demanded it. Even though a lot of money was spent, the zodiacs were happy.

Especially Alyssa, Cleo and Gilbert.
