16|| Dinner Party

For some reason I had thought of an idea where there would be 12 chapters representing a zodiac and that chapter has the male and female zodiac's POV (eg: for the Aries chapter there would be Alex's POV and Alyssa's POV.)
I am still thinking...

Tonight, Tyler is in a confused mood. Why? Cause Cameron and Vincent have been acting weird. The two males had cleaned up the entire house and made sure it looked fancy. They were also dressed in formal suits with ties and groomed their hair. They even made Tyler do the same.

The Taurus male is now lying down on the couch, channel surfing. He heard Cameron carry plates from the kitchen to the veranda in the backyard. He had also heard Vincent mumbling to himself as he checked the house for anything messy. Tyler thought of the many possibilities why his two housemates were acting this way. Maybe their bosses are coming over? Maybe Cameron had invied someone rich.

Tyler shrugged those options off. He had a feeling they would not be true, and besides it's not like it is serious. Tyler ended up finding the perfect show to the TV show.... and it was Masterchef. Tyler stayed silent as  he watched what was happening on the screen. He gripped the TV remote and his mouth watered when he saw the delicious food.
Eventually the TV remote got snatched and the TV got turned off. Tyler sat up and turned to whoever snatched the remote.

There standing behind him, was Vincent, and he did not looked impressed that Tyler isn't doing anything. Tyler sighed and glared at his housemate, "What was that about bro?"

"Instead of helping us with tonight.." Vincent frowned, "You are watching TV."

"Yeah, what about it? It's not like anything important is going to happen tonight." Tyler laughed.

"You're wrong. Something important is happening tonight."

This made Tyler raise an eyebrow, "What's happening tonight."

"All of our friends in Zodiac Street  are coming here for a dinner party," Vincent smiled, "A formal one in fact. We need this place spotless  before the others arrive. Tahlia, Vivian and Cleo are coming here in a couple of minutes to help."

"But Vinny-" Tyler asked, "Why are they coming over here? What is the dinner party for?"

"The thing is-" Vincent started. He then heard the doorbell ring and did a stressed sigh,"Nevermind, you'll figure it out later on. Tahlia, Vivian and Cleo are here I think. I need you and Cleo to put up the fairy lights in the sunroom. Got that?"

Tyler nodded. He stood up, "Where are the fairy lights?"

"Ask Cam. I think they are in the kitchen. Now hurry."

Tyler rolled his eyes and hurried to the kitchen. When he got there he found a cardboard box with the words 'fairy lights' written on in black marker. Tyler sighed, picked up the box and then walked to the sunroom.

It was soon the dinner party. All the zodiacs are now at House 2's sunroom seated at a long table with 12 chairs around it. Fairylights hung down from the roof and the table had an elegant velvet white table cloth along with a gold ribbon around the edge.

Vincent couldn't help but notice how well everyone was dressed. The girls were all wearing elegants dresses while the boys were decked out in suits. Alex however just wore a red shirt with black pants and black polished shoes.

The place was full of the sounds of chatter and the clinking of cuttery and plates. Amist the chatter, only one person was looking distant and remained silent.

Sabrina.

Sabrina was listening to Carol speak to Skyler, Lizzy, Giselle and Alex. She nodded along with the conversation and then turned to Phoebe, who was busy watching Eurovision on Levin's phone with Lily, Levin and Tyler watching. Vincent then noticed the girl looking back at the garden and staring at the stars in the sky. After a while, Sabrina whispered to Sienna something and then excused herself from the table. Then she headed inside the house.
This made Vincent curious.

"Vincent?" a voice whispered. Vincent turned to the voice and noticed it was Sam speaking, "You look thoughtful. Is something up?"

Vincent shook his head, "I am fine. I am not missing my checkers or chess set." He then got into a whisper so that Cameron, Cleo, Tahlia, Vivian and Sam can hear, "Where's Sabrina going?"

"Probably the bathroom." Cameron shrugged, "You know ladies."

Vincent was first confused why Cameron mentioned that, but then his eyes widened and he shook his head. Vivian, Cleo and Tahlia then noticed and they gave Cameron the a death glare. Sam however was stilll confused.

"Wait...why?"

"It's not that important." Vivian interupted, glaring at Cameron.

"WHAT DID I DO?!" Cameron asked.

"No, she said she needs to have time alone." Sienna pointed out, joining into the conversation.

"That's odd, what about?" Vincent asked the Sagittarius female.

"I have no idea, she never mentioned it nor looks upset."

Vincent got up, "I'll go check on here. I'll be back."

The other six nodded. Vincent gave his friends a smile before he headed inside the house, wondering where Sabrina may of gone off to.

Meanwhile Sabrina was on the balcony, seated a chair. She was looking up at the stars admiring them. She then got out her phone and began to scroll through her photos of her with Carol and Phoebe.
Ever since she, Carol and Phoebe have moved into their house in Zodiac Street, things changed for them. Sabrina felt like she isn't that close with Carol and Phoebe like they used to be before...

Ever since they moved into their new house Carol, Phoebe and Sabrina all began to have different options. Carol, for instance would talk about the latest gossip and hang out with Lizzy, Alex and Giselle as well as spend time with Skyler. Phoebe however would nod slowly and mention how fun she was having with Tyler, Lily and Levin. As for Sabrina she would sit in silence as she watched her two friends rambling on about their new friends. It was until then Sabrina knew their friendship would break off one day and they would treat each other as acquaintances and not best friends.

The girl felt tears bubblingin her eyes, but she wiped them off and glanced at the sky. She didn't notice Vincent at the balcony door, watching. The male walked up to the female and sat down on the chair next to her. It was until then Sabrina knew his presence was there but she didn't say anything.

"Admiring the stars I see." the Virgo male pointed out.

Sabrina nodded back, "I've enjoyed stargazing, especially with my grandparents when I visit them back when I was younger." She sighed, "I wish I can still meet them now."

Vincent did a slow nod, "I used to do star-gazing back when I was younger... with my faher. He would point to the constellations and name them for me to say."

"Do you remember them?" Sabrina asked, "Or at least, some?"

"Of course I remember the zodiac constellations and the Big Dipper." Vincent chuckled, "But anyways, what's up?"

"The sky." Sabrina replied, rolling her eyes and chukling.

"Haha, very funny. I am serious. Is something up? You seem distant atthe dinner table."

It is atthis moment Sabrina remained silent. She looked ata photo of her with Carol and Phoebe. Vincent noticed this.

"It's Carol and Phoebe isn't it?"

Sabrina nodded back, "I am just scared of where our friendship is going. I feel like we aren't close like we used to be. Imean Carol has her new friends, and Phoebe has her new friends. But when we are together it feels so awkward..." She looked at Vincent, "I am scared we can't get back together as best friends... I am scared we won't be riends anymore."

"I see the problem.." Vincent mumbled.

"Like I am happy that Carol spends her time with Skyler, Alex, Giselle and Lizzy. I am also happy Phoebe hangs out with Tyler, Lily and Levin... but am I losing their friendship?" Sabrina asked.

"Well for starters, this is no one's fault here. I understand what you feel. Best friends can't stay forever. As we grow  we make new connections and lose the old. It's normal." Vincent pointed out, "At this point I think it is best to move on."

"But I don't want to completely  lose their friendship." Sabrina cried.

"That's what I said when I began to feel a lost connection with Leo, Colin and Arlen. We used to have a best mate thing going on, until we eventually lost onnection. We still say 'hi' and 'bye' and talk to each other, but it's not close."

"What did you do about it?"

"I moved on. I started hanging out with Cameron and then Vivian and Tahlia. They dragged in Cleo and Sam so I was close with them as well. Tyler however... I consider a friend but not a close friend." Vincent replied with a nod, "Because I moved on, I made a bigger set of friends who I am close with."

"I thought you and Cam are enemies."

"Frenemies when it comes to chess and checkers. But we goof around and hang out with each other."

"Oh... but even when I move on, who would I hang out with? I mean everyone has their own squads."

"Hmm.." Vincent mumbled, "How about you hang around with me and my squad. I'll tell them about your problem and we can all see if you are settled or not in the squad."

"You really don't have to do this."

"I reallly have to." Vincent replied, stabnding up, "Meet you at the table."

"Bye.." Sabrina repleid as she watched Vincent walk away. She then glanced at the stars in the sky and smiled to herself.

Maybe Vincent is right... maybe it is time for Sabrina to move on and have a new bunch of best friends...

"I WANT DESSERT." Gilbert yelled, banging his cuttery on the table, "I WANT DESSERT."

"WE WANT DESSERT." Leo, Pete, Alyssa and Colin joined in, "WE WANT DESSERT"

"WE WANT DESSERT! WE WANT DESSERT! WE WANT DESSERT!" the five plus Cleo chanted, banging their cuttery on the table.

"NOT YET-" Vivian cried out, "We need everyone here."

"But everyone is here." Colin frowned.

"Whatare you talking about?" Levin asked in a disgusted tone, "Vincent and Sabrina aren't here."

This of course made Gilbert suspicious but he shrugged it off. Soon Vincent and Sabrina had arrived at the table. Cameron, Vincent and Tyler thenleftthe table and came back with bowls of ice-cream for everyone. Everyone's eyes twinkled when they saw the ice-cream.

"It's home-made as well." Tyler smiled as he and his housemates sat down in their seats.

"I hope it isn't burnt." Pete added.

"HOW DOES ONE BURN ICE-CREAM?" Skyler asked.

"Should I experiment to find out?" Alyssa offered, "Please? I love burning stuff. Especially science labs and old ugly sweaters."

"...."

"..."

"..."

"..."

"...Alyssa no." the others replied.

"F i n e."

"Wait I am still confused." Tyler mumbled, "Why are we doing this dinner party?"

"That was my question as well." Giselle added, "Is something going on?"

"Well you see..... this dinner is not only celebrating Vivian and Tahlia fifth month aniversary...." Cameron mumbled.

"B R O." Skyler muttered.

"Wait I am not done yet. It is also a dinner to celebrateour friendship together. Yes. Things happen, but we should all be grateful to meet each other and have a strong bond not only as a street but as friends." Cameron smiled. He picked up his glass of water and held it up,"To Zodiac Street and its residents!"

Everyone else raised their glasses, "To Zodiac Street and its residents!"

"Man we all look like stars." Cameron pointed out, "We must be STARstruck of each other."

"C A M E R O N." everyone else deadpanned, rolling their eyes at the pun.

And then the dinner party went on. Everyone had enjoyed the the dinner party from the talks to the outfits and foods. The only thing they dislike however is Cameron's awful puns.

Well.... Cameron is the only one that enjoyed it-
