1|| The New Neighbours
Just a note, the first two chapters will be introducing the 24 characters. After that will be the readers' pick of the adventures. This chapter will be focusing on House 8-
Also, it's best if you read their introductions in case you skipped them because of gender.

"This must be it. The house we are moving into."
Carol looked forward at the two-storeyed house in front of her. She examined the light blue bricked house with its large tree in front of it. She also noticed stone slabs leading from the driving to the front door. It is finally the day Carol, along with her two best friends Sabrina and Phoebe, move into their new house.
Phoebe, being the hyper of the three, was thrilled about meeting new people and of course, the parties. Sabrina, however, being the tomboy she is, wasn't that thrilled like Phoebe. She's more excited about starting her new job- her only reason of escape. Carol was in between, but she was more focused on having new adventures.
The three girls were standing outside their new house, House 8 on Zodiac Street watching the movers move in all their furniture. The house is two storeys high and it is in a light blue shade. The house is right next to a two-storey high modern white house (House 7), and in front of a dark red house (House 1). There were other houses in the neighbourhood like a dark blue house (House 4), a dark green house (House 2), another white house (House 3), a light red house (House 5) and a light green house (House 6). All of the houses are two storeys high.
"Tell me why we moved into this small neighbourhood?" Sabrina asked, looking around the neighbourhood. She was taller than the other two and had her dark brown hair tied into a side braid.
"We moved here due to our parents, remember?" Carol replied with a sigh. She tucked a strand of her ginger hair behind her ear and placed her hands on her hips. "They all agreed for the three of us to say at this house to experience freedom and individuality."
"Too many big words. Also, Sabrina's job is in the actual town." Phoebe pointed out. She was almost the same height as Carol. She played with her low ponies. "I am really excited to meet everyone here, I hope they are all nice!"
"Not everyone is going to be nice Phoebe." Sabrina rolled her eyes before mimicking, "You can't just try and impress everyone by being all 'You're nice, so I befriend you!'"
"I don't sound like that," Phoebe crossed her arms.
"Do I care?" Sabrina shrugged, "Besides, we're not in a fairytale."
"I am not trying to..." Phoebe pouted, "Also I know we're not in a fairytale- it's just-" She paused when she noticed Sabrina glancing at her, "Nevermind."
Carol sighed and looked at the house. She already knew her two friends don't get along with each other. Sabrina is more like the type that doesn't want any girly things shoved in front of her face, Phoebe is the complete opposite. Carol turned to her two friends, "How about you guys go pick your rooms?"
"Ok 'mother'." Sabrina frowned.
"Please don't say that." Carol chuckled. She already knew her two friends won't get along perfectly.
"Relax Carol, it's not like we're going to call you Mommy Carol or something." Sabrina then laughed. Phoebe burst out into laughter as well.
"Imagine that! Mommy Carol!" Phoebe pointed out, "Would be a turn of events, huh?"
"Hahaha..." Carol laughed softly before she wore a straight face.
"Carol, me and Sabrina talked and we decided to let you pick your room first." Phoebe smiled at Carol, her eyes already twinkling with joy, "Sabrina and I won't mind what room you picked."
"I already agreed to go with whatever room I had since I am last." Sabrina laughed, "We're just letting you have the first pick since you told us the idea of moving here."
"But won't you two argue over the best room?" Carol asked, raising an eyebrow.
"I don't really care about how pretty or fascinating the room is." Sabrina shrugged, "I only care about my privacy. As long as you both can leave me alone and not tap on the window that is then it's fine by me."
"Carol can have the biggest room!" Phoebe gushed, her eyes shimmering with delight.
"Phoebe. The rooms are all the same size, just different areas upstairs. They all have an adjoined closet and their own little bathroom." Carol chuckled.
"How do you know that?" Sabrina asked.
"I visited this area before while you two were busy." Carol chuckled, "Don't tell me you both forgot."
"I didn't forget!" Phoebe lied before she winked at Sabrina, "It just took a while, that's all."
"Phoebe, I think Carol saw the wink."
Carol indeed saw the wink. She didn't speak up on it, instead, she placed her hands on her waist and raised an eyebrow. Sabrina quickly turned around and walked to the truck and got out a box labelled 'Sabrina'. She turned to her other two friends.
"What are you standing around for? You have things to unpack in your rooms."
"Oh, right." Carol laughed as she and Phoebe walked to the truck to get their boxes.

After a while, the house was decorated with new furniture, and the girls have settled in. Coral was sitting on her white bed with light blue covers. The room also had a white fluffy rug, white dresser, a mirror in the corner, a white desk with a black office chair, white net curtains and also a cute white bookshelf. There was even an Imagine Dragons poster stuck up on one of the walls.
All Carol needs to do is to put up are the photos she had of her friends and family. She had the idea of having the photos pegged on a string and over her bedframe and on the wall. It is just like setting up fairy lights.
The photos were in a box on the desk. She allowed Sabrina and Phoebe along with her parents to pick the photos for her since she wanted to be surprised.
Carol opened the box and the first thing she was greeted was a whole bunch of pictures of her with either Phoebe, Sabrina or both.
"Of course my friends would put their pictures at the top." Carol laughed to herself, as she picked up the photos of her with her friends and put them into a small pile on the desk.
The next few pictures Carol noticed in the box was her with her parents and her younger sixteen-year-old sister Kate. Carol smiled to herself and hugged those photos before making another pile of photos for her family. She wondered what Kate and her parents were doing right now. She also wondered how Kate was doing in her school and how Kate can cope with wheels.
Carol decided to scavenge through the box of photos until she found a photo of her hugging a boy with sandy blonde hair and a green shirt. Carol's eyes instantly teared up and she put the phone down on the table, staring blankly at it.
Carol stared blankly at the photo. She then noticed her eyes were getting watery and she looked up at the roof. She was interrupted by Sabrina walking into the room to see how Carol was doing.
Sabrina noticed Carol staring at the roof. "You okay?"
"No." Carol answered, quickly wiping her tears, "Who decided to put the photo of me and Joel."
Sabrina frowned, "I didn't put the photo. Neither did Phoebe. Perhaps your parents placed it in there."
"But didn't they know we broke up due to him cheating on me?" Carol frowned,
Sabrina nodded slowly. She remembered how her own best friend called her on the day Carol and Joel broke up, "I don't think so.... but remember it's Joel's fault for cheating on a magnificent girl like you with some other girl. You don't need him in your life. There are others more caring than him."
Carol looked down from the roof and turned to her friend "R-Really?"
"Really." Sabrina hugged her best friend back. "They won't come to you quickly though, it takes time. Now would you need any help?"
"Yes, I need to put these photos on these fairy lights with these pegs and make sure it stays in place."
"And how would you do that?"
Carol shrugged, she then got out a small clear box with gold pins. Sabrina nodded.
"That works," Sabrina smiled.
Carol gave a nod and opened the box, "Thanks, Sabrina. What can I do without you?"
"A lot of things actually." Sabrina chuckled, "Now let's put up these fairy lights and photos."
Carol nodded. She and Sabrina then worked together to peg the photos on the fairy lights. They then put gold pins on the wall and carefully secured the fairy lights. Sabrina even got the photo of Carol's ex and ripped it into pieces, throwing them into the wastebasket Carol had set near her desk.
"Thanks for that." Carol laughed. Sabrina smiled back and gave a thumbs up.
"No problem and the room looks amazing." Sabrina admired the room. She then walked towards the door and faced the hallway before turning to Carol. "I'll be heading off to my room now. If you need me, I'll be reading."
"Alright." Carol nodded. She watched as her friend walked away. She then admired her room before he decided to go downstairs to explore.

When she got downstairs, the first thing Carol was greeted with was Phoebe laughing with three males in the living room. Carol tilted her head like a confused, like a lost puppy. She wondered how Phoebe got to know three guys so quickly.
One of the guys had brown hair and glistening dark blue eyes. He wore a purple top with the words 'GAME ON' on it, brown cargo pants and had white socks with dark blue parts at the heel and toe part.
The second guy had light, shoulder-length blonde hair and chocolate brown eyes. He wore black jeans, black socks, a grey shirt and a red plaid jacket. He looked shyer than the first boy, who was talking loudly and laughing with Phoebe.
The third guy, however, wasn't saying much but instead was admiring the room. He had dark blue hair with lighter highlights and blue eyes. He also has light brown skin. He wore a brown jacket, grey jeans and black socks, and had a curious look on his face.
Carol tilted her head and she walked into the room, towards Phoebe. Her friend greeted her with a smile.
"Carol! Hello!" Phoebe smiled, "How is your room?'
Carol nodded, "It went well but.... why is there a picture of me and Joel? We broke up."
"There was a picture of you and Joel?" Phoebe blinked, "Your parents must have packed that in."
Carol groaned and mentally facepalmed. "Typical, I'll call them and tell them that me and Joel broke up a while ago." She noticed the three guys looking at her, "Phoebe, who are these guys?"
"My new friends from this neighbourhood!" Phoebe smiled, then she twirled her hair trying to look apologetic, "Well actually, they're here to welcome us. They saw the moving truck."
"Riiight." Carol sighed before turning to the three guys.
The brown-haired guy stood up and offered his hand for Carol to shake, "You must be Phoebe's friend. I'm Gilbert, this shy blonde guy is Levin and this dyed hair guy is Arlen. We're from House 3, the white house from across the street."
Carol smiled and shook Gilbert's hand, "Nice to meet you. I'm Carol, Phoebe's friend."
"Phoebe has already told us about you on the way here. It's nice to meet you." Arlen smiled from his spot.
"Welcome to Zodiac Street," Levin added.
"Thank you, it's nice meeting all three of you." Carol grinned. She then frowned, "What exactly did Phoebe tell you guys about?"
"She just told us how you are a caring member of the house and there's another girl who is a tomboy." Arlen laughed, "I don't remember the other girl's name."
"Same." Levin and Gilbert chuckled.
"Either way, the girl is a nice person to be with." Carol smiled. She instantly knew they were talking about Sabrina. She spotted Sabrina walk down the stairs to the kitchen.
She also noticed Gilbert staring at Sabrina with wide eyes.
Sabrina noticed Gilbert and frowned, walking over to Carol, "Who's that?"
"That's one of our neighbours." Carol turned to Sabrina who was busy opening a jar of cookies, then back at Gilbert, "That's Sabrina. She's Phoebe and my friend."
"She's stunning-" Gilbert admitted.
Sabrina turned over to where the others were and walked towards them, "Hey Carol, Phoebe and....three guys I never met before including that creepy guy staring at me-"
"SHE CALLED ME CREEPY-" Gilbert squealed.
Sabrina was confused by Gilbert's behaviour. She turned to Carol and Phoebe and mouthed 'Can I go back to my room now?'. Phoebe and Carol both mouthed back 'No.'
"Oh, Sabrina. Meet Arlen, Levin and Gilbert." Phoebe introduced gesturing to each of the males as she said their name, "They're from House 3 from across the street."
"Hello." Arlen and Levin smiled while doing a wave.
Gilbert walked towards Sabrina and took her hand, "Is this an angel before my very eyes?"
Sabrina cringed. "Stop, please, you're embarrassing yourself. I only just met you."
Arlen and Levin laughed loudly at Gilbert's reaction to what Sabrina said. Carol stifled a giggle while Phoebe hid her laughter before she burst into laughter. Gilbert glared at the others.
"Shut. Up." Gilbert glowered, glaring at his housemate, "Well it's nice meeting you three ladies. You're coming to the party tomorrow aren't you?"
"What party?" Sabrina asked.
"Sienna's Neighbourhood Bash at House 5. Her parties are literally THE BOMB." Arlen replied before quickly adding in, "By that I mean, it is going to be fun, not... you know."
"Everyone on this street is invited to communicate with others. We would advise you to bring your swimsuits since there is a pool there." Levin smiled.
"That sounds fun, but would Sienna actually mind three random strangers into her party?" Sabrina asked.
"She invited the street here. She already knows you are new and wants to see you."
"When you put it that way.... we're coming." Phoebe smiled.
"Great!" Arlen smiled as he stood up. Levin and Gilbert also stood up, Arlen looked at the three girls, "We'll see you at the party!"
"Yep, hope to see you there!" Carol smiled as the three guys left the house. After they left she closed the front door and turned to her friends, "What now?"
"Not sure, I'm a little bored and hungry." Sabrina shrugged.
"I have an idea! How about we watch shows on the TV while having pizza? It'll be like a small party for settling in here." Phoebe suggested.
"That's a great idea, I'll help Phoebe pick a movie or show." Sabrina smiled.
"And I'll order the pizza." Carol grinned as she walked away to find the phone.
