"Wake up." The zodiacs all woke up. "NOW! you guys have to get up right now."

"Are we escaping now?" Scorpio was filled with excitement and fear at the same time.

"Yes but we need to leave now."

"Five... More... Minutes," groaned Taurus.

Virgo kissed him and his eyes snapped open. "Come on lazy bones, we're getting out of here."

Cancer rubbed his eyes. "I think I might be a bit tired too."

Then Aquarius kissed him. "Better?"

"Much better."

Capricorn sighed. "Guys, we don't have time for this."

"So, how are we going to escape?" asked Pisces.

"Did you get the key to the cage from Anne?" asked Sagittarius.

Ophiuhus tapped her foot impatiently. "No, but I don't need a key."

Leo grinned. "This is kind of exiting."

Aquarius rolled her eyes. "Yeah. Unless someone gets shot."

"I don't want to be shot again." Aries glanced at the bandage on her arm.

"We're all ready to go," smiled Gemini.

"Good. The security systems are still down and the cage is now unlocked. As soon as you get out, run until you get to the fourth floor. Then use this map and quietly but quickly make your escape. I'll be able to protect you somewhat but my power is like a battery, I can't use it all up or I'll need to rest in order for it to recharge. Good luck." Ophiuchus handed the map to Aries. Then she disappeared.

The constellations opened the cage door and ran up the stairs.

Ophiuhus looked around for Anne. She wasn't in her office sleeping. She must be in the control room trying to start up the systems and alarms again. Then she watched as all twelve zodiacs and Pegasus ran by. Ophiuchus followed them but they couldn't see her.

As usual, the three fire signs were in the front of the group and wouldn't let anyone pass them. The air signs were trying to pass the fire signs for a reaction, the water signs didn't really care and the earth signs were trying to keep everyone quiet so they didn't make too much noise. Pegasus followed behind everyone else.

Ophiuchus ran ahead of everyone, since she was in ghost form so people couldn't see or hear her. Then Ophiuchus saw a bunch of guards that weren't supposed to be there and took care of them.

"Okay guys. We need to be quiet now," hushed Virgo.

"We're already on the fourth floor? Sweet," grinned Gemini.

Cancer tried to catch his breath. "My legs aren't made for climbing all those long stairs."

"Here, hold my hand." Aquarius extended her hand.

"Okay." Cancer held it.

"Shhh! There could be guards around the corner," shushed Aquarius. Then everyone looked around the corner. A bunch of guards were there looking at all twelve zodiacs.

"HEY! It's the- AUGH!" A guard as he fell to his knees in pain. Soon all the other guards also fell.

"Thank you Ophiuchus," muttered Libra.

"This way!" announced Sagittarius. Then the zodiacs ran past the guards.

"When they recover, they'll call for backup. We need to be really quick now," warned Taurus.

Gemini glanced at the map over Aries' shoulder. "We're not too far from the next lot of stairs."

Pisces panted. "If only there were elevators."

Leo grinned "Nah. I like the exercise."

"Queens are supposed to have people to do all the stair climbing for them," joked Sagittarius.

"Then let your future king help you out. I'll carry you." Capricorn extended his arms.

"This queen doesn't need no guy to help her out." Sagittarius picked up Capricorn and carried him.

"Heh. Look at little Capricorn in his girlfriend's arms," tormented Scorpio. Capricorn stuck his tongue at him.

"SHHHHH! We're approaching the third floor. This is where most of the guards are," hushed Virgo. Everyone quietly walked up the stairs. Then everything went dark.

"I think the lights went out," whispered Pegasus.

"Oh wow. I forgot she was there," whispered Libra.

"I think we all did," said Aquarius. Then the lights all came back on.

"What just happened?" asked Leo.

Ophiuchus appeared. "I broke into the control rooms on each floor and crashed all the lights. The only people that can see in the dark is you guys. But that's all thanks to me."

"Anymore hidden abilities we should know about?" asked Scorpio.

"Not yet. Be careful, the first lot of guards notified Anne and the others of your escape. Now you're all targets." Then she disappeared.

"This way!" announced Aries and they all quietly ran forward.

"OVER THERE!" yelled a guard and the zodiacs heard gunshots.

"RUN!" yelled Pisces and everyone ran forward ignoring the amount of noise they were making. Once they got up the next set of stairs, everyone stopped to catch their breath.

"It's dark so they might not know where we went," whispered Cancer.

"Did anyone get shot?" asked Taurus. No one answered.

Sagittarius shrugged. "Well, if no one said anything then I guess everyone's alright."

Capricorn facepalmed. "You can't answer if you're dead."

"Shit. Call out everyone's names!" demanded Scorpio. Then Virgo called out everyone's names and everyone was there.

"You forgot Pegasus," said Sagittarius.

"Doesn't matter, I'm here."

"Come on we need to keep moving!" announced Gemini. Everyone kept moving forward.

"WHAT?!? There no way they could of escaped!" Anne angrily gripped the bars as she looked at the open cage.

"Well, they did," shrugged John, Anne's favourite guard.

"Where were all the guards that were hired to GUARD THIS CAGE!!!"

"They've been found tied up in a closet."

"This isn't possible. I have the key right here!" Anne held the key to the cage up in the air.

"I don't think a key was used."

"Huh." Anne looked at the keyhole.

"I made the keyhole so that every time it was opened, there would be a little alarm that goes off."

"But how else could they-" Then Anne gasped.

"What?"

"How else could the door be opened? This is the work of my sister. Come along John and call backup. I have fourteen constellations to deal with." Anne ran over to the hidden elevator that only she knew about.

"You're now on the second floor and making good progress." Ophiuchus nodded in approval.

"Do you know where Anne is?" asked Gemini.

"She probably broke her back and can't get up," snickered Capricorn.

Scorpio smirked. "Yeah. Because her bones and so old and fragile."

"OHHHHHHHHH!" screamed Aries, Leo and Sagittarius.

Aquarius pointed at the fire signs. "The three of you would make amazing cheerleaders."

"Hey! I can be a cheerleader too!" Pisces did a kart wheel.

"Guys. Be careful. The guards don't know we're here yet so try to be quiet," warned Virgo.

"Sorry," mumbled Pisces.

Taurus smiled. "One more set of stairs and we're free."

Cancer sighed. "Unless Anne's waiting for us and blocking the stairs."

"I guess we'll see once we get there. If she's there then I don't know. But if she's too late then we're free," smiled Libra.

Taurus nodded. "Let's just hope she had trouble controlling her guards."

"Free," said Scorpio. The word felt unusual as it escaped his lips. Free, soon we all might be free. If we don't get shot we will all be free. Freedom at last. Then we can recover from this incident and live the rest of our lives. Free.

"Stairs!"  Virgo pointed ahead of her. Everyone ran up the stairs and slowly snuck out of the cupboard.

"We're in the house. Find the door and were out!" announced Sagittarius. Her heart was beating fast and the adrenaline was pumping through her and she had to hold herself back from charging out that door and running until her legs couldn't run anymore.

"Quickly, this way!" Aries ran ahead of everyone else. Then everyone ran into the living room when all the lights came on.

"What's going on?" asked Leo.

"Shit," muttered Scorpio. The only thing standing in between the zodiacs and the door to freedom, was Anne, accompanied by a bunch of guards who each pointed their guns at the zodiacs.
