"There. Your little fort is complete," announced Taurus. Everyone except for Gemini (who was inside the house with Quinn) and Leo (who was watching the others with snacks) admired the little fort they just built.

"There's enough room for maybe seven or eight people to fit in there," said Virgo.

"That's perfect! Thanks guys." Aquarius smiled at the hew dog house.

"Yeah. We did a very good job," admitted Libra.

"Who drew the dragon on the back?" asked Scorpio. "That's cool!"

"I guess we'll never know," shrugged Aries.

"What do we do now?" asked Sagittarius.

"I'm kind of thirsty." Capricorn went inside the house.

"Let's go make smoothies for all our hard work!" cheered Cancer who ran after Capricorn.

"Great idea."  Virgo followed.

"And I'll make some cupcakes," suggested Libra.

"I can help!"  Leo jumped up from his chair.

"Don't you have a broken arm?" asked Aquarius.

Leo grinned. "You only need one arm to scoop out some cookie dough."

"You mean cake batter?" asked Libra.

"Yeah! That." Then everyone went inside.

Gemini heard everyone else walking inside, so he took a book bag and put Quinn in there. He made sure to zip it up but not all the way so that Quinn could breathe. Then Gemini carefully but quickly went downstairs hoping that Quinn wouldn't bark. When Gemini walked in the pool room, Aquarius was in the hot tub.

"Is Quinn in there?" asked Aquarius.

"Yeah. Go get Libra."

"She's baking."

"So? See if she can ask someone else to bake." Then he ran outside. Gemini looked for the dog fort that the others built. He found it behind the trees with the tree houses. It was a fort that was like a really big dog house. Once inside the fort, Gemini took Quinn out of the bag and put on the collar that Libra and Aquarius picked out for him. Then he attached Quinn's collar to a little leash and attached to leash to the inside of the dog house.

Gemini was petting Quinn when Aquarius and Libra crawled in with Gemini. Aquarius had a little food bowl and a water bowl and placed it down in a corner. Libra gave Quinn some toys and her pillow that Quinn seemed to enjoy sleeping on.

"The others will find out about him eventually," sighed Aquarius.

Libra bit her lip. "I think we might need to tell them."

"But what if they won't let us keep him?" asked Gemini.

Libra crossed her arms. "Then we don't give up until they do."

Gemini sighed."You guys are right. Let's do it now."

"Come on." Aquarius smiled hopefully at the little dog.

(Knock, knock)

Pisces opened the door. "Oh. Hi Gemini, Aqua and-" Pisces froze when she saw the cute little puppy in Libra's arms. "OMG WHAT THE HECK IS THAT?!? OMG I THINK MY HEART JUST DIED AHHHHH ITS SO CUTE AND FLUFFY OMG OMG OMG CAN WE KEEP IT? IS THAT OUR NEW PET DOG? PLEASE TELL ME YES PLEASE? OMG IT'S STICKING OUT ITS TONGUE! THE CUTENESS IS TOO MUCH FOR ME AHHHH!" Pisces fainted.

"Pisces!" Scorpio ran over and picked her up. Then he looked at the air signs and froze. Please tell me that's our new cute little dog! That's the cutest dog I've ever seen. Thought Scorpio. Then he frowned as the air signs noticed Scorpio's huge smile and look of joy in his eyes. "Oh cool. Nice dog." Scorpio picked up Pisces and brought her to the couch.

"What's going on? Did Pisces faint?" asked Virgo. Then she walked over. "She shouldn't be sitting up here, she needs to lie down and her legs should be positioned like this." Virgo rearranged Pisces' body. Libra stepped out of view before Virgo turned around.

"Can you call everyone else down?" asked Aquarius.

"Sure, why?" asked Virgo.

"We have a surprise!" announced Gemini.

"Fine." Then Virgo called everyone downstairs. Soon all the zodiacs were crowded around the door.

"What's going on?" asked Aries.

"Is someone dead?" asked Sagittarius.

"You sounded a little too excited at the thought of someone being dead," said Capricorn.

"I suspect she's a murderer!" announced Leo, dramatically.

Taurus rolled his eyes. "Yes, because that absolutely makes sense."

"What is it? Why are the air signs outside?" asked Cancer.

"Maybe if you all would be quiet, we'd tell you." said Aquarius. Everyone fell silent.

Libra stepped in front of the door holding Quinn. Everyone's eyes went wide. "Aquarius and I found this puppy outside yesterday. He was abandoned in a box on the side of the road. It would be terrible to just leave him so we brought him here."

"So I know we haven't had a dog before and technically-"

"CAN WE KEEP HIM?!?" asked Gemini interrupting Aquarius who glared at him.

"Oh isn't that a cute little puppy!" Virgo smiled.

"But, we don't know how to raise a dog. And the house isn't prepared for a dog and stuff," explained Capricorn.

"I thought you were fun Cap." Sagittarius crossed her arms.

"Hey, it's not that I'm not fun. It's just that... Well we can't keep him."

"So what do you want us to do with him?" screamed Libra.

"The house isn't prepared for a dog, Caps right about that. But I really want to keep him," whined Virgo.

"What needs to be prepared?" asked Aquarius.

"What happens if he poops or pees on the floor, or chews on something left around on the floor?" asked Aries.

"Listen we all really want to keep him, but we're just not ready for a dog." Capricorn sighed. He wanted to keep it, but he knew it wasn't a good idea.

"Well I'm not coming inside until we can keep him!" Gemini walked around the house.

"Same." Libra walked away with Quinn.

"Don't look at me, I'm with them." Aquarius followed the other air signs.

Leo rose his eyebrows. "Well that went smoothly." Capricorn lightly punched the cast on his arm.

Pisces woke up. "Can we keep him?"

"What? Oh." Scorpio kissed her on the forehead.

"They said no because the house isn't prepared but to me that's bullshit." Sagittarius pouted with her arms crossed.

"It's not bullshit if it chews on a wire," added Capricorn.

"What happened to it? You didn't kick it out of the house did you?" asked Pisces, glaring at Capricorn.

"Of course not. The air signs are out there in the rain with him," explained Virgo.

"Wait it's raining?" asked Cancer who was worried about Aquarius.

Aries thought about the air signs spending the night in the rain. "They need to come inside."

"Yeah!" agreed Leo.

"I've already told them that! They said they'll be find with all their pillows, blankets, food and the fort we built as shelter," explained Taurus.

"What? We're really leaving them out there?" asked Scorpio.

Taurus grunted. "We can't make them come inside. They're too stubborn!"

Sagittarius looked at Capricorn with wide eyes. "Then let the stupid dog inside."

Capricorn sighed. "It's not that simple."

"You know what? Gemini ran away from this house for my freedom. I'm joining them outside." Aries grabbed her coat, shoes and ran outside.

"Libra did the same for me."  Leo who put on his coat and slowly put on his shoes with his not broken arm. Then he followed Aries.

"Aquarius would do the same for me." Cancer as he got his stuff and followed Leo and Aries.

"Not again!" whined Virgo.

Taurus patted Virgo on the back. "Relax. This time it isn't a big fight."

"And no one ran away, they're just in the backyard," added Scorpio.

"So let's start preparing the house for a dog." said Pisces.

"I agree. Someone go to the store to get one of those, well, not a cage but like a little playpen for in the house," ordered Sagittarius.

"Yeah. Then we can let the others inside," said Scorpio.

Virgo pointed at Capricorn. "Okay. I volunteer Capricorn to go and get the stuff to make the house okay for the dog."

"I'll gladly do it." Capricorn got up.

"Great. But will the others really be okay out there in the rain?" asked Taurus.

"We built a good little fort, they'll be dry and with all those blankets and quilts Gemini took outside is say they'll be warm too," explained Scorpio.

"I'm going to join the others." Sagittarius stood up.

Capricorn grabbed her by the waist. "No you're not."

"Why not?"

"Because, we need everyone else in here. I'd prefer if I didn't have to worry about you being out there with them, then I'd have one more person to worry about. Please Sag, stay inside."

"Ugh fine." Then Capricorn went to get the stuff.
