Chapter 5
Play music 🎶

Leo had it easy, he knew that. He was born into a rich, loving family as a white, cis man. He's never had to struggle for money, or popularity, in theory he could get anything he wanted.
He was lucky, privileged, and Leo knew that, he always made sure he never took advantage of that. That he helped people regardless. So was it selfish that he wanted more.
No matter how many times he told himself that his life was perfect, that he didn't need to be wishing for something extra, he couldn't stop glancing at the door everytime it opened. What was he looking for?
Well, he knew that. A certain red headed girl who he's been pining over for years. But she wouldn't be here, why did he think she would.
"Leo, dude, come over and hang with us" Capricorn drunkenly said slinging his arm over Leo's shoulder. "This is you're party dude, you should be enjoying yourself, and that's starts by finishing this drink, maybe finding a girl for tonight aye" Leo laughed at his friend, he made a promise to himself that he wouldn't get drunk tonight, I mean someone had to stay sober right?
"Yeah, no I'm good man" Leo shouted back over the loud music.
"But dude literally our whole school has come, look even Virgo is here" he replied pointing at a blonde girl over in the corner, who definitely didn't look like she was enjoying herself. "Actually she looks fire as fuck tonight, YO VIRGO" and there went Capricorn again, heading over to the now very annoyed girl.
Leo sighed and laughed shaking his head. Maybe he should get a drink, it would probably calm his nerves.
However at that moment, as if a god was looking down on Leo's prayer, the door to his house opened again. And she walked through, in a flowing dark green dress, her hair curled to perfection. Pisces walked in behind her as they laughed.
She looked stunning.
It took Leo a second to realise what was happening. Slightly too fast he walked towards her, a large gleaming smile on his face.
"Libra" he greeted, Libra turned to face him a smile on her face. Her forest green eyes meeting his. For the first time in forever Leo was speechless.
"Leo, um, thanks so much for inviting me" Libra continued tucking a stray stand off her behind her ear.
"It fine, I'm so glad you could make it, I was worried you wouldn't come" he knew from when they were kids that Libras parents weren't a fan of parties or anything other than studying and manners.
They were the complete opposite of his parents, who were much more laid back, and felt parties were a good life lesson.
"Yeah well, I managed to pursued my parents to let me come, I wouldn't have missed this"
"I'm glad"
The two stared at each other for a while, cheesy smiles across their faces. Neither realised Pisces was behind them looking quite confused.
"Wow, did everyone get such a personal welcoming, didn't know it was that kind of party" Pisces joked. Crossing her arms as she intruded the twos gazing session.
Annoyed that the nice moment had been interrupted Leo replied "Evening, Pisces nice to see you again"
"Likewise" Pisces had been in his class when they were little, he didn't remember much of her, except that she used to cry when the boys stepped on the ants outside.
"How are you finding the move back here" he asked politely, for most of the people both in the town and school, leaving here was a bit of an anomaly. Most people were born here, went to school here, got married here and eventual raised there kids here.
Well it was a safe life, but also boring. Leo wanted way more than this town, he dreamed of visiting foreign cities and learning new cultures, he'd already applied to help out at some schools in Kenya after college, but if his parents ask he's actually training to be a layer or something.
"It's nice actually, to see everyone that is" Pisces replied, looking out into the crowd of kids "It's much colder here though, that might take some more getting used to"
"Well there's snacks and drinks over there, make yourselves at home I guess, I've just got to go make sure nothing important has been broken"
"Oh, ok thanks, I'll see you later then?" Libra asked looking back into his eyes, he felt a lump in his throat as he tried to speak"
"Yeah of course" why would he say that, he could of spent ages talking to her, why did he cut the conversation so short.
Leo walked off before he could get lost in her green eyes again, her dazzling green eyes. No, Leo focus. He knew the reality of them dating was slim, not because he didn't want it with all his heart, but because her parents weren't exactly okay with boyfriends, or girlfriends for that matter, and although his friends would never say anything, she wasn't the girl he was supposed to be going for. She was smart and quiet and nice, which was great, but the girls interested in him were very different.
The party carried on for hours, most people had left already with the exception of a few, when Libra went to find Leo. He was left washing up the dishes that had been used that night.
"Hey" her voices caused him to turn around abruptly.
"Hey, I thought you left already" I mean it was past 12 Leo was sure her parents would of had a curfew.
"Me, Pisces and a few other thought we'd help clean up, I'm staying over at hers tonight so there's no need for me to worry about a curfew" oh well that explains a lot.
"Wow, how'd you get your parents to agree to that" Leo regretted that as soon as it came out of his mouth.
"I mean just that... well.... I didn't mean..."
Libra simply laughed at his embarrassment, which made Leo laugh as well. "It's fine, they sort of owed me a favour anyway, and they trust Pisces for some strange reason" she explained with a laugh. "Do you need help with those?" She asked pointing at the dishes.
Leo looked back at them, "um, yeah sure that would be great thanks"
For a few minutes they stood there next to each other, washing the dishes in silence, both having so much got say to the other.
"Earlier you seemed in a hurry to leave, I just wanted to check that everything was okay" she asked in concern breaking the silence.
"No, yeah I'm fine, it's just stressful throwing parties you know" he lied.
"For someone who hates parties you throw an awful lot of them"
"Well that's mainly Cap throwing them, just at my house" that was partly true, Capricorn was much more of a part animal then he was, but it was unfair to place the blame completely on him. Leo did like throwing parties actually, even the stress of it felt good. He liked knowing he had a place with his classmates as the guy who threw the best parties, even if that was slightly selfish.
"Well, I don't know if that's completely true, but I hope you're dealing with all that stress" Leo was angry at himself, she knew he was lying of course she did. Why can't he just tell her the truth, that he had a massive crush on her, and couldn't focus when she was even in the same room as him.
"Actually Libra, it's just that I" Leo turned towards her, a look of intrigue and confusion spread across her face.
"Well I um..." his confession was cut short with a loud bang echoing from outside his house. They both jumped as the turned towards the window.
Pisces and Scorpio ran into the room, with Aries and Taurus not far behind them. "Did you guys hear that" Pisces asked turning to them. Leo was surprised to see Scorpio here, he didn't think he was a party person, or a person person to be frank.
"I'm sure the whole neighbourhood heard that" Capricorn said as him, Sagittarius, Aquarius and Gemini came to look out the window as well.
Another loud bang wa shears again, this time a roar followed it. The teens all jumped in fear, Capricorn slowly opened the door and went outside to see what it was.
Eventually they all followed him. Virgo and Cancer were already out there searching around to find the noise.
Leo would be lying if he said he wasn't terrified, but he had to be logical here, nothing out there
Could be that mad, at worse it's a bear, and with a large group outside nothing truly bad would happen.
He heard thing getting knocked over in the wooden shed they had in the back of his garden. Nobody used it much and Leo did not want to check there to see what was making the noise.
But the clashing noises only got louder so he headed towards the large door, hands shaking, his breath catching in his throat. He reached to push the door, but before he could he was thrown back onto the grass. Something massive stormed through the shed knocking him back in the process.
He heard someone scream his name as the commotion got louder. He looked up to see a massive glowing beast, it has the tail of a fish and a head of dragon, with massive webbed claws and blood curdling red eyes.
Leo thought he hit his head when he fell, because this had to be a hallucination. He looked around at the group surrounding him, Libra kneeling next to him where he fell. They were all looking up at the monster in fear.
Maybe they're all hallucinating, that's possible right.
The giant creature turned to them, evil glimmered in its eyes as it let out a deafening scream. The teens cowered and covered there ears. As they look back up at the beast one though entered Leo's mind.
Shit.
