"What are you doing?"
Emilia let out a gasp, turning around frightened to see Sam and Penny standing in the doorway. Sam had her arms crossed with an eyebrow raised in suspicion, while Penny had a worried expression.
"I-I was just, um," Emilia looked around the room, trying to think of a decent lie. "Looking for my necklace."
"It's around your neck," Sam pointed out.
"That's because I found it, duh," Emilia replied, laughing nervously as the two Water Signs just stared at her. Emilia stood up, walking past Penny and Sam and heading towards the exit.
"Wait," Penny said, causing Emilia to stop in her tracks and turn around. She barely got time to blink as her necklace was ripped off her neck, causing her eyes to instantly widen.
Her blonde hair started turning white and her baby blue eyes started turning red, as Caitlin's features started disappearing from Emilia. She instantly reached for her necklace, easily ripping it out of Penny's hand, who was too shocked to move. Emilia quickly put it back around her neck, breathing out in relief as Caitlin's features came back.
Penny and Sam just stood in shock, wondering if they were seeing things.
"W-well, I'm still hungry, so I'm gonna go to the cafeteria," Emilia said, turning around and grabbing a hold of the doorknob.
"My favorite color."
"What?" Emilia asked, looking back at Sam.
"What's my favorite color?" Sam demanded, keeping her suspicious glare locked on Emilia.
"Is this really necessary?" Emilia replied, raising an eyebrow at the black-haired girl, smiling at her nervously.
"What's my favorite color?" Sam asked again, a little more forceful this time. Emilia mentally sweatdropped, she'd have to guess her way out of this.
"Blue."
"Favorite food?"
"Pizza."
"Who's my crush?"
"C-Cameron?"
"Red, tacos, and Sam doesn't have a crush," Penny answered, her suspicion only growing. "And these were the easy questions..."
"You're not Caitlin, are you?" Sam asked, crossing her arms as she looked down at the small blonde.
It was silent for a moment, Emilia was too in shock to do anything.
"Look, we can do this the easy or the hard way," Sam said. She walked up to Emilia and grabbed her chin gently, pulling her face closer to her own. "You can tell us what's going on, or we can take you to Margaret."
(I ship Sam and Emilia now dammit =3=)
Tears watered in Emilia's eyes as she looked up at the intimidating black-haired girl. "Please don't take me to Margaret, I'll tell you everything!"
Sam smirked at Emilia, letting go of her chin and taking a step back as Emilia fell to her knees.
"Fist, tell us who you are," Sam demanded. Emilia stared at the floor in front of her as tears threatened to escape. She reached for her necklace, grabbing a hold of it.
"He's gonna kill me..." Emilia whispered as a tear rolled down her cheek, and pulled off her necklace, letting her natural features take place.
She had long white hair and red eyes. She looked as if she was between 18 - 20 years old, and was quite long and slim. She looked up at the two Water Sign girls.
"My name is Emilia, I'm a shapeshifter who was sent here for information."
"Just information?" Penny asked.
"Yes, I swear," Emilia replied. "Shapeshifting is my only ability, I don't have any other powers."
"But if you're here..." Penny started, her eyes widening. Sam crouched down in front of Emilia, looking her right in the eyes with her scary expression.
"Where's Caitlin?"
--
"You should eat, sweetheart."
Caitlin looked up from her sitting position, seeing Owen sliding a tray of food into the cell. He had used magic to make the tray slide through the bars.
"Your food tastes like crap," Caitlin pointed out unamused, averting her gaze back to the stone walls, tracing her finger over the stones out of boredom.
"This isn't a hotel, honey," Owen replied, sending a small smirk to the blonde girl. Caitlin only ignored him, causing him to sigh after a moment, standing up from his crouching position and walking over to the chair across from the cell. He sat down, keeping his eyes locked on Caitlin. Caitlin felt his gaze, and turned her attention to him after a few minutes of just staring.
"What?" She asked, hoping he would stop staring at her.
"Just thinking," he replied, tilting his head slightly and keeping his gaze on the baby blue-eyed girl. An idea crossed his mind, causing him to light up and stand up from the chair, crouching by Caitlin's cell.
"You know," he started, grabbing one of the bars. "You could join us."
Owen now had Caitlin's full attention. "What do you mean?"
"You can join Olivia, father and I!" He continued. His usual smirk was replaced by a genuine grin. "I'm sure they'd be happy to have another person on our team!"
"What are you guys even trying to accomplish?" Caitlin asked. "Why do you guys want to kill queen Claireen so badly?"
"Kill?"
Caitlin's eyes widened in shock; Owen looked genuinely confused.
"Why would father kill the woman he loves?"
"What are you even talking about?" Caitlin asked. "Sullivan wants to kill us Zodiac Signs because we have the power to bring Claireen back, and then he's planning on killing queen Claireen and taking her place."
"What are you even talking about?" Owen asked, his eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "The only one father wants to kill is that faker."
To say Caitlin was confused was an understatement.
"Who told you all that?" Owen asked, tilting his head to the side in confusion.
"Our headmistress, Margaret," Caitlin replied, causing Owen to grit his teeth.
"Faker," he spat under his breath, before his expression turned completely serious and he leaned closer to the bars, as to come closer to Caitlin. "Look, I'm not supposed to say anything to you, but everything your headmistress has told you is a lie."
"Owen, what have I told you about chatting with the prisoner?"
Owen jumped, standing up and turning around. Caitlin looked past the twin, seeing none other than the famous Sullivan standing in the doorway. He had brown locks, along with dark eyes. He didn't seem too old, maybe in his late twenties. Caitlin almost failed to notice the body that hung over his shoulder.
"Sorry, father," Owen apologized, hanging his head in shame. Sullivan left a pat on his back as he walked past him, causing him to bring his head back up. Sullivan walked over to Caitlin's cell, opening the cell door and throwing the body in before closing the door again. A click was heard, meaning the door had locked.
"I brought you some company," Sullivan smirked, before walking back to the door. "Come, Owen."
Sullivan held the door open as Owen left, then turned back to face Caitlin.
"This is what happens when someone disobeys me," he said, before closing the door behind him.
