"Th-they're all gone..." Gemma breathed out, her eyes wide as she fell back a bit, holding onto Lia's hand. The remaining Zodiac Signs looked around the infirmary in shock, standing a bit behind Margaret and Clara.
"Stay back," Margaret ordered as she held her hand out at the Zodiac Signs, her back facing them. She bent down, noticing a drop of red fluid on the wood floor. She lifted her finger upwards, using her telekinesis to make the droplet float up, so she could get a better look of it.
"Blood," she muttered, letting the drop of blood fall back to the floor. She stood back up, letting her eyes avert around the room. A drop of blood on the door of the closet in the corner of the infirmary caught Margaret's eyes, causing her to use her telekinesis and fling the doors open.
Margaret's eyes widened in horror as Clara let out a horrified scream, looking away and covering her mouth to stop herself from vomiting.
Corpses had been stuffed inside the closet and had came rolling out. Margaret recognized them as Sullivan's soldiers from the uniforms. The Zodiac Signs rushed inside seeing Margaret and Clara's reaction, stopping once they noticed the corpses.
Multiple students wanted to scream, but no one was able to let out any sounds, frozen in utter horror. The soldiers had been killed in brutal ways, some missing body parts or even eyeballs or organs. The amazing part was that whoever had done this, had done an amazing job at cleaning up the mess, especially in such little time.
"It wasn't Sullivan that took them," Margaret thought out loud, looking over at Clara with a horrified expression. "We have another enemy."
--
"Are you ok?"
Caitlin looked over at Lance with slight concern, he had been deep in thought and mumbling for a while now. Lance looked over at the concerned girl, ignoring her question.
"Something doesn't add up," he pointed out. "Sullivan kidnaps you, keeps you locked up for days, then lets you off easy, and now your powers are missing?"
"I admit that is suspicious," Caitlin admitted, " But I've used my powers after escaping."
"Maybe whatever he did to you only kicks in after a while?" Lance suggested. "I know Sullivan well, he doesn't let anyone he needs go that easy."
"But he sent guards after us," Caitlin pointed out, tilting her head to the side.
Lance shook his head. "After Olivia."
"You do have a point..." Caitlin admitted. "All 24 Zodiac Signs have to be together to awaken queen Claireen, so taking my powers would keep us from saving her..."
"Yeah, but all 24 Zodiac Signs are needed to kill her too," Lance explained. "Unless he wants to keep her asleep forever, but he'll never have full control over Zodiac until she's dead. Unless..." Lance looked away for a moment.
"Unless what?" Caitlin asked, causing Lance to look back over at her.
"There is another way of awakening or killing her," he replied. "Having the power of all 24 students is the same as having all 24 Signs together... He could be trying to take everyone's power."
"He used me as bait..." Caitlin thought out loud, her eyes widening.
Lance nodded. "He let you go because he doesn't need you anymore. But right now, I'm more worried about what's gonna happen when that psychopath comes back and you still don't have your powers."
"I guess all we can do is stall..." Caitlin replied.
Lance nodded, looking down at his chest. Caitlin hadn't noticed it until now, but Lance had a necklace with a small, wooden bird on it. Lance looked down at it sadly, before getting lost in his thoughts.

"Excuse me, could you tell me how to get to the Ophiuchus kingdom from here?"
Lukas had walked up to one of the booths downtown, asking the guy running the booth for directions. He had his innocent 13-year-old smile on his face, holding a map up to the guy. Ava stood farther away, watching closely as the guy had his full attention on the boy in front of him.
"Ophiuchus, eh? What business does a kid like you have there?" The man asked.
"That's my concern," Lukas replied, keeping his childlike smile. The man chuckled at him, grabbing the map and giving directions. Lukas looked over at the girl a few feet away from him and nodded before looking back over at the man in front of him, as the girl started putting various fruits and loafs of bread in her bag.
"If you follow this road, you'll eventually-- Oi, what do you think you're doing?!"
Ava and Lukas instantly ran away, running through the crowd of people downtown with the man following close behind. Thankfully for the eight-and-thirteen-year-olds, it was easy for them to slip through the crowd.
They ran into an alley, stopping to catch their breath.
"I think we lost him," Lukas said, looking over at his sister, who nodded in response. They instantly let out a gasp as they both felt a hand on their shoulder, turning around to see the guy from before. He had an angry look on his face as he crossed his arms.
"I-I'm sorry!" Lukas quickly apologized. "Please don't hurt us!"
"I'm not going to hurt you," the guy said, letting his arms fall to his sides as he relaxed a bit. "Just tell me why children like you were stealing from me."
"W-we're starving," Lance explained truthfully, looking up at the man with pleading eyes. Both children had dirty and ripped up clothing, and looked as if they hadn't had a bath in quite some time.
"Where's your parents?" The man asked. Lukas was silent for a moment, swallowing the lump in his throat.
"The guards got them," he answered. "All we have is each other."
The man let out a sigh, sending a small smile to the two children. "Keep the food."
"R-really?" Ava asked, her eyes lighting up as she looked up at the man. She grabbed a hold of Lukas' hand, handing onto it.
"Yes," the man replied, causing Ava's grin to widen. "You guys need it."
"Thank you!" Ava exclaimed, running into the man's stomach and giving him a hug. He chuckled, patting Ava's head before she let go.
"What's your names?" The man asked.
"I'm Lukas and this is my little sister Ava," Lukas replied, grabbing a hold of Ava's hand.
"Well, Lukas and Ava," the man started, kneeling down to the two's level. "I'd like you two to have this for your troubles." He put his hand in his pocket, pulling out an object. Ava held out her hand and the man put the object in her hands.
"Thank you!" Ava thanked, smiling happily as she looked down at the object. It was a small wooden bird, seemingly hand carved.
"What are you gonna call it?" The man asked, smiling at the small girl.
Ava looked up at Lukas, sending him a smile before looking back over at the man in front of them. "Lance."
"Lance?" Lukas asked. "What kind of name is that? I'm sure it's not fitting for a bird."
"It's not, that's why I like it," Ava replied, looking up at her brother. "It's unique. It makes him special."
"I like the name," the man said, smiling softly at the eight year old, who grinned in response.
"Fine, whatever," Lukas said, smiling at his sister. "Lance it is then."

Fun fact: I chose the remaining Zodiac Signs by random, and I regret it now *cri* I wish I put more thought into it so I could start on ships and friendships and bromances TwT I wish I had switched two of them out with Leo and Grayson so I could start their bromance :')
So, I made fanart of Stefan, and omfg sO hAwT. Owen has some competition now ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Anyway, since I feel like everyone hates the Pisces x Scorpio ship I was gonna try to stay away from Penny x Stefan but as I was drawing him, I was imagining so many different scenarios of them together and oml they are so beautiful together TwT
