Chapter One

Aries' POV

It was only the first day of school, and I was already close to being late.

I dashed down the road towards the school, with one part of my leather jacket on my arm and the other bit dragging on the concrete. A piece of bread was hanging out of my mouth (I didn't have the time to toast it) and my fly was unzipped.

Oh, God. I'd better change that.

I managed to pull up the zipper with my two free fingers (I had a lot to carry) and sprinted into the school.

Once I got inside, I was surprised to see that everyone was still in the hallway. Wasn't class about to start? Well, whatever. At least I wouldn't be the only late one.

Then, I remembered that my clock was set fifteen minutes fast so I would get ready quicker. Damn it! I forgot again.

After I got myself organized and fully put on my jacket, I noticed a key sitting loosely in my pocket. Oh yeah, the key to my dorm! I should probably get all my stuff into my room before the bell rings, I thought.

Realizing that I didn't know where the dorms were, I walked towards the nearest guy to see if he could help me out.

"Hey,"

The guy looked at me with a confused expression for a moment, but went back to smiling again.
"Hi, what's up?" He asked.

I looked around the school while saying,
"Do you know where the dorms are? I just got here, and have no idea where anything is."

The guy's smile widened.
"Yeah, I know where they are! C'mon, I'll show you."

"Thanks, man. My name's Aries, by the way."

"I'm Leo."

While Leo and I walked to the dorms, we talked about the school. We both agreed that it was super exciting because of all the fun stuff that could happen, but the actual school work was not going to be fun at all. Leo said that all the girls here were really hot, so that's pretty awesome, too. Leo told me that he was a big soccer fan, and I told him I liked basketball.
We continued to talk until we were at the third and final floor of the school. This floor was basically just a long hallway with six doors on each side.

"Every person gets their own room. Girls on the right, guys on the left. I'm in room five." Leo explained. I smiled. Nobody gets a roommate? That's awesome! I looked at the number on my key.

"I guess I'm in room one," I said.

I unlocked and opened the door to my room, tossing the bags on my bed. I'd arrange everything later.

Suddenly, the bell rang. Leo and I simultaneously began to run down the stairs.

"What class do we have?" I asked Leo. Thank God everyone always had the same class in this school, because there were only twelve students that could go here.

"Ummm.... Horoscope Reading, so that's this way!" Leo replied and made a sharp turn right, and I followed suite.

He stopped at the first door in the hallway, and we walked into the classroom. Leo and I took two empty seats beside each other in the back of the room.

Sagittarius' POV

School was more boring than I expected. Sure, I met one or two good people that I planned on hanging out with later, but it was the work that I had to do before then that got to me.

I let out a long sigh, staring at the assignment that I was already tired of. What we were supposed to do was read our horoscope, write an extended version of it, and then write if we thought if it was going to happen and why. After that, we had to write about our first experience with predicting things. It had to be at least two and a half pages long, and I hadn't even started yet.

All of a sudden, two good looking boys walked in and took the seats behind me. Well, all the boys in this school are good looking, but it's still worth pointing out. I smirked and turned around to face them.

"Hey," I whispered to them. They both looked up at me.

"It looks like some people are late for class." I teased, and the guy with dirty blonde hair rolled his eyes dramatically.

"So, what are we supposed to be doing right now?" The red haired boy beside him whispered, and I quietly explained the stupid thing we were supposed to do.

The dirty-blonde boy sighed.
"Wow, it sounds exciting." he said sarcastically. "I'm Leo, by the way."

"I'm Aries." The redhead beside him said.

I smiled. "I'm Sagittarius. You can call me Sagi."

The three of us continued talking until the teacher told us to get back to work. I barely finished the assignment on time, as did Aries and Leo.

The next class (Phys. Ed) went by in a blur, and it was finally time for the fifteen-minute break. Aries, Leo, and I met up as we planned. I had some people I wanted them to meet, and Leo did as well. We called them over, and introduced them to each other.

"Okay, everyone," I announced while gesturing towards two girls, "This girl with the teal hair is Aquarius, and the girl with the purple hair beside her is Gemini!"

"Hi!" Gemini said cheerfully, and Aquarius waved to everyone with a nice, genuine smile.
"And this is Aries, Leo, and...?" I said, while curiously staring at the new guy with a cute freckle under his eye that was standing beside Leo.

"This is Libra, everybody!" Leo loudly said, while putting his hand on Libra's shoulder. Libra gave everyone a nice smile. I noticed him smile at Aquarius longer than when he smiled at everyone else, and I smirked.

He's definitely going to be into her soon, if not already.

Libra's POV

I know I just met her, but I think I'm a little into Aquarius.

I mean, she's really pretty, and a unique individual. So, she really... Captivates me, y'know? I hope she likes me... As a friend, of course! I'd like to get to know her...

Soon enough, it was time for class, and I was walking with Leo and Aries.

"Oooh, you like Aquarius, man!" Leo says and nudges my shoulder.

"Wh-what?" Was all I managed to say. How'd they figure it out?

"Don't deny it, bro! Sagi told us that you were staring at her during our break." Aries said and grinned.

I blushed, and didn't even try to deny it. They already knew and I don't think I'd ever convince them otherwise. And even if I did, they'd probably still tease me about it.

I sighed. "Fine, fine. I do kinda like her, but don't tell anyone."

"Of course we won't, Libra!" Aries and Leo both said innocently at the same time.
Okay, now I know somethings up. Well, whatever. I guess I shouldn't let that get in the way of things.

Once we got to our Zodiac History class, everyone was already in their seats so there were only three seats remaining. One by Sagittarius, one by Aquarius, and one in the middle of those. Aries was already seated by Sagittarius. I began to walk towards the desk beside him, but Leo quickly took that seat and grinned at me. That meant the only seat left was beside Aquarius.

I took my seat beside her and we smiled politely at each other. Ugh, I hope I don't do anything stupid! I thought nervously.

But then again, I thought that maybe this was a good thing! I could get to know her better, like I wanted to. All I had to do was talk to her.
Just when I was about to say something, the teacher walked in.

"Alright class. Today we'll be reading about our zodiac origins." The teacher announced, and as she spoke, she looked through the cupboards for the history books.

"Oh my, it looks like I forgot the textbooks in the library... again. Now, I need two volunteers to get the history books from the library."

I noticed Aquarius raise her hand, and mine suddenly rose up as if it had a mind of its own! I could hear Sagittarius, Leo, and Aries snickering.

"Now let's see... Oh! Libra and..." the teacher called, and I silently pleaded in my head.
Aquarius.Aquarius.Aquarius.Aquar-

"Gemini! You two will get the books from the library. Now, go on!"

I mentally cursed as Gemini and I got up and left the classroom, clearly hearing the light laughter from Sagittarius, Aries, and Leo once again.

Gemini's POV

I KNEW IT! Libra likes Aqua, and even though he likes her just a little bit, HE LIKES HER! I saw him staring at Aqua during our class break, and knew I should test this out.
So, I told Aqua that we should raise our hands so that we could have fun walking to the library together, and Libra took the bait! He saw Aqua's hand in the air so he rose his hand too! Now, I didn't think we'd be paired together, of course, but it doesn't matter. My research is complete!

"So, Gemini..." Libra began.

"What's up?" I asked, looking straight ahead.

"How's your, uh.. day be-"

"Alright, Libra. Let's cut the chase."

Libra's eyes widened.

"What? What do you mean?"

"I think you know exactly what I mean."
I stared at him with cold eyes...

Then, all that melted away and I became super bubbly and excited.
"You like Aquarius!" I squealed.

Libra's cheeks tinted pink, and he slightly lowered his head.
"... Don't tell her, alright?" he finally said.

I grinned. "Of course I won't! I'm gonna wait for you to tell her instead," Libra's eyes widened and he looked at me, and I continued on. "But before you do, get to know her better! Talk to her! Yeesh, how do guys always get crushes so quickly? It hasn't even been a whole school day yet! But still, you should get to know her. I bet she'll really like you! I totally ship you two together. But what would your ship name be... Aquibra?"

When I was done talking, we were almost in the classroom.

"Wait! Libra!" I whisper-yelled, and he stopped walking and stared at me.

"Since I'm not telling Aqua about this, I need you to return the favour,"
Libra raised a brow at me. I lowered my voice more.
"I need you to ask Leo what he thinks of me, and then tell me later!"

Libra smirked.
"'Yeesh! How do girls always get crushes so easily? It hasn't even been a whole school day yet!'"

Leo's POV

History was a boring blur. But, it was worth the wait because afterwards is one of my favourite subjects. Lunch!

While Libra, Aries and I walked to the cafeteria, we continued to laugh and joke around. Also, we sometimes teased Libra about his little crush.

"Hey Leo," I looked at Libra, who had spoken to me just then. "What do you think of Gemini?" he asked.

I rose a brow. Where did that question come from? And what did I think if Gemini? I guess she's pretty cool... And hot-
Woah, woah, woah. Let's not pull a Libra here.

"Gemini? She's pretty cool." I answered.

"And hot." Aries added.

I rolled my eyes "Fine, and hot."

Libra smirked. "Alrighty then."

Now I was getting suspicious.
"Wait, why do you ask?" I questioned.

"No reason." Libra shrugged.

Aquarius' POV

So far, my first day of school had been great. I met so many awesome people, and school work hadn't been too hard. Everyone I'd hung out with had been really cool!

Gemini, Sagittarius and I were sitting at a table in the cafeteria, eating and chatting. A little while later Leo, Aries, and Libra joined us.
"Hey, guys!" Sagittarius greeted, and Gemini and I smiled at them.
The three boys smiled back, and we all went back to chatting, eating, and laughing.

"So, none of us have any homework. We should do something fun during study hall!"
Sagittarius said, and Aries, Leo, and Gemini agreed.

"Actually, I have some Horoscope Reading homework I have to do." I said, and smiled apologetically.

"What?!" Gemini yelled, "Aqua, your assignment was already four pages long! How could you have possibly not finished yet?"

"Well, I sorta dazed off in the middle of class, so I didn't get much done after that. I only finished the first two parts. Now all I have to do is write about my first experience with horoscopes." I explained.

Gemini just stared at me, her mouth agape. Then, she shook it off and regained her previous composure.

"You guys can still go do something fun during study hall! I just can't be there." I said

"Well... okay, I guess." Leo replied.

I looked over to the table across from us. There were six people sitting there, all quietly chatting. I wonder what those guys are doing, I thought curiously.

Taurus' POV

Ugh, school can be so boring sometimes. Thank God for lunch. I saw a girl with teal hair gazing curiously at us, and I gave her a quick, suspicious glare before turning back towards the people I was sitting with, while munching on my chips.

Well, at least I had some people to hang out with to make school a bit more bearable. I'd already made quite a few acquaintances, which is very surprising.

I still don't know how I think about all of them, though. They all seem to be moderately tolerable. I'm not sure if I trust any of them completely, but I'm sure if I needed help with something they'd give me a hand. Maybe I'd give them some help too...

Maybe.

Cancer's POV

The first day of high school had probably been one of the most stressful days in my life. What if I didn't understand anything? What if all of my teachers hated me? What if everyone at school hated me?

Questions like those ran through my mind repeatedly in the beginning of the day. I was so glad I didn't have a roommate, because that would've added more worrisome thoughts to the table.

Well, later on in the day I became less worried because I met some good people to hang out with. I do think that Scorpio can be a bit intimidating once in a while, but otherwise he's a really cool person.

Well, I guess I'd rather be slightly intimidated by the people I'm hanging out with than be alone.

Virgo's POV

I looked around our table. It was kind of quiet over here, but the silence was somehow comforting. Taurus had finished her small bag of chips and was now eating a cookie, Cancer was twiddling his thumbs, Scorpio was on his phone, Capricorn was resting his head in his palm while staring off into space, and Pisces looked like she was about to say something.

Just when she was about to speak, the bell rang and lunch was FINALLY over. To be honest, I was getting a little bored. I like my new... friends, but there was nothing to really talk about.

Ugh, somebody just say something already! I thought.

Scorpio's POV

I hate school. Sure, I get to hang out with people, but I don't need anyone to teach me anything. I could probably just learn this stuff by myself.

"So, um... what's everyone's favourite subject?" Pisces asked, trying to strike up a conversation.
"I'm not a fan of any subject." I replied monotonously.

"I have to agree with Scorpio... But, if I had to pick, I'd choose Phys. Ed." Taurus said.

"... I guess I like Zodiac History." Cancer muttered.

Capricorn nodded, saying "I like Horoscope Reading."

"I'm into Zodiac Identifying." Virgo said with a slight smile.

Pisces smiled as well, saying "I've always liked Astronomy."

Everyone nodded, and we entered the Zodiac Identifying classroom.

Class went by slowly, and it was finally study hall. At last, I got some time to myself.

Capricorn's POV

Aries, Leo, Sagittarius, and Gemini all left the classroom. They proclaim that they don't have any homework, but still. They should be studying or something.

I don't know exactly what my friends are doing, but it looks like Scorpio, Virgo, Taurus, and Cancer are reading (Cancer reading a book, and the others reading on their phones) and Pisces was... drawing or something. Aquarius and Libra were also in the classroom, the girl finishing the fifth and final page of her assignment and the guy reading a book, sometimes stealing glances at the teal-haired female. Once Aquarius had finished her assignment, she left the class to hand it in. When she came back, she began talking to Libra, a smile on both of their faces.

Me? I was just studying. Because I'm a goddamn boring human being that will forever be over-prepared for any pop quizzes. I knew that high school was going to be a pain, so I might as well get ahead while I wasn't completely stressed out.

Pisces' POV

Yes! The bell rang! After this little break, I'd finally get to be in my favourite class, Astronomy!

Cancer, Scorpio, Taurus, Capricorn, Virgo, and I all had a nice time chatting with each other before walking to our last class of the day.
Once in the classroom, we all took seats beside each other and listened to the teacher as he explained what we were supposed to do.
Our assignment was that we had to draw the arrangement of stars for our zodiac, and then draw the symbol hidden in the stars. Afterwards, we would write about our star sign and what it represents.

"Now, I'd like you to do a good, detailed job on the drawing," the teacher explained, "You're not in kindergarten anymore, so you must put good work and effort into your-"

"DONE!" Leo yelled and jumped out of his seat.
"I finished the drawing." he announced proudly, showing everyone his "work of art".

It actually wasn't that bad, but it was certainly not as detailed as the teacher wanted it to be.

The teacher stared long and hard at Leo's drawing. He then sighed and sat in his desk, placing his head in his hands.
"Get to work, everyone." he muttered.

"YES!" Leo shouted in triumph. His friends around him were all quietly laughing.

I began working on my drawing. I wanted it to be perfect, because I love to draw.
At the end of class, our teacher walked around the classroom and examined all the drawings. When he got to mine, he grinned.

"Excellent work, Pisces!" he said, and I blushed and smiled shyly.

My friends came to my desk to look at my drawing. They all agreed that it was very good, and I grinned.

After class, the teacher took our assignments.
Everyone began walking with their friends to their dorms, exchanging numbers as they went.
I stepped into my room (room twelve) and sat on my bed, looking at the new contacts on my phone. High school had a lot to deal with, but at least I wouldn't have to deal with it all alone.
